Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the Swedish industry- and craftmanship trade, specifically the relationship between effort and reward and how it affects the meaningfulness during labour hours. Also, what are the possible effects on production efficiency as a whole? Discussed and analyzed through empirics and previous research.38 workers filled out a survey and two interviews were conducted to get a more analytic depth to the data.The results showed that there is little to no reward for high effort during labour hours on the evaluated workplaces, combined with low commitment and meaningfullness. My conclusions are that more ways of effort-based rewards would likely have a positive effect on meaningfulness and thereby the production as a whole. I also show that the theses of Karl Marx are still plausible and relevant in modern day industrial- and craftsmanship trades in capitalist countries..

This essay revolves around the organization Mobile Art Production, MAP, and their artexhibition Street View shown on Kungsportsavenyn, Gothenburg two weeks in April 2010. Beingan alternative to traditional art institutions, MAP sets out goals for their activities and the aim ofthe essay is to examine whether the main goals of the organization were fulfilled through theexhibition. In Street View six Swedish artists participated with a total of seven artworks.The theoretical framework is formed using Arthur C. BillerudKorsnäs is a leading global provider of primary fiber-based packaging materials and on Gruvöns Bruk in Grums, they have chosen to invest millions in the boiler at the facility to increase the total capacity of the factory. This results in the Pulp Flash Dryer at Gruvön being burden more, which makes it important that it is of great reliability and can be run with a high capacity. The reliability of the Pulp Flash Dryer at Gruvön is not as good as one could hope, which leads to reduced availability and production, as well as to increased maintenance costs. There are a number of different reasons for this, but all the casual links are not known.The purpose of this project was to perform a system analysis of the Pulp Flash Dryer to identify bottlenecks and the most critical parts from a capacity- and availability perspective. Appropriate methodology for the system analysis was used and would be used in a structured way to perform the analysis with data from the process and the maintenance system.

The aim of this literature review is to give an overview of the differences between pure- and crossbreeding systems. Crossbreeding is a mating system with individuals of different lines or breeds. It is one of several breeding strategies in dairy production used to increase the economic profit. The use of crossbreeding increases due to changes in the dairy market and an increase of inbreeding among purebred Holstein. The main benefit of crossbreeding is heterosis, which is the improvement in genetic level in a hybrid offspring above the average of the parent breeds.

Detta har varit ett examensarbete om 20 poäng på programmet för Fysisk Planering vid Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Det har varit ett enskild arbete och handledning har kommit från två handledare på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Mittseminarium för arbetet hölls 29 januari 2004 på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola i närvaro av handledaren, opponenten och andra åhörare. Ett avsnitt berättar kort historik om Mörbylångas framväxt, om ortens hamn och om sockerbruket som fanns på orten 1908-1991. Det avsnittet är tänkt för att introducera läsaren i Mörbylånga och i det aktuella planområdet. Åldersbestämningen som finns på befintliga byggnader är endast ungefärlig, då de exakta årtalen har varit synnerligen svåra att få tag på. Nulägesbeskrivningen består i kartor som visar hur Mörbylånga försörjs trafikmässigt via ett större omland.

Hallstaviks papermill is an industry plant within Holmen Paper. Hallstavik is a mechanical mill and produce newspaper and journal paper. During year 2000, Hallstavik used approximate 1.200 m3f spruce, either as logs or chips from sawmills. Due to that the production is running continuously the mill also needs raw material at the same rate. At some periods the supply of raw material cannot keep up pace.

Den har blandstaden som förebild för stadsutveckling för ett stationsnära område som idag består till merparten av industriverksamheter med en viss blandning av bostadsbebyggelse. I kontrast mot denna finns en fördjupning för östra Eslöv som pekar ut bebyggelseexploatering i stadens periferi på god åkermark. Syftet med examensarbetet är att studera, beskriva och definiera stadsbyggnadsbegreppet blandstad samt hur den kan gestaltas i den fysiska miljön. Begreppet sätts i kontrast till funktionsseparering, zonering och stadsutglesning. En blandning av funktioner innebär konflikter.

A large part of research about libraries and library buildings in Sweden has been focused on how the building looks not how it functions with the library. The aim with this master?s thesis is to study how a library building is functioning and how its users are experiencing it. This is studied in three libraries, Kungliga tekniska högskolans bibliotek, Sambiblioteket in Härnösand and Vitterhetsakademiens bibliotek. With the questions of how they were planed, what did the libraries want from the new building and which of these demands were realized.

This report is a result of a diplomawork in construction engineering.The goal of this thesis is to highlighthow the work with planning andperformance management is done in theprojects at the Swedish buildingcontractor Skanska Väg & anläggning,region Stockholm/Mälardalen, districtMark Stockholm North, compared toSkanska?s policies.The comparison was made with focus onfive tools for productivity. The toolsare as follow: broken-down schedule,work sets, visual control, performancemanagement/progress monitoring and bestpractice.The study showed that the usage of thedifferent tools varied both within andbetween the different projects.Practically none of the projects whereusing the tools progress monitoring andbest practice, mostly due to fewoperations being applicable. The worksets are now mostly documented, but theyare rarely followed up. Performancemanagement is somewhat inconsequentialfor the moment, but during 2011 targetsheets will be introduced, withtemplates for setting up targets.Scheduling is one of the most importantworks regarding planning.

Orsa Besparingsskog has an aim to take nature considerations in relation to the harvested volume and area of the annual felling. Around 15 percent of the acreage and 10 percent of the volume should be set aside. It is important to keep close to those figures to avoid future negative effects on the long-term harvesting planning. The purpose of this study was to use laser scanning data to estimate those proportions. The result showed that the proportion of conservation considerations in the ten selected objects in the study was significantly higher than the target of 15 percent of the acreage and 10 percent of the volume. The result showed a setting aside of 19 percent of the acreage and 17 percent of the volume.

Detta examensarbete undersöker hur man med hjälp av fysisk planering och gestaltning kan skapa förutsättningar för trygghet och säkerhet i 60-talens bostadsområden. Som ett exempelområde har Dalbo i Växjö använts. Efter en historisk och teoretisk genomgång presenteras förslag till förändringar som kan gynna tryggheten och säkerheten i Dalbo En historisk bakgrund till 60-talets bostadsbyggande och förändringsarbeten i socialt utsatta område ges. Den visar att den samhällsekonomiska utvecklingen, tillsammans med det samhällspolitiska klimatet och den nya tekniken under 60-talet fick stark inverkan på vad som byggdes. Erfarenheter från förändrings-arbeten visar att det krävs ett multisektoriellt arbetssätt för att lyckas i de mest utsatta bostadsområdena.

This is a study, the purpose of which is to investigate how the construction company Sefab Bygg AB is able to increase its profitability and render a more efficient production process through logistic solutions. The study is made during one of Sefab´s present projects. The project includes sanitary renovation of 650 apartments in the co-operative Opalen in Norrköping.To find out whether changes of logistic routines are profitable or not, it?s necessary to evaluate the total cost of the changes. A total cost analysis is a mapping of all the costs for a particular material, on one hand for the present situation and on the other after the change.

Study objects: Three different productions companies which the authors have chosen to be anonymous. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to examine why production companies choose to use 3D-animations in television commercials, and what different kind of aspects affects their decisions. Theoretical: The theoretical chapter reviews the history of 3D-animation andtelevision commercials and other fields that will be relevant laterin the analysis and discussion. Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, two of the companies are active in post-production and the other one is active in the consulting area. Data was collected through semistructured interviews with two of the companies.
