I början på 1980-talet kom den första riskkapitalvågen till Sverige men det var först under senare delen av 1990- talet som marknaden för riskkapitalfinansierade investeringar blev riktigt attraktiv. Detaljhandeln har fått ett kraftigt uppsving på börsen den senaste tiden vilket lett att noteringar av nya bolag inom framförallt klädindustrin har ökat kraftigt. Två exempel på detta är KappAhl och Gant. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur och på vilket sätt riskkapitalbolagen Accent Equity och 3i har skapat ett ökat värde i KappAhl respektive Gant som de har investerat i. För att finna svar på detta har intervjuer genomförts med respektive riskkapitalbolag men även med noteringsprospekt.

Forest management plans have been sold to private forest owners by wood supplying companies for a long time. These plans are considered to be effi-cient tools to identify measures and wood volumes, and are simply a starting point for discussions between private forest owners and round wood pur-chasers. However, large variations are observed between different purchas-ers, in their usage of the plans. The purpose of this report is to identify to what extent a forest management plan can promote an increase in the amount of wood which a round wood purchaser can obtain and to find differences in the way of using the plans between different wood purchasers. Furthermore, the purpose is also to ana-lyse if varying owner structures can be underlie variations in the selling of forest management plans. Qualitative interviews with nine of Stora Enso?s round wood purchasers were performed.

Studiens syfte är att försöka beskriva Övervakningspanelens eventuella effekt på de bolag på Stockholmsbörsen som fått anmärkning. Detta realiseras genom att undersöka vad det är för typ av anmärkningar bolagen får, hur de hanterar dem och vilka faktorer som kan leda till att bolag får anmärkning. Vi började med att söka information om de teorier som vi använder i arbetet samt att utforma en modell som ledde till ett antal hypoteser. Vi kom fram till att positiv redovisningsteori, agentteori, institutionellteori och legitimitetsteori var de teorier som vi ansåg vara rätt att använda.För att uppnå syftet genomfördes dokumentstudier genom att granska årsredovisningar och kritik från Övervakningspanelen som lett till anmärkning på bolag. Detta ledde till en totalundersökning av noterade bolag på Stockholmsbörsens dåvarande A- och O-listor.Empiriska fakta analyserades bland annat med hjälp av olika tester i SPSS.

This essay reviews the situation for small actors in the Swedish clothing industry. In this essay we assume that loyalty is a requirement for survival on the competitive clothing market. Four small actors have been analyzed up on theories on loyalty, brand equity, relationship marketing, service marketing, quality, interactive marketing, distribution and value creating activities. The chosen actors are Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, Boutique Sportif, Jenny Hellström and Ida Sjöstedt. The conclusion of the essay is that it is possible for small actors on the Swedish clothing market to build loyal relationships with their customers.

Studien belyser skillnader mellan hur bolag med och utan resultatbaserad ersättning allokerar goodwill och immateriella tillgångar vid rörelseförvärv. Studien omfattar noterade bolag på NASDAQ OMX Stockholm. Noterade bolag är efter införandet av IASBs redovisningsstandarder i Sverige 2005 skyldiga att vid rörelseförvärv identifiera och särredovisa immateriella tillgångar från goodwill i linje med IFRS 3. Studien uppmärksammar att stora delar av köpeskillingen allokeras till goodwill och att få immateriella tillgångar identifieras. Ett av motiven till detta kan finnas inom Positive Accounting Theory där företagsledningen antas handla i egenintresse genom att välja en redovisningsmetod som gynnar resultatet och därmed också den personliga ersättningen.

Today it is a keen competition between forest companies about the wood from private forest owners. In order to get access to the wood from the private forestry you need to be an attractive collaboration partner, who can offer long-term collaboration, service at top-level, and acting for good prices to the forest owners. This work aims at analysing the situation on the market today. It gives Sveaskog purchase department a good view of the forest owners? opinion in general about the existing purchase activities. Forestry service level and timber prices are determining factors for a successful relationship between forest company and forest owner.

The purpose of our essay is to investigate and compare the general and operational risk management in the private and public sector. As an introduction to the subject we describe the differences and similarities between the two sectors. Our survey is based on the term risk, the definitions of risk management, its development and finally the process of risk management. Since our survey is focusing on operational risks we also describe the operational process and the specific operational risks.The method we used to investigate the subject is a quantitative method. A survey was sent to 100 companies in Sweden, of which 50 were private companies and 50 were public companies.

The retailing industry has an extremely high density of brands. In order to differentiate its offer, both retailers and suppliers, are constantly forced to come up with new ways to launch their products. A collaborative strategy between two brands is called co-branding, which means that both the private label and the supplier's brand are displayed on the new product packaging. Several studies have shown that a co-branding strategy is successful, but many operators are still reluctant to use co-branding in fear of long-term losses due to potentially damaged business relations. The objective of this study is to explain how the product- and brand related value for customers, retailers and suppliers is affected by co-branding between private labels and national brands.

When new legislation named the JOBS Act in the U.S. becomes effective in late 2015, crowd equity will surely become a popular tool for financing businesses. Because crowdfunding great popularity is caused by the possibility to reach out to crowds through the internet, it is a global phenomenon, why it's relevant to examine current legislations in jurisdictions. Data retrieved from airborne laser scanning represents a new source of forest data. Today, the technology has matured so that it can function in an operational environment. The aim of this study was to compile areas of application of laserdata in forestry. Moreover to analyze costs and accessibility of laserdata. The goal was to provide private forest owners information to support assessments of possible benefits of laserdata.

In this thesis we study the development of post-earnings announcement drift (PEAD) in the Swedish equity market from 2000 to 2009. By forming portfolios based on the stock price reaction to quarterly reporting we show that the characteristics of PEAD have changed. We demonstrate that negatively surprising companies show a positive drift during a holding period of six months sufficiently large to render the trading strategy unprofitable. This development holds from 2005 and onwards and these results contradict many a study which finds the same portfolio construction to be indeed profitable. We argue that this development is a trend that will not only affect our study but future studies as well..

Vi har valt att undersöka hur nyemissioner påverkar aktiekursen. Detta eftersom det den senaste tiden genomförts ett antal nyemissioner på stockholmsbörsen. Undersökningen genomfördes genom en kvantitativ eventstudie av ett antal nyemissioner genomförda på stockholmsbörsen mellan åren 2000-2007. I undersökningen delades de identifierade bolagen upp efter storlek och bransch för att därigenom försöka finna eventuella mönster. För att kunna dra konkreta slutsatser beräknades, med hjälp av ett t-test, konfidensintervall för de olika kategorierna fram.

I denna kandidatuppsats ämnar vi undersöka några viktiga drivkrafter som driver koncentrationerna av svenska bankers etablering inom kluster för Private Banking i Luxemburg. An investigation of the remedies in the Swedish Public Procurement Law. The result of this investigation shows that the remedies are not satisfactory in upkeeping the Procurement Law. The swedish legislator has not fulfilled the demands of the European Councils Regulations in this area. This results in ineffective use of public funding as well as discriminating actions against private suppliers. I have found that some changes must take place in the legislation and that an electronic procurement procedure makes the legislation easier for both the public and the private parties to understand..
