Dagens affärsklimat ställer höga krav på bolag beträffande strategiska val på en allt mer globaliserad marknad. I uppsatsen föreslås att denna eskalerande globalisering kan vara associerad med bolagens framgång. Internationella bolagsförvärv och fusioner samt de initiala avsiktsdeklarationer som förkommer vid dessa transaktioner blir då centrala faktorer att beakta för bolagen, i sökandet efter förbättrade resultat. Baserat på detta skildrar uppsatsen innebörden av en initial avsiktsdeklaration, närmare bestämt ett Letter of Intent (LOI). Uppsatsen belyser innebörden av ett LOI ur ett strukturellt, juridiskt och praktiskt perspektiv.

Recent corporate challenges require effective communication in order to secure a company?s reputation. Companies as a result, need to be committed to a series of corporate social and environmental practices along with their financial commitments to their shareholders and investors. In fact, businesses are required to go above their ordinary operations and involve all potential stakeholders that can be affected by their strategies. Companies also need to communicate social, environmental and economic consequences of their activities along with their CSR commitments to their internal and external stakeholders in order to make a better corporate image and improve their market opportunities.

Byggföretagen är intresserade av att hitta nya billigare metoder att bygga med. Idag diskuteras slitsmurar och sekantpålning sedan det har blivit tillåtet att integrera dessa i den permanenta konstruktionen och därmed vinna produktionsfördelar. Genom integrering i den permanenta konstruktionen utnyttjas stödkonstruktionen som permanent källarvägg. Syftet med arbetet är att se om det kan vara intressant att använda slitsmurar eller sekantpålar vid kommande byggnation vid kv. Heimdal i Uppsala.Utomlands används slitsmurar och sekantpålar i innerstadsmiljö.

The red-tailed monkey (Cercopithecus ascanius) is a small, alert and active animal inhabiting forests with dense vegetation and as such hard to observe in its natural habitat. The principal aim of this study was to scrutinize whether the methods, previously used in a behavioural study of the blue monkey (Cercopithecus mitis) can be applied in studies of the red-tailed monkey?s behaviour as well. Additionally, habitat preference and foraging behaviour of the red-tailed monkey were examined. The study was carried out between the 16th and the 22nd of March 2009 in the Sabaringo forest, located on the western border of the Masai Mara National Reserve.

After I heard that two deadly accidents in farming 2003 were created by work with cattle, I got the idea of writing this degree project. So far there are not too many reports written about safety for the worker nor the animal. Therefore it will fit in with a report about safe handling of free stalled cattle. The Swedish Board of Agriculture would also like to do an information material about outside stalled cattle with this degree project as a background. The collecting of material was made by visiting farmers. The goal was to visit 15 ? 20 herds and when this is being written 19 herds have been visited.

Dagens företag och organisationer måste ständigt förändra och förnya sig för att kunna överleva. Många av de studier som genomförts, visar att implementeringar av strategiska beslut i företag och organisationer ofta misslyckas och implementerings-arbetet beskrivs av många forskare som en konst snarare än en vetenskap. Förändringsarbetet och i synnerhet implementeringsfasen är det som fokuseras i detta arbete. Det finns många olika orsaker till varför implementeringsarbeten misslyckas, men genomgående så lyfts den interna kommunikationen fram som en ytterst kritisk faktor. Detta är orsaken till att vi på djupet studerat detta ämnesområde.

Swedish law is very keen on the fact that every person should be treated equal when facing the legal system. When it comes to cases concerning children, social workers and judges are expected to strictly obey the rules of the law but at the same time make individual judgements based on the best interest of the child, something that requires a great deal of empathy and knowledge. Is it possible to live up to the maxim about equality and to simultaneously see the individual needs? With so many different parties and angles in the case, how does one manage to make a solid appraisal of the situation that truly serves the best interest of the child?The purpose of this study was to examine the capability within the social services with focus on objectivity. More specifically it's aim was to find out how the social workers and judges see their capability of being objective in the investigations concerning children.

Bakgrunden som har lett fram till denna studie är de nya rekommendationerna angående implementering av komponentmodellen som först uppkom inom den privata sektorn genom K3 och sedan i den offentliga sektorn via nya rekommendationer från RKR. Denna bakgrund har lett fram till studiens syfte vilket är att öka förståelsen för skillnader i implementeringen av komponentavskrivningar i landstingens verksamheter samt eventuella effekter av denna implementering.En flerforskningsmetod har använts för att kunna besvara de frågeställningar som har ställts. Denna metod har inkluderat en kvantitativ dokumentstudie som har baserat sig på landstingens och regionernas årsredovisningar samt en kvalitativ undersökning som inkluderat material från intervjuer med ansvariga personer inom nio landsting. Den kvantitativa dokumentstudien ledde främst fram till en kartläggning över vilka landsting och regioner som har implementerat komponentmodellen. Utöver denna kartläggning ledde även den kvantitativa undersökningen fram till att faktorer som förklarar orsakssamband inom den privata sektorn har svårigheter att förklara samband inom den offentliga sektorn.Den kvalitativa undersökningen kunde stärka de förkastelser av samband från den kvantitativa undersökningen.

I och med friskolereformen i början på 1990-talet har förutsättningarna för skolor förändrats och konkurrensen hårdnat. Marknadsföring av skolor har blivit allt vanligare och vilket anseende skolan har är avgörande. Tidigare forskning har visat att nöjda anställda leder till att kunder blir tillfredställda och lojala, de som tar hand om sina anställda och agerar på deras idéer visar ett bättre resultat. Därför kan intern marknadsföring ses som ett verktyg för att hantera denna konkurrens.Syftet med denna uppsats är att utifrån ledningens perspektiv få förståelse för och beskriva vilka faktorer inom skolbranschen som påverkar den interna kommunikationen och vilka förutsättningar dessa faktorer ger för intern marknadsföring. In addition to original background, appar-ently the municipality?s service-dominated trade and industry culture has also affected the choice of education and profession of the youth in Norrtälje.

As a school welfare officer you are often alone of having your perspective and must struggle to preserve that perspective. At the same time, there are very little defined what role a social worker should have in a school. This makes it nessesary to form and develop your role of profession independently. According to the Swedish school law, the schools are not required to employ a welfare officer. This makes the school welfare officer inferior to the other branches of occupation in school.

This report presents a thesis project conducted by two students at Mälardalens högskola. The project covers 15 points in industrial design and was conducted during April to June 2014. The principal of the thesis works at Plastic Produkter. The assignment was to develop equipment for an effective way to dose, mix silicon, fill a special designed plastic bag and then seal it. The bag is then formed into a breast model.When a customer for various reasons decides to do a breast augmentation or a breast reconstruction, there may be doubt or uncertainty about the result.

This paper is about the composition and function of boards of social enterprises. A social enterprise can be defined as a company, which is founded by users or external stakeholder in order to create jobs (or a work place), a meaning in live or to further integration. One tries to achieve this goal by a business activity and/or subsidies and/or neighbourhood projects. The amount of social enterprises grew steadily after the restructuring of social welfare in Sweden since the 1980. Alternative forms of welfare ? such as a social enterprise ? will probably grow further in importance.
