Noise in schools can have negative effect on the teaching environment and speech perception. The national Child Environmental Health Surveys (BMHE) conducted in 2003 and 2011 studied how 12-year olds experience their sound environment in school. Results showed that the number of pupils that experience annoyance from noise increased from 2003 to 2011.Aim: The aim of this study was to study how 12-year olds perceive their sound environment in school.Methodology and material: A quantitative questionnaire survey was conducted in the sixth grade at two schools. The questionnaire used included questions from BMHE and self-produced questions. Sixtynine students answered the questionnaire.Results: Over 50 % of the respondents experience annoyance from noise in school several times a week.

Myofasciella triggerpunkter (MTrP) är ett relativt vanligt problem hos befolkningen. Det största problemet för de drabbade är smärta men det kan även orsaka rörelseinskränkningar samt ge refererad smärta. Diagnosen ställs enligt Simon och Travell utifrån ett antal olika diagnoskriterier, så som palperbara knölar i muskulaturen och ökad känslighet på och runt dessa. Sjukgymnastiska smärtreducerande behandlingsmetoder kan delas upp i invasiva- eller icke invasiva metoder. Syfte: Syftet var att genom en systematisk litteratursammanställning kartlägga evidensen för olika smärtreducerande sjukgymnastiska behandlingsmetoder vid MTrP i nacke, skuldra och ländrygg.

Introduktion: Invandringen ökar konstant till Sverige och att vara född utanför Norden anses vara den största riskfaktorn för försämrad tandhälsa. Flera orala sjukdomar är en konsekvens av bristande munhygien, bakteriella beläggningar och tobaksbruk.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att kartlägga upplevelsen av den egna munhälsan, kunskapen om munhälsa, munhygienvanor samt tobaksvanor hos en grupp invandrare.Frågeställningar: Vilka är dessa personers munhygienvanor? Vilka är dessa personers tobaksvanor? Vilken kunskap har dessa personer vad gäller sjukdomsuppkomst och prevention beträffande karies, gingivit och parodontit? Hur upplever dessa personer sin individuella munhälsa?Metod: En enkätundersökning genomfördes på en skola i Stockholm som undervisar i svenska för invandrare (SFI). Totalt deltog 56 individer i undersökningen.Resultat: Resultatet visade en varierande kunskapsnivå gällande orala sjukdomars uppkomst och prevention. Beträffande munhygienvanor uppger 48,1 % att de borstar tänderna två gånger dagligen och 80,8 % använder tandkräm innehållande fluor.

The aim of this study was to understand how social workers perceive and understand violence and threats of violence from clients, and how it effect their working environment. It seems that the respondents understand the violence and threats of violence from clients as a result of the clients background problems, vulnerability, dependency and from ?the reason" that the client is currently in the contact with the organization. How respondents interpret the client´s behaviour based on the above-mentioned factors, seem to determine how the respondents perceive and define the violence and threats of violence by clients directed against them. Interestingly enough, although all respondents in the study experienced violence and threats of violence from clients, none of them perceived themselves as exposed at work. The answer to this is consensual.

Abstract Background: The World Health Organization has expressed a great concern about the increasing prevalence of childhood obesity. Region Västra Götaland (VGR) has developed a web based program to support school nurses in their work to promote health among children with obesity. Previous research on childhood obesity emphasizes the importance of support from nurses and how their work is organized. Aim: The aim of the study is, firstly, to explore school nurses experiences with health promotion work among obese children. Secondly, to investigate whether school nurses use the salutogenic theory of health.

Bakgrund: Det finns flera bakomliggande orsaker till att unga konsumerar alkohol. Lagar och förordningar finns till för att hindra minderåriga från att bruka alkohol. Trots detta har ett högt antal minderåriga ett riskbeteende relaterat till användningen av alkohol och dessa individer respekterar inte lagen. Skolsjuksköterskan har en betydande roll i preventionsarbetet mot minderårigas alkoholkonsumtion och använder flera strategier för att främja barn och ungas hälsa.Syfte: Att beskriva skolsjuksköterskans hälsofrämjande strategier mot minderårigas alkoholkonsumtion.Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserat på tio kvalitativa studier.Resultat: Två kategorier kunde urskiljas utifrån syftet: hälsosamtal och familjestrategier. Ur kategorin hälsosamtal urskiljs subkategorierna hälsoenkät och motiverande samtal.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att lyfta fram hur vardagen upplevs, och vad som påverkar den, av patienter med svårläkande venöst bensår. Elva vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och kvalitetsbedömdes enligt givna kriterier. Därefter inleddes den strukturella analysen där tre huvudteman framträdde. Carnevalis balansmodell användes som teoretisk referensram. The ever-growing problem of antibiotic resistance provides surgical departments a big challenge when it comes to preventing the spread of infection. Operating theatre nurses have a vital role in the prevention of infection. In addition, correct ventilation in the operating theatre is of great importance. The caregiver is responsible for quality assurance of ventilation in the operating theatre, but the work can be delegated to other staff within the department.

The leading companies from every industry is often becoming the frame for how the production process works and is therefore exposed to outer pressure which, for example, is coming from consumers and the media. Since consumers at present are more aware of what they are buying and where it comes from, it is important that the companies take social responsibility. We have therefore studied three big companies within the clothing industry to see in witch way they are taking their social responsibility.Purpose: Our purpose was to explore how companies within the clothing industry describe their work with Corporate Social Responsibility, code of conducts and where the incentive behind this work is coming from.Method: We have, through a qualitative study, examined how three large companies work with Corporate Social Responsibility.

Bakgrund: Trycksår har alltid funnits inom vården och delas in i fyra grader. Trycksår utvecklas då ischemi uppstår över benutskott. Immobilitet och tryck orsakar ett minskat blodflöde. Det finns flera risker som bidrar till att trycksår uppstår. Det finns även flera bedömningsinstrument för att underlätta sjukvårdens bedömning av riskpatienter.

In recent years the construction industry has been exposed to increased time pressure which has resulted in a higher amount of wastage. Today 35 % of all construction projects in Sweden is "wasted". Time pressure has risen due to increased competition on the market, with more actors entering the construction business, therefore profit margins decreased which has led to a more pressing need for decreasing the amount of wastage.Bravida is Scandinavia's largest supplier of installations and provides specialist services in electrical installations (heating and sanitation), and ventilation. Mahdi Bawaqneh's task was to investigate where, how and why wastage occurs in the company's projects and how to prevent such wastage. The thesis covers the subjects of lean production, communication in projects and planning of projects.

This project is about development of virtual drums for iPhone and iPad. The project aims to provide the company Toontrack AB with a good foundation to build drumbased apps. The focus has been on getting a quick response when playing and that user interfaces should be easy to use, intuitive and customizable. The result is impressive and both audio and graphics are of excellent quality thanks to good collaboration with Toontrack, that previously has developed drum-based software.
