Informell internkommunikation på en statlig myndighet ? En fallstudie vid Swedac

This thesis is a case study of the informal internal communication at a Swedish government agency called Swedac. The purpose of the study was to investigate how the employees perceive and use the informal internal communication, what communication media they utilize for it and how the informal internal communication correlates to certain aspects of the organizational structure. In order to achieve this, six qualitative interviews was carried out with employees in the organization. Since informal internal communication is not a well-defined concept I explained my view of the concept in the thesis. The results show that the informal internal communication is very important and fairly widespread at Swedac.

När karriären krackelerar? En studie om hur unga journalister tänker kring situationen på arbetsmarknaden

Den här uppsatsen låter sex unga journalister komma till tals med avseende på hur de tänker kring förhållandena på arbetsmarknaden. Syftet är att med hjälp av en kvalitativ intervjustudie belysa hur unga journalister tänker kring sin karriär, framtid och livet vid sidan av yrket.Arbetsgivarna inom mediebranschen tillhör dem som i störst utsträckning kringgår lagen om anställningsskydd (LAS). Det innebär att många journalisters första arbetslivserfarenheter består av vikariat och tillfälliga anställningar. Detta resulterar i ett kringflackande liv som för med sig konsekvenser på det privata planet.De sex intervjupersonerna har olika erfarenheter av hur det är att komma ut i arbetslivet från en journalistutbildning. En viktig slutsats från studien är att de sex intervjupersonerna på olika sätt fått anpassa sina liv efter branschens krav på flexibilitet, tillgänglighet och rörlighet.

"Man kan vara lundabo, skåning och svensk på samma gång" : Vi-känsla i en organisation

Vi har i vår uppsats utfört våra empiriska studier vid Medicinska fakulteten på Institutionen för hälsa, vård och samhälle. Vi har här valt att undersöka vi-känslan inom organisationen. I Medicinska fakultetens kommunikationsplan står det nämligen att organisationen strävar mot att stärka vi-känslan. Vi har även tidigare i olika företagssammanhang stött på begreppet vi-känsla, men begreppet utvecklas sällan vidare i akademisk litteratur. Därför har vi med vår undersökning velat ta reda på vilka faktorer som inverkar på vi-känslan och hur olika internkommunikativa strategier kan utvecklas för att stärka vi-känslan inom organisationen.

Tillsammans: men varför? En kvantitativ studie om parrelationer.

Imagine not being able to choose who you are going to be in an intimate relationship with. It used to be like that but the situation has changed - these days we have a lot of different options available to choose for ourselves how to live our lives. We have a lot of different ways to influence how we want to live our lives and with whom we want to share them with.The aim of this study was to examine how individuals feel about their relationship and why they choose to stay in a relationship with their current partner. How do individuals in a relationship feel about aspects including for example conflicts, communication and trust? Is Anthony Giddens theory about the pure relationship applicable on relationships today? To find the answers to these questions we made a quantitative study and used a questionnaire to collect empirical data.

Förändringar är till det bättre... eller? : En intervjustudie om kommunikationsförändringar på ett teknikkonsultföretag -ur ett ledarperspektiv

To lead is to communicate, a main part of the leadership. 80 % of leaders working tasks involve communication of some kind. The ambition of this study is to analyze how four leaders of an international technique consulting company experience and handle community and technical development during their professional courses. The leaders have a various experience of leadership which adds depth and width to this study. To perform the study qualitative method has been used in the form of personal interviews.The result indicates that change is not always beneficial in every aspect of communication.

Bulgarien- den andra vågen. En fallstudie av EU: s inflytande över Bulgarien.

Efter kommunismens fall 1989, tampades Bulgarien med sociala, ekonomiska och politiska svårigheter. År 2002 ansåg EU att landet var stabilt nog för att bli medlem i januari 2007, men vägen dit har inte varit lätt. Uppsatsen behandlar EU: s utvidgningspolitik och söker förklara Bulgariens väg mot ett medlemskap. Ända sedan EU- kommissionen publicerade sin första rapport, har Bulgarien strävat efter att reformera inom det ekonomiska, juridiska, sträva efter en noll- tolerans mot korruption och arbeta för minoriteters rättigheter. Ett teoretiskt ramverk är applicerat för att förklara händelsekedjan från EU: s krav till de reformer Bulgarien genomfört.

This thesis concerns the subject of social media in the internal communication, how it can function to improve the communication among the coworkers. Good Old has been the web agency of our case study, through them we have gained understanding of the phenomenon. Media and communication theories and interviews have given us the foundation of the thesis.Our conclusion shows that it is beneficial to use social media internally in the type of company that Good Old is. Furthermore, the result shows that it can improve the communication, increase organizational learning and unity among coworkers. Finally social media can make organizations more effective..

The social network site Facebook has since its start in 2004 made a mark in modern communication. Today in 2010 the site has more than 500 million users. "Det händer inte oss" : Värdet av kriskommunikation och mediehantering

Purpose: The study aims to analyze how companies can learn from past communications in critical situations and during corporate crisis, and see how they use this knowledge in the management of subsequent critical situations and corporate crisis. Furthermore, the media is analyzed to see how the newspaper industry chooses to reflect an organization and its actions, and also to see if the pressure through articles in the newspapers has an impact on the extent of the situation.Method: A qualitative case study of Sweden?s largest food company, ICA Sverige AB, where knowledgeable people in media management within the company are interviewed using semi-structured interviews, with support of quantitative methods by a collection of articles from the news press.Theories: Concepts, theories and models in crisis management and communication has been applied to relevant data. These comprise Knowledge Management, a communication template in crisis management, The Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) and the model Content of crisis communication.Empiric: Based on the quantitative data consisting of articles from four Swedish news sources: Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Aftonbladet and Expressen, a semi-structured interview guide was created and carried out with the person within ICA who possesses knowledge of the subject area.Conclusion: ICA has during the priod studied exhibited to have used the concept of Knowledge Management in the development of their routines regarding product recalls at product defects. The relationships between ICA and the media have shown improvements, which has resulted in ICA percieve the media coverage as balanced, true and fair..

Upprördheten hade sin grund i Elvis sexuellt utmanande kroppsrörelser och rhythm and blues betonade musik. De här artistiska stildragen avslöjade också Elvis influenser från den svarta kulturen i ett USA som vid tiden var präglat av rasism och segregation.

Kommunikativ interaktion i den synkrona elektroniska referenstjänsten : Den interpersonella kommunikationen mellan användare och bibliotekarie

The aim of this master thesis is to gain greater knowledge of interpersonal communication. This study explores on one hand how interpersonal communication can be used as an important part of reference work in a Swedish electronic synchronous reference service, and on the other how interpersonal communication affects the relationship between user and librarian. By using communication theory and establishing a positive relational contact with the user in the electronic environment, the outcome of the reference encounter can be successful for both the librarian and the user. Furthermore, the importance of recognising relational barriers is of great relevance to the relational contact. The scope of this master thesis is to find what relational factors are used and can be used in the interaction between user and librarian.

Internkommunikation på IKEA : En funktionsanalys av IKEA Uppsalas interna kommunikation

En funktionsanalys av IKEA Uppsalas interna kommunikation)Author: Fredrik JohanssonAim: The purpose of this study is to analyze the internal communication at IKEA Uppsala.Are the channels of communication working efficiently? How is the information received by the employees? Finally I will make a few suggestions on how the internal communication can be improved.Method/Material: The method used in this study is quantitative. The internal communication at IKEA Uppsala is analyzed based on the results of a questionnaire. 75 employees at three different divisions were given questions on how they appreciate the communication channels at IKEA in Uppsala. 50 answers were received.Main results: The results clearly show that even though the internal communication at IKEA seems to work well in general, a few of the channel needs to be improved.
