Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937) var en polsk tonsättare. Stiliserade kompositioner utgör en stor del av hans verksamhet. Szymanowski inspirerades av polska nationella folkdanser (krakowiak, kujawiak, mazur, oberek och polonez) samt av Podhalemusiken. På vilket sätt använde han folkmusiken i sina kompositioner och vilken plats har de stiliserade kompositionerna i hans verksamhet? Uppsatsen innehåller en presentation av Szymanowski som tonsättare, en karakteristik av polska nationella folkdanser och av folkmusiken från Podhale samt en analys av utvalda stiliserade pianokompositioner av Szymanowski.

Syftet med vårt arbete var att studera vilka övningar och arbetsmetoder en amerikansk skola använder för att förbättra elevers muntliga framställning. Den empiriska delen av vår undersökning genomfördes i en amerikansk skola med 20 elever i åldrarna 12-13. Observationerna genomfördes i ämnena performance, council samt speech. Studien var av kvalitativ karaktär och genomfördes med ostrukturerade observationer. Vi kände snabbt stor skillnad mellan de svenska skolor vi besökt tidigare under vår utbildning och den amerikanska skolan beträffande elevernas vilja att tala.

This is a study that was conducted during a three day exercise of the Swedish Armed Forces called ?Amfibieförbandet?, which is shortened as AMF, in Gothenburg. During the exercise three scientists followed the crew on the boats and this is one of the studies that became the result of the observation made during the exercise. The boats that was used during the three days were the boat called ?Stridsbåt 90H? by the Swedish armed forces.

During the year 2014, Artex AB has worked to launch a new product whose function is to locally purify the air. The product is a headboard and its purpose is to give the user clean air while sleeping. The air purifier has different speeds and it`s up to the user to choose which effect that will be on. To get the best experience of the product as possible, the air purifier shall be controlled by a mobile application. Instead of affecting the actual content of news coverage it might only have an effect on the way in which news are presented. Famous politicians more regularly become symbols and synonyms for their parties or for the government and are being used to create interest in the beginning of articles.Those are the results from a content analysis of the newspaper coverage of the Swedish parliamentary election in 1976 and 2006 in which the scientist categorized each article in one of four ideal types, counted quotes and analyzed whether personal names were interchangeable with party names without affecting the content. All three methods showing that it is the presentation, not the content, which has been personalized.At the same time, psychology-science tells us about the human brains associative learning processes, where memorizing becomes far more efficient when the information can be connected to an already known person. Increased personalization of news might therefore increase the political knowledge of the receivers..

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how users at four public libraries experience the alternative shelf arrangement in their library. The purpose of introducing an alternative shelf arrangement in a public library is often to facilitate for its users. In each of our chosen libraries, the librarians have arranged the books in the non-fiction section in broad themes, with the Swedish Library Association Classification System as subsections. Using qualitative interviews, we examined a total of 26 users? experience of the shelf arrangement and its accessibility, their methods for seeking information and their opinion about the presentation of the books.

Aim: The aim of this thesis is to do a research about the users? conceptions to the K-project. The K-project is a simplifying work of today?s accounting regulations performed by the Swedish Accounting Standards Board. The K-project is divided into four categories and the companies are divided into each category depending on its size.

Energimätning och övervakning kan bidra till minskad energiförbrukning genom att hjälpa en användare att ta beslut över energianvändandet. Valet av examensarbete gjordes p.g.a. behovet att ge användarna möjlighet att påverka sin energiförbrukning och övervaka sina elprodukter. Ett koncept togs fram där toppvärden på spänning och ström, effektfaktor, spänning-ens vågform, aktiv, reaktiv och skenbar effekt mättes. Samtliga värden skickades till en server som lagrade informationen och innehöll en hem-sida för presentation.

Detta arbete undersöker huruvida sättet information i spel presenteras på, kan påverka en individs inlärning. Undersökningen fokuserar på två olika teorier inom inlärning, den ena är behaviorismen och den andra är lärandet som en social process eller sociokultur som den också kan kallas. Två versioner av ett spel har skapats där respektive lärandeteori har använts. Undersökningen har därefter gjorts på två urvalsgrupper som fått spela igenom spelen för att sedan svara på kunskapsfrågor. Resultatet från de två urvalsgrupperna var spridda, där den yngre målgruppen gynnades mer av ett behavioristiskt lärande, medan den äldre gruppen gynnades mer av det sociokulturella.

Det här examensarbetet utforskar spel som redskap för stresshantering och avslappning. Jag undersöker vilka stressreducerande moment från verkligheten som skulle kunna passa i ett spel, hur de kan implementeras, och vilken effekt de kan tänkas ha i virtuell form. För att avgöra vilka moment som kunde vara lämpliga gjorde jag en litteraturstudie och en pilotundersökning. I mitt praktiska arbete utforskade jag hur dessa kan implementeras i en virtuell miljö. Jag skrev en spelidé och gjorde en samling skisser som jag skapade en interaktiv presentation av.

Syftet med arbetet är att utforma och genomföra ett test för fördröjd imitation och visuell uppmärksamhet hos barn i åldern fyra till sju år. Testet använde sig av objekt i olika handlingssekvenser. Deltagarna visades dessa och med hjälp av en ögonrörelsekamera kunde områden för visuell uppmärksamhet identifieras. Studien har utförts som ett pilottest till en större studie vid Linköpings universitet. Testet omfattade åtta deltagare och visade att den utformade proceduren fungerar bra, detta för att det tydde på att det skett en imitation, att den visuella uppmärksamheten ligger på relevanta områden och att uppgifterna ej var för svåra.

How well can the yield forecast be with data collected according to the instruction and calculated with the program Aptan for theoretical bucking? The study has been initiated and financed by SCA Skog AB.The material consisted of a number of randomly selected objects ready for clear cut.
