Det finns så många olika kompetenser inom förskolans väggar : En kvalitativ studie om fem förskollärares syn på utvecklingen av förskolans kvalitet

Through a sociocultural perspectivethe purpose of this study is to investigate how Preschool teachers look at quality development in Preschool and how they perceive their participation in this development.I have used a qualitative method based on five interviews with Preschool teachers from three different parts of Sweden. I used an interview guide with open questions. The interview answers were categorized in themes based on the responses which were most frequent. In the result I have been using an analysis based on these themes. The result showed that the Preschool teachers consider that the leadership style affects their work.

Förskollärares föreställningar om aktivt deltagande i leken : Deltagare eller åskådare?

The purpose of this study is to highlight how Preschool teachers reason about their own beliefs about their active participation in the play. The study is a qualitative research method where interviews have been used to talk with four Preschool teachers to obtain their perceptions of their participation in the play. I have approached my questions through previous research and theses which turns to play and Preschool teachers' involvement. The result of my study shows that Preschool teachers see differently on their active participation, but they think that active participation is essential for the development of the play and that by being involved in the play in different ways will create interaction and interactivity. The result also shows that Preschool teachers find great joy in participating in the play, and also that many relationships will be established by participation in the play..

Expectations between parents, teachers and childrenAuthor: Maria Rask GradinMentor: Niclas JärvkloTerm: Spring 2012 AbstractThe aim of this study is to draw attention to the expectations between parents, children and teachers at Preschools and teachers in the Preschool in the school at the transition to Preschool in the school. I also want to know how the mission is defined, and how it is met. Two Preschools and two Preschool in the school are the focus of my investigation. I interviewed teachers and parents, sent surveys to parents, observed children playing school and interviewed children about their thoughts and expectations for the Preschool in the school there.The survey results show that all parties, except perhaps the children who did not express an opinion thereon, wants better cooperation between the Preschool and school.

The purpose of this thesis is to gain insight into educators? views and work with circle time in Preschool. To find out, I have referred to the following questions: How is your circle time performed in Preschool? What objectives have teachers with the circle time? What impact has your circle time for the children in Preschool?I have chosen to carry out qualitative interviews with three Preschool teachers. After the interviews, I compared the educators? response to previous research.The survey shows that the circle time is one of the day´s highlights for Preschool children.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate what Preschool teachers now about children in crisis and and how to manage crisis. It´s also about what children in Preschool understand about death. Literature studies have been made to get a better idea about what to do when you are in the middle of a crisis situation and to find out how children reacts when they are in grief. Four Preschool teachers have been interviewed from two different Preschools and three children at the same Preschool. The interviews show theire knowledge about Preschool children in crisis and how to deal whit the crisis.

This is a study where the purpose was to investigate whether Preschool teachers have a positive or negative attitude to outdoor education. Their view of outdoors education is also treated. The purpose of my study is to examine how four Preschool teachers go about using the term play in children's early mathematical development. In order to fulfill the purpose of this study, I have the following questions:How the Preschool teachers visualize mathematics in children?s play?What reflections have the Preschool teachers about the importance of play for children's mathematical learning in Preschool?How do the Preschool teachers see on their own role in the children's play?In this study, I have conducted a semi-structured qualitative interviews based on the interviews with four Preschool teachers from various departments in a Preschool. Whereas in my analysis of the researched material, I have used Vygotsky's theory.The survey shows that the Preschool teachers are aware of the use of mathematical language and concepts in children?s different activities which were conducted daily in the Preschool.

Barn som far illa : En kvalitativ studie om hur förskollärare resonerar kring sin roll i arbetet med barn som far illa.

The aim of this study is to contribute knowledge about how Preschool teachers reason around their role in the work with children being maltreated. The study has been based on the following questions: How do the Preschool teachers identify children being maltreated ? How do the Preschool teachers act after they have identified a child thats being maltreated? What difficulties experienced Preschool teachers based on their professional roles related to child maltreatment? The method used in the study is a focus group interview, which is a kind of informal group discussion. The result shows that there are difficulties in the Preschool regarding the work with children being maltreated. Some of the difficulties that the Preschool teachers raised was the contact with the guardians, society?s negative perception of the social services, that all the notifications must go through the pre-school manager and that they don?t have so much experience of notifications. .

The aim of this study is through a teacher perspective illustrate and analyze how Preschool teachers apprehend children´s learning in relation to the Preschool yard.The main research questions asked were:How do Preschool teachers apprehend the Preschool yard in reference to it as a place?In what way do Preschool teachers use the Preschool yard in their work with the children?How do Preschool teachers view the Preschool yard and the significance it has on children´s learning?The research is based on data collected through interviews and observations at four different Preschools in the same municipality. The research views place and people as social constructions, a theory of knowledge that is based on the view that the world, places and people are constructed in relation to each other. This perspective as well as previous research is used for analyzing the data collected through a qualitive study based on interviews. The data analyzed show that the Preschool teachers involved in this research apprehend the Preschool yard as a central part in the learning of young children.

IKT i förskolan : Diskursanalys av två styrdokument och sex förskollärares berättelser om arbetet med IKT

The aim of the study is to learn more about the way Preschool teachers work with Information and Communication Technology(ICT). More specifically, this study aims to explore how Preschool teachers describe their experience of ICT, the conditions and opportunities to work with ICT, and their own knowledge and competence in the use of digital tools with Preschool children. The research method consists of interviews with Preschool teachers and observations at five municipal Preschools in Stockholm as well as an analysis of the relevant passages in the Curriculum for the Preschool and the Curriculum of Stockholm city. This study shows that there seems to be great variation in the amount of ICT tools present in Preschools. Preschool teachers expect a lot from ICT, and the improvements that it can make on their work.

AbstractIn this work, I have chosen to write about children in grief. Since children in grief is a large area, I have chosen to focus on how Preschool handles and works with children who has loosed a parent, siblings or a play-mate by death. The aim of this work is to contribute knowledge about how you in Preschool can handle and work with children in grief. To get answers to my questions, I have studied the current literature in the field. I have also interviewed five people with experience and knowledge of work with Preschool-children affected by grief.

Surfplattan : Intentioner och implementering i förskolan

The intention is to focus on the implementation of the tablet in Preschools and how the intentions around the introduction of the tablet take shape in different Preschools. The method is semi structured interviews where the respondents consist of 3 Preschool directors and 6 teachers where the Preschool directors work. This is a relevant subject to illustrate, as the tablet has become a tool in Preschool where it seems to be different opinions about how it should be used. This study aims to understand how the implementation can take form in different Preschools, what kind of similarities and differences we can see with the intentions of the tablet and if there is need of clarification on the workings of the tablets in Preschools. The results show that the intentions around the introduction of the tablet in Preschool look different in the Preschools, and the implementation of this new technology starts in a small scale with help of photographing and videotaping.
