If guidance counselors are to do as good a job as possible, they need to have as much comprehensive information as possible when it comes to possible career paths for their clients. To get on the way to get this information I, in this study, examined how musicians - specifically flute players career paths could seem. I examen this by doing five interviewees. This study is for guidance counselors, so they hade a more solid foundation to stand on, but also for aspiring musicians to get new perspectives to consider when faced with career choices.The study is conducted through five interviews with professionals flutists; Agneta, Harry, Jenny, Eva and Pepita who all work or have recently worked as professional musicians or teachers. With professional musician, I mean the ones in one way or another is or has been employed musicians and also is in the same or higher level in terms of their music ability than those who are employed.

When harvesting ley you hope to get a fast drying and a faster harvest. If there is a system with round bales, you need to have a dry matter close to 45 %. I denna rapport presenteras ett sätt att detektera handskrivna ordobjekt i inskannade dokument. Rapporten belyser också några av de problem som förekommer vid detektion av handskrivna ordobjekt. Detektionen görs med hjälp av en indelning av bilden i rektangulära regioner. Därefter används enmaskininlärningsalgoritm för att klassificera regionerna som antingen handskriven text eller övrigt.För att klassificera en region behövs mätvärden för en region, såsom area, som en algoritm kan använda. De flesta som testas och används i denna rapport har använts tidigare för att detektera handskriven text.

Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is considered a specific and a sensitive biomarker of cardiac disease, and due to a high inter-species sequence homology; human cTnI assays can often be used in veterinary medicine. The main aim of this study was to perform an initial evaluation of a human cTnI test, the Meritas Troponin I test, for measurement of equine plasma cTnI, in order to investigate whether the test could be a possible subject for a more comprehensive validation. The hypothesis was that the test could measure equine cTnI, as there is a good homology between equine cTnI and human cTnI. The evaluation included a dilution parallelism, an intra-assay precision study and measurement of plasma cTnI healthy horses. In the dilution parallelism and the intra-assay precision study, equine plasma with previously established high cTnI concentration, according to another cTnI assay, was used. In addition, cTnI concentration was measured in plasma, collected from 19 horses, without signs of disease at physical and ECG examinations. The obtained curve in the dilution parallelism was linear, indicating that the Meritas Troponin I test can be used to measure different concentrations of equine cTnI in plasma.

Transportkostnaderna ökar mer än övriga kostnader i skogsbruket och det är angeläget att sänka dem. För att kunna optimera transporterna krävs god kännedom om virkesvolymerna på respektive avlägg. SDC:s (Skogsbrukets DataCentral) rutin för beräkning av väglagrets virkesvolymsaldo har varit att subtrahera av VMF (VirkesMätnings Föreningen) inmätt volym från skotarrapporterad volym. Men eventuella fel kan ackumuleras p.g.a. utebliven eller felaktig skotarrapportering, sortimentsförskjutning eller försenad inmätning.

The past and ongoing structural change in Swedish agriculture has led to an increasing number of large-scale farms. The biological factors associated with large-scale farming operations may cause increasing variability, risk and reduced yields due to sub-optimal timing and management of field operations. The theory of economies of scale suggests that largescale production may benefit from lower costs due to scale efficiencies. Thus, large-scale farms may face cost reductions in terms of long term inputs factors, e.g. agricultural machinery.

Studie-och yrkesvägledning är något som enligt skollagen alla elever utom förskolebarnska erbjudas för att kunna göra väl underbyggda framtidsval. Skolans vägledningska även vara frivillig, vilket innebär att det ofta är elevernas eget ansvaratt söka upp vägledaren för att få prata om sina tankar och funderingar.Grundskolan är en plats där eleverna utökar sin kunskap, men även utvecklar sinidentitet samtidigt som de utsätts för stereotyper och könsmässiga fördomar. Dennaundersökning har fokuserat på pojkarna i grundskolan. Fyra kvinnliga och fyramanliga studie- och yrkesvägledare inom grundskolan har intervjuats för attsöka svar på deras upplevelser av vägledning av pojkar inom grundskolan. Resultatetvisar ambivalenta svar då den generella upplevelsen är att pojkar och flickorsjälvmant uppsöker vägledning i samma utstäckning, för att sedan visa attpojkar är överrepresenterade i att inte komma till de bokade samtalen och attflera vägledare känner sig tvingade att hämta in främst pojkar till samtal.

This paper is finishing part of the two-year master programme in Industrial Engineering and Management.Initially there was an inquiry of studying the queue-times that Fläkt Woods uses when they break down internal working orders. These times were assumed to be too generalised and does not apply to the actual value of the queue-times which generates incorrect data and delivery delays. During the work of this paper it has been established that it is not the queue-times that is the biggest problem. The problem is the shop floor control and the lack of manufacturing the right products at the right time. Therefore an analysis of the production planning process was made to bring forward the real problems.

För att en målsökande robot skall träffa sitt mål behövs det som på engelska kallas guidance. På svenska brukar det kallas styrlagar. Styrlagarna är referenssignaler till styrautomaten i form av accelerationskrav i girled och tippled. I detta examensarbete har fyra olika styrlagar härletts teoretiskt och implementerats i en simuleringsmodell bestående av robot och mål i en omgivning. Rapportens huvudsyfte är att utreda vilken styrlag som passar bäst till en höghastighetsrobot.

The aim of this study was to describe how elderly?s sexuality can be expressed and to describe factors that affect older people's sexuality. The aim was also to describe the opportunities and barriers to health care providers to promote older people's sexuality and to describe the articles quality based on the methodological aspect of selection. A literature review with a descriptive approach was conducted on four qualitative and ten quantitative articles. The included articles were published between 2003 and 2013.

Företags vilja att hållbarhetsredovisa har ökat markant under 2010-talet. I och med den ökade tillämpningen av hållbarhetsredovisning skapas även behov av ett ramverk. Det ramverk som idag är det mest framträdande inom hållbarhetsredovisning har skapats av organisationen Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). GRIs mål är att frivillig hållbarhetsredovisning ska vara lika tillförlitlig och jämförbar som finansiella rapporter.Hållbarhetsbegreppet kan delas in i tre områden vilka är social, ekonomisk och miljömässig. Resultat från tidigare forskning visar att det råder stora brister inom hållbarhetsredovisning eftersom redovisningen är frivillig och det därmed inte föreligger några lagstadgade krav.

This Master Thesis has been conducted as an assignment of the Swedish Defence MaterialAdministration and the Swedish Armed Forces and aims to examine the Target Location Error(TLE) of a Forward Observer System. The targeting accuracy of the system is vital if the systemis to be used as a sensor for precision munitions. The analyzed system, EOI (FOI 2000), wasdelivered to the Swedish Armed Forces in 2007. The targeting sequence starts with deciding theposition of the system with a GPS-receiver, continues with methods where the north direction issettled and ends by measuring the distance, direction and elevation to the target. When allparameters have been measured the system calculates the position of the target.

För individer med parodontal sjukdom är egenvården betydelsefull för en bättre prognos. Förebyggande åtgärder kan behöva ses i ett större sammanhang om det ska vara möjligt att främja tandhälsa eller förhindra fortsatt tandsjukdom. En insikt i patientens upplevelser och syn på sin förbättrade egenvård kan vara värdefull för att bättre förstå vad som behöver hända för att det ska ske en förflyttning mot en bättre hälsa. Syftet var att beskriva innebörden av ett upplevt förbättrat munhälso¬relaterat beteende sett utifrån ett patientperspektiv. Studiepopulation & metod: Deskriptiv fenomenologisk metod (Giorgi) valdes för insamling och analys av data.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate 7 different search strategies for content-based image retrieval with respect to retrieval effectiveness. The strategies are based on different levels of resolution implemented by the Haar transformation. The result of the study shows an improvement in both mean average precision and mean recall in strategies based on lower levels of resolution..

Denna uppsats analyserar och prövar den ledningsteori som är framlagd av Martin vanCreveld i boken ?Ledning i krig?. Prövningen tar sin utgångspunkt i Poppers metod omteoriprövning. Van Crevelds slutsatser testas först internt och sen överses teoribilningenslogiska form. Slutligen jämförs slutsatserna med andra teorier om ledning ochorganisation.
