In the year of 2011, the new CEO of AB Volvo announced a major reorganization. This reorganization was a contributing factor to the start-up of this thesis.Volvo Group Logistics Services (VGLS) is Volvo Group?s global logistics partner, which designs, manages and optimizes all of the group's incoming and outgoing logistics flows. With the reorganization, VGLS started a project regarding responsibilities around railway flows. Within the project a demand to collect logistics requirements occurred.

I den allmänna debatten om revisorer diskuteras bl.a. revisorns oberoende och hur det kan påverkas av revisorns roller som rådgivare till och granskare av ett företag. Vi ville undersöka inom vilka områden revisorn bidrar med rådgivning och få en uppfattning om hur detta eventuellt kunde påverka oberoendet mellan revisorn och ett nystartat företag. Vi valde att undersöka nystartade företag då vi inte funnit några tidigare studier på just den här kombinationen, revisor/nystartat företag.I vårt syfte att undersöka revisorns roll i nystartade företag har vi tagit reda på de vanligaste problemområdena, som nystartade företag upplever, och i vilken mån revisorerna hjälpt till som rådgivare. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer där respondenterna bestod av tre revisorer och ägarna till tre nystartade företag.

Masteruppsats är ett resultat av det utvecklingsprojekt jag bedrev under 2009-2014 inom ramen för förarutbildningen som bedrivs på gymnasieskolans och vuxenutbildningens inriktning Transport. Arbetet ska ses i ljuset av den magisteruppsats jag skrev 2013, Förarutbildning och kunskapsbildning ? en studie om förarutbildningssystemet.Utvecklingsprojektets syfte var att undersöka om det var möjligt att nå djupare och mer varaktig kunskap, främst när det gäller de "mjukare" målen inom förarutbildningen: riskmedvetenhet, uppmärksamhet, nyfikenhet, erfarenhet och ödmjukhet. Alltså de kunskapsfält som inryms inom körkortsmålen tre och fyra: resande med bil i speciella sammanhang och personliga förutsättningar och målsättningar i livet.Uppsatsen beskriver mina tankar, försök och trevanden för att skapa djupare och mer varaktig kunskap hos eleverna än vad jag upplevde att den traditionella förarutbildningen gav. Utvecklingsprojektets exempel visar att det är möjligt och att framgången ligger i ett stort fokus på de "mjukare" kunskaperna - de generella kompetenserna - som ödmjukhet, reflektion, nyfikenhet, självverksamhet, m.fl.

The aim of our study is to examine stepparents´experiences of their role in the new family, we also want to examine if the role as stepparent is affected to the role as a biological parent. Our study is based on six semi-structured interviews, with three stepmothers and three stepfathers.By using role theory and symbolic interactionism our results indicate the requirement of constant negotiation as well as acknowledging the need to consider the other familymembers, those you may not have chosen to live with.We can see that the division of responsibility is governed by what is best for the family - to make life as easy as possible. It is clear that many stepparent lack guidance in what is expected of them in their new role; howeverr, they have been able to grow into it.  .

Denna uppsats analyserar och prövar den ledningsteori som är framlagd av Martin vanCreveld i boken ?Ledning i krig?. Prövningen tar sin utgångspunkt i Poppers metod omteoriprövning. Van Crevelds slutsatser testas först internt och sen överses teoribilningenslogiska form. Slutligen jämförs slutsatserna med andra teorier om ledning ochorganisation.

Introduction: Pregnancy, obesity, aging and certain diseases are examples of conditions thataffect the body, its constitution and composition. Simpler methods to estimate bodycomposition are needed to complement more advanced traditional methods to better identifythe health status without sacrificing accuracy and precision.Objective: To validate the results of body composition from bioelectrical impedancespectroscopy (BIS) against results from the study reference method, dual energy X-rayabsorption (DXA), in overweight and obese lactating women after childbirth.Method: The design of the LEVA-study (Lifestyle for Effective Weight loss during lactation)consisted both intervention and longitudinal follow-up, which gave the opportunity tovalidate the absolute values (accuracy) and the ability to detect changes (precision). Themean difference between methods was tested statistically by paired t-test. Bland-Altman plotsused to examine the degree of agreement between BIS and DXA, but also distribution andany systematic differences. Association between methods was measured by using Pearson´scorrelation coefficient.Results: Between BIS and DXA, absolute measurements of the variables fat-free mass (FFM)and fat mass (FM) showed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001).

Timing innebär att bedöma tid och reglera sitt beteende tidsmässigt. Precision i timing påverkas bland annat av sensorisk feedback, men det är inte känt om starkare feedback ökar precisionen. Femton män och fem kvinnor genomförde en synkroniserings- och produktions-uppgift där feedbackljuden under produktionen förekom i fem ljudstyrkenivåer (65-105 dB i 10 dB steg) och två frekvenser (120 & 4200 Hz). Jag fann en signifikant interaktionseffekt mellan ljudnivå och frekvens. Även signifikanta skillnader i hur man skattade ljuden och skillnader i hur män och kvinnor skattade påträffades.

Android-applikationers användargränssnitt kan se annorlunda ut på olika Android-enheteroch det är svårt att anpassa en applikation efter alla enheter då det finns så många unikamodeller. Målet med arbetet var att framställa ett verktyg som kunde med hjälp av ett korrektdefinierat gränssnitt, upptäcka skillnader i gränssnittet mellan olika Android-enheter.Ett egenutvecklat verktyg framställdes och hade en hög precision. Verktyget kunde bådaupptäcka skillnader och rapportera hur stor skillnaden var mellan gränssnitten..

Mitt underliggande syfte är att studera om handledning kan vara en möjlighet för kompetensutveckling och personlig utveckling vilket kan bidra till utveckling för verksamheten. Arbetet utgår från ett hermeneutiskt vetenskapligt förhållningssätt. Jag har använt mig av kvalitativ forskningsmetod och gjort tio ostrukturerade intervjuer med lärare i skolan.

Swedish sawmills of today suffer from unsatisfying economy with high costs and low benefits. The economical result depends on how well the sawmill can use their raw material. Iggesund Timber AB, a sawmill in the Holmen group, produces a large amount is enduse orientated products for the woodworking industry. Therefore the aim of this student thesis was to investigate the possibility of automatic enduse orientated quality grading of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) saw logs by using a gamma-ray log scanner. Iggesund Timber AB has the possibility to grade logs automatically with TINA, a two way gamma-ray log scanner. Grading and classification of Scots Pine logs in Sweden today are mainly manual but can in some rare cases be automatic.

This thesis focuses on employers? use of non-­?solicitation of employees in commercial contracts within the union?s internal market and how this can result in restrictive practices in violation of European law. Using legal method, legal economic considerations, and guidance from modern American legal development in antitrust law, this thesis is aiming to investigate how this kind of anticompetitive cooperation in the European labor market should be assessed. The result seems to be that despite a distinct and pronounced restrictive approach to the application of EU competition rules in the labor market, there are strong incentives and not any legal impediment to apply Article 101 TFEU on no cold call agreements between employers. .

Problem discussion: Syncron experience a challenge in realizing the full market potential of its newly developed IT-based price management system, Global Price Management (GPM). The system has already been implemented and is currently running with success within the IT-structures of the first customer. The fact that the development of the system has been initiated by a customer, and thereby has left Syncron oblivious of the real underlying drivers and incentives for the development, is part of the problem.
