THE THIN RED LINE ? Identity in theory and method With this essay I want to explore some possibilities with the term identity within archaeology. Identity is a term best understood in the light of different scientific approaches. For instance the anthropological and historical angel combined with the quality of archaeology, as is the case in this essay. By combining these approaches, I create a (clarification) method of exploring traces of identity.By analysing two different graves from Scania, having a negligible number of artefacts from the Viking Age, and three graves from Bornholm, known for its large number of finds from this period, I test the ability of my method.

This report is about planning a demolition. The purpose of this report is that it should become a base for a demolition of house J at the Academic hospital in Uppsala, and also to make general help for planning a demolition. This report also contains a part about how a change in the work environment affects general people. The work started with studies of literature and design of the general part of the report and then continued with a practical study of house J. From the experience of the first two parts of the report a general help for planning a demolition was shaped.

The students participating in my development work will work with a process book for handicraft studies. In the beginning of their studies, the students need practical knowledge about the development of the profession itself, but they also need to be challenged and learn how to solve problems on their own which will help them gain a deeper knowledge of the subject.    I focus on open questions to create a process with the students. This process is created when working with Solution-Focused-Education. Through ?assessment for learning? we can help the students to improve their self-assessment and understanding of the learning process.

The purpose of this study was to explore students' and teachers' experiences of the new pedagogical teaching tool, interactive whiteboard, which have gained increased popularity and wide spread usage in the classrooms. An observation during a mathematical lecture was conducted as a pilot study prior to the main research method of phenomenology; based on students? self-descriptions and interviews with two teachers, this methodological approach was used to investigate the subject matter. The interpretation, comparison and analysis of the results surrounding this new teaching method is explained by two theories, constructivism and socio-cultural perspective. The information shared by the students and teachers have been broken down into four categories: enjoyment & interest, practical, insight and no different.

Denna studie undersöker hur Småland fotbollsdistriktsförbund arbetar och organiserar talangverksamheten för pojkar i Småland, samt att söka klarhet i hur fotbollsinstruktörers tidigare erfarenheter och definitioner av vad som är en bra eller mindre bra fotbollsspelare påverkar deras syn på talangidentifikation och talangutveckling. Sex semi-strukturerade intervjuer har gjorts med personer på alla de nivåer som finns i förbundet. Resultatet visar att talangprocessen fungerar som en pyramidmodell där chanserna att bli involverad i denna har ökat i och med de förändringar som gjorts under tid. Sett till hur de ser på begreppet talangidentifikation visar studiens resultat på att det handlar om hur respondenterna ser på sin omgivning, vad de anser vara bra sett utifrån deras tankar om vad som krävs för att bli en elitfotbollsspelare. Vad gäller deras syn på talangutveckling visar resultaten på att det handlar om att stötta spelarna samt hjälpa dem hitta de bästa miljöerna att utvecklas i. Enligt respondenterna är styrkan med förbundet att man har en samsyn vid olika urvalssituationer.

The Baltic Sea is one of the world?s most polluted seas. Increased discharge of nutrients due to greater populations of people, together with a slow water exchange, creates great stress on the sea. Too much nutrients leads to increased growth of algae and causes problem in the ecosystem. Even if we reduce nutrient discharge the problem still exist in the ocean. When algae dies and sinks, more nutritional substances is produced called "internal eutrophication". This phenomenon will grow in the future due to a warmer climate and the problem is spreading towards the coastal zone, which is an important site for fish recreation. By removing the abundance of algae, the nutritional and toxic substances are reduced and the algae biomass can be a future resource for biofuel production..

The aim of this study was to illuminate how social workers in social services work with the social phenomenon, homelessness in two municipalities. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with interviewees from a department of social services. Our theories that we used was resistant inequality, structural discrimination, exclusion, empowerment and representation. After compilation of our empirical our conclusions are that homelessness is a complex phenomenon. Social workers handles homelessness based on client?s needs and the work is individualized.

Uppsatsen behandlar ämnet unga högpresterande flickor som mår psykiskt dåligt. Syftet med undersökningen var att ta reda på hur skolan kan upplevas för någon som är drabbad av detta samt att få konkreta exempel på hur arbetet kan se ut på en gymnasieskola gällande detta problem.Metoden som användes var kvalitativa intervjuer och litteraturstudie. Fem intervjuer och litteratur som behandlar ämnen som självmord, depression, ångest samt ätstörningar har varit grundläggande för undersökningen. Den viktigaste slutsatsen är att det krävs ett annorlunda angreppssätt från skolans håll om vi vill förändra utsikterna för högpresterande flickor med psykiska problem. Det krävs bl.a.

Fördjupningsarbetet beskriver de olika krav som ställs på hundarna, hur de lämplighetstestas och vad de bör ha för egenskaper för att vara lämpliga. It is a well known archaeological concern that the remains of human bones left from the bronze age and early iron age Scandinavia are not nearly enough to represent the estimated population of the time. Furthermore the bones of each find rarely represent a whole individual. The majority of the bones must have been disposed of somewhere else, possibly scattered in running waters or in the fields, where they have evaporated or are securely hidden from archaeological excavations.This thesis deals with the grave concept and the problem in using a word that is so very clouded by its modern, western meaning. It also offers an alternative explanation to why the bones are handled the way they are and why they are found in such awkward contexts..

Den teknologiska utvecklingen har bidragit till en ökad globalisering av dagens samhälle. För många företag har detta inneburit att verksamheten fått en alltmer internationell karaktär. Internationaliseringen kräver nya kontakter och företagen ställs inför nya utmaningar då de möter människor med olika kulturell bakgrund.Med denna bakgrund väcktes intresset för vårt problem om att undersöka hur företag i business-to-business-kontext (B2B) identifierar och hanterar problem av kulturell karaktär vid utländska affärsförbindelser. En kvalitativ undersökning av tre svenska företag inom B2B-kontext genomfördes. Företagen som deltog var Pronova AB, Axelent samt Albany International, där respondenten på respektive företag har en framträdande roll vid internationella samarbeten.

This thesis work involves a quantitative study concerning secondary school students' understanding of older Swedish words in the lyrics in the Lucia song written by Elmfors way back in 1919th. The text has some old words and phrases that today's high school students do not really understand. The study includes surveys of two different classes in high school, a theoretical and a practical program. In some cases students can understand words by the context, but previous research shows results in general weakness in students' existing vocabulary. According to previous research, this is due, inter alia, that young people read and write less today.The results of all students are totally 38%, where the theoretical program has a slightly higher performance.

RFID-tekniken har under de senaste åren uppmärksammats allt flitigare av företag som tror sig ha användning för det i sin verksamhet. En kategori av företag som skulle kunna ha stor nytta av tekniken är tillverkande industri, bland annat i sin materialhantering. En undersökning visar att många sådana företag vet att tekniken finns men att graden av kunskap om teknikens möjligheter och brister är starkt varierande.Detta arbete har studerat vilka brister och problem som uppmärksammats av de företag inom denna kategori som redan idag använder tekniken. Arbetet har bestått av intervjuer av ett antal sådana företag och även av leverantörer av RFID-utrustning.De företag som ingår i undersökningen inte upplevt några av de problem som arbetet behandlar men leverantörernas erfarenheter visar att problem finns och att det kräver stor yrkeskunskap och erfarenhet för att komma runt dem..

Syftet med denna undersökning var att förstå och beskriva sjökaptensstudenters upplevelser av handledning vid utförandet av uppgifter som krävs för att uppnå lärandemålen under delkursen Fartygsförlagd utbildning 1 (1FF01K). Halvstrukturerade personliga intervjuer genomfördes med åtta förstaårsstudenter mellan den 25:e mars och den 5:e april 2013. Dessa spelades in och transkriberades för att sedan tolkas och struktureras i olika kategorier beroende av upplevelser. Strategiskt urval användes för att välja ut informanterna vilka intervjuades med hjälp av ?critical incident technique?.
