This project report describes a supplement for character creation in a tabletop role-playing game ?Dragons and Demons." The purpose of this project is to improve the character creation for the players? trough the narrative elements such as character?s background story. The applied qualitative methods such as a test panel and a questionnaire were conducted for the evaluation of theories used during character creation and to get feedback on the supplement?s creative value for the players. The aim of the questionnaire was to see how the method for the character creation differs from the regular way of making a character for a tabletop role-playing game and if this idea improves user experience during the tabletop role-playing game.The results of the evaluation are based on answers from novice and experienced players, and conclude that the additional background story creates an insight into the character's past, which makes it easier for novice players to get quick started with character creation.

This study investigates how tagging is being used in a new way when members of a Swedish dating site get to tag themselves in an act of self-presentation with the aim of meeting new people. In the study seven members of the dating site Mazily were interviewed about their self-presentation, tagging and identity formation there. The questions concerned how they formed their own tags, but also how they interpret and use other members' tags in their search for a Potential partner.I have been using queer theories for this study, in order to find out what kind of norms and structures that lie behind and affect the members' behaviour on the website. My study finds that the interviewed members to a high degree reflect about both their own and other members tagging and self-presentations. Although they spend quite some time trying to analyse other people on the website they have a great sense of understanding that a person may give two very different impressions on the site and offline.

This thesis is studying Stråk* in an urban contexts. Thiswill be achieved through a study of Rosengårdsstråket inMalmö based on the question "What is a Stråk?".Malmö has experienced a major change in the last 15years. From being an industrial city with economic problems,Malmö is now part of the dynamic Öresund Region,and a knowledge city with great optimism. New parts ofthe city is about to grow up that reinforces the image ofMalmö's new identity.The next step in Malmö's development is to make thecity even denser and interconnect the inner city and thesuburbs to create a more sustainable city.

Logistics and supply chain management in the construction sector is an area with great Potential for improvements. Today, a lot of the workers time is spent on non-value adding activities. Research has shown that waste is a large proportion of the total production cost in building projects today.The purpose of this report is to analyze problems concerning logistics in the construction sector. Two of Skanska?s construction projects in Uppsala have been analyzed to identify problems.

Kan Malmös Centrumkanaler med dess egenskaper som en unik, långsmal och sammanhängande struktur användas för att möjliggöra nya rörelsemönster och mötesplatser i staden? Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att undersöka hur vi genom landskapsarkitektur kan utnyttja kanalens egenskaper för att skapa nya sätt för människor att röra sig i Malmö och skapa nya mötesplatser för vistelse. Platsen för vårt examensarbete är de centrala delarna av Malmö, en av de snabbast växande städerna i Europa.1-2 När Malmö förtätas blir de öppna ytor som inte kan bebyggas än mer värdefulla för stadens invånare, Centrumkanalerna är en sådan yta. Kanalerna är en stor sammanhängande offentlig yta i centrum som har förutsättningar att spela en viktig roll för att tillgodose Malmöiternas behov av offentliga rekreationsytor. Längs Centrumkanalernas sträckning föreslår vi Malmös innersta ringväg, en ny lösning för cykeltrafiken i centrum och ett nytt obrutet stråk för fotgängare. Syftet med Innersta ringvägen är att skapa ett nytt sätt för cyklister och fotgängare att röra sig och mötas i centrala Malmö.

The history of environmental reporting began in the early 1990?s when some companies included the environmental issue in their annual report. The increased interest of ethical and sustainable investments and demands from different stakeholders conjure a change of the report design. To develop the environmental reports and create design guidance for sustainability reports an organisation called Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) was born. The GRI is environmental reporting taken to another level, a level that is according to sustainable development.

The study set out to find how artists organize and use their personal collections from a Personal Information Management (PIM) perspective, and how that use affects their practice and their art production. A secondary object of the study was to articulate the ways that personal collections are utilized as tools by creative users.  The empirical data consisted of five qualitative, semi-structured interviews with Swedish and Norwegian sound artists. The constant comparative method was used for analysis, and Activity Theory was used as a theore- tical framework for the study. The study concluded that artists? personal collections, while diverse in content and structure, serve the same functions as tools in creative processes, and that attention to the uses of personal collections highlight needs that could be better met by integrated PIM-functionality.

This Master s thesis deals with the display of library media, whether it is conceivable and desirable to draw inspiration from the retail business when displaying articles. The questions asked are: are there, in the retail sector, well established display ideas and - if so - what do they look like? Are the similarities in conditions, between the branches, sufficient? In conveying the ideas to libraries, are the Potential differences not obstructive? Is there, among librarians, a positive attitude towards further development of library display techniques? The results were achieved by interviewing shop window dressers and librarians. In addition, a survey was sent to the library managers of 65 public libraries in southern Sweden. The results show that there are established ideas and methods of displaying materials, and that the ideas are manifested in frequently used techniques.

Internationalisering genom mellanhänder är ett vanligt sätt för små och medelstora företag att expandera sin verksamhet till nya marknader. Orsaken är att expansion görs möjlig till nya marknader genom bryggning av distanser samt den relativt låga finansiella risken som internationalisering genom mellanhänder innebär. Resurser att expandera organiskt är något som små och medelstora företag ofta inte har. Det saknas forskning som förklarar hur framgångsrika mellanhandssamarbeten uppnås och många företag misslyckas eller når inte full Potential. Vårt syfte med studien är att skapa förståelse för de faktorer som påverkar ett framgångsrikt samarbete med utländska mellanhänder.

This quantitative study explores how employee perceived efficiency within customer service is affected by standardized routines, digital tools, and motivational factors. The study is based on survey data collected from 42 employees across five customer service departments in a larger organization. The theoretical foundation integrates Weber?s bureaucracy theory, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and the Job Characteristics Model (JCM), allowing for a multidimensional analysis to capture the employees' experiences of efficiency. Findings reveal a statistically significant positive relationship between perceived efficiency and both standardized routines and perceived digital tool usefulness and ease of use. Furthermore, the study identifies that skill variety and task significance are positively correlated with experienced meaningfulness, which indicates a Potential mediating relationship between these motivational aspects and perceived efficiency.

Projektet har handlat om hur man skapar produkter som uppmanar till långvarig användning, med syftet att påverka människors konsumtionsvanor samt förhållningssätt till sina produkter. Genom litteraturstudier och en enkätundersökning fanns att produkter med affektionsvärde var det som användaren värderade högst, det var också detta värde som var svårast för en designer att påverka. Olika principer för hur affektionsvärde kan uppstå mellan en användare och dess produkt lokaliserades, dessa låg sedan till grund för den kreativa processen. Där försökte olika av dessa principer gestaltas i produkter. Resultatet blev möbelkollektionen Wither&Blossom bestående av ett matbord och en pall.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the proposed leasing standard's Potential effects on stakeholders' financial key ratios and estimated bankruptcy risk via prediction models based on accounting ratios. This is achieved by adjusting the financial statements in accordance with the three most widely used ways of dealing with operating leases at date; capitalizing using a multiple, capitalizing through a present value method and to not adjust for them at all. Since the discounted method is said to reflect the proposed standard the closest, this version will be compared against the two other versions. The research is based on Nordic retail companies due to their high share of leases. The study shows that the unadjusted key ratios and estimated bankruptcy risks tend to be too low and would therefore deteriorate in combination with the new standard, when again the multiple method results in too weak key ratios and high estimated bankruptcy risk and would therefore tend to improve in combination with the new standard.

EDI är en förkortning av Electronic Data Interchange och kan översättas till elektronisk datautväxling på svenska. Målet med EDI är att förbättra de flöden av information som behövs för att effektivt styra hela leveranskedjan från producent till kund och därigenom förenkla handeln mellan företag. Eftersom EDI kostar en hel del är det vanligt att småföretagare känner motstånd mot att införa EDI. Ofta blir de ändå mer eller mindre tvingade till att acceptera lösningen för att fortsätta göra affärer med sina större handelspartners. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utröna hur viktiga företagens inneboende möjligheter eller resurser är för att användningen av EDI ska bli framgångsrik.

This report is an inventory of the street lighting in half of the residential estates owned by Karlstad Bostads AB, a public housing company. The inventory was made to reduce the environmental impact of the street lighting. From the inventory an estimation of the total installed power and the energy consumption was made. The total estimated power of the street lighting was 125 kW and the energy consumption was 500 000 kWh/year with an estimated running time of 4 000 h/year. The dominating source of light was 125 W discharge mercury lamps.

Syftet med den här studien är att empiriskt undersöka hur ett relaterat diversifierat företag kan ta tillvara de möjligheter till synergieffekter, som flera olika produktgrupper ger. Vi har undersökt detta genom en kvalitativ fallstudie på Procordia Food. Där undersökte vi tillvaratagandet av synergier som genereras av osynliga resurser - kunskapsöverföring. Utifrån en analys av Procordia Foods organisation, i förhållande till den referensram vi har valt att använda oss av, formulerade vi följande hypoteser: Hypotes 1 - Den begränsade medvetenheten om synergiers innebörd hos relaterat diversifierade företag förhindrar att en Potential för effektivisering utnyttjas. Hypotes 2 - Relaterat diversifierade företag går miste om potentiella fördelar då de inte utformar organisationsstrukturen efter synergigenererande faktorer.
