The focus of this essay is set on a number of processes that affect the challenges of the tourist trade, to be more precise ? an analysis of the attitudes towards tourism and sustainability within this line of business ? from an ethical and moral as well as social view. These issues are examined with reference to the concept of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Thus, acquaintance with theories of social constructivism, post colonialism, globalisation and global civil society is essential in order to understand the analysed material. The essay is mainly based on the outcome of qualitative interviews with various kinds of persons working with CSR related questions.

Hur kan då domstolen påverka den institutionella balansen? Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att belysa hur domstolen kan påverka den institutionella balansen och identifiera och diskutera eventuella problemområden relaterat till detta, samt se om det går att förklara domstolens handlande med hjälp av mina valda teorier.Den institutionella balansen, tanken om att en institution inte ska inkräkta på en annans av fördragen tilldelade maktområde, ska övervakas av EG-domstolen. I och med att domstolen samtidigt har tolkningsrätt i förhållande till fördragen innebär detta att den samtidigt kan övervaka och förändra balansen i de situationer där den finner den vara ojämn eller på annat sätt felaktig. Genom att titta på fem domar mellan 1980 och 1997 har jag fastställt några av de förändringar domstolen har gjort i förhållandet mellan institutionerna. Med hjälp av en kombination av neofunktionalism och integration through law-teori har jag sedan kunnat beskriva hur domstolen har kunnat agera så aktivistiskt som den i vissa fall har gjort, samt identifiera några problemområden som kan uppstå i sammanhanget..

This thesis focuses on the problems involving immigrants and their voting behaviour in Sweden. We presuppose that immigrants vote in a far less extent than Swedish citizen according to general statistics. We try to explain and give solutions to this problem. To our help we use both integration theory focusing on multiculturalism and electoral participation theories.Starting off in these two theories, we have further analyzed a number of policies issued to solve the participation dilemma. The policies were issued in order to elevate the socio-economic standards, inform citizens and close the distance between voters and politicians.Our results show that what work best is long term ventures aiming at integrating immigrants to the Swedish society.

This essay illustrates the rules and procedures when it comes to inclusive labor markets. In Sweden we have a labor market program called entry-level jobs, which makes it easier for immigrants to get work since our public employment agency pay remuneration to the employers.In this essay I am answering the following questions:How does the work of our public employment agency and trade union looks like before, during and after an employee has gotten a subsidized employment called entry-level job, and in which way can this work be improved if necessary?How extensive do entry-level jobs contribute to increased integration and establishment on the labor market for newly arrived immigrants?How does the Swedish measure on entry-level jobs approach within the scope of European regulations about measures for inclusive labor market?To find answers to my questions I have used social science methodology and juridical method. I have performed document studies and interviews with concerned parts.The conclusion of above subordinated questions is that we need to extend the Swedish laws covering entry-level jobs so that the concerned parts know which assignments they will be responsible for when problems emerge on a workplace.When it comes to if entry-level jobs contribute to increase integration and establishment on the labor market it seems to be more important to integrate the immigrants quickly, and with which quality it is made does not seems to matter. The public employment agency has to emphasize the importance of Swedish language so that the employees can be independent from authorities in the future.

The honour norm is strong within the Middle East but is scattered all over the world. As a result of immigration, the honorary context has become more established in Sweden. Violence, committed in the name of honour, is commonly executed by male family members. Thus, young men are forced, in some degree, to participate in the oppression and control of their sisters. Violence exercised in the name of honour, can be traced back to the patriarchal family system in which woman are subordinate to men.

SAMMANFATTNING Syftet med min uppsats är att fördjupa förståelsen för hur fyra bosniska invandrare upplever integration i det svenska samhället. I uppsatsen läggs fokus på de fem integrationsdimensionerna, arbetsmarknadsintegration, social integration, medborgerlig integration, boendeintegration samt subjektiv integration då jag betraktar dessa som grundläggande för den enskildes fullständiga integration. Min b-uppsats i sociologi behandlade samma ämne som föreliggande undersökningen. Men koncentrationen låg då på de fyra bosniska invandrarnas integration på arbetsmarknaden. The world is changing and the business context is no exception. One of the clearest tendencies is a tougher business climate with harder competition due to increased international trade and the expansion of the e-business. At the same time the customers are becoming more sophisticated and demanding. The last decades have also meant that tougher and more frequent demands are being aimed at the businesses from a wider variety of stakeholders; demands regarding how environmental issues, social responsibilities and business ethics should be dealt with. All of the above have driven companies towards implementation of different management systems to be able to cope with the demands as well as to ensure that these issues are being dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.

Klausulernas syfte är att säkerställa att det skriftliga avtalet utgör parternas fullständiga överenskommelse samt reglera hur tillägg och förändringar av avtalet ska ske. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka en svensk investerares möjligheter till internationell diversifiering. I vår undersökning vill vi undersöka om möjligheten förändrats de senaste decennierna och om det med effektiva investeringsstrategier går att lyckas bättre än med en inhemsk placeringsstrategi. Metoden vi använt för att utreda om möjligheterna till diversifiering har förändrats är genom att undersöka om korrelationen mellan våra 20 utvalda I-länder förändrats mellan perioden 1993-1998 och 1999-2006. För att undersöka magnituden av nyttan med internationell diversifiering har vi valt att på ex ante basis skapa ett flertal effektiva portföljer bestående av tillgångar från våra länder och sedan investerat efter dessa vikter på ex post basis. De strategier vi valt är minsta variansportföljer och tangentportföljer.

Of all observable societal trends, the proliferation of standardizing processes is striking. Auditing standards are an illustrative example of this. Not only privately owned companies must today make available numbers and key figures to satisfy needs of information and knowledge. Government agencies are increasingly conforming to this trend, adopting standards for quality assurance and monitoring, producing numbers and annual reports ? despite their somewhat ambiguous task and role.

AbstractThe aim of this study is to investigate the implementation process and the implementation steering of the social development aspects, gender equality and integration, in the program for regional development of the region Kronoberg in the period of 2004-2007.The study asks three questions: 1) How have the social development aspects, gender equality and integration, been implemented in the program for regional development of the region Kronoberg? 2) What has facilitated or hindered the implementation of the two social development aspects? 3) What possibilities to steer the implementation process of the two social development aspects exist at the governmental and at the regional level?In order to answer these questions a qualitative method has been used. To be able to analyse the empirical material, which consists of documents and interviews, the theoretical framework comprehends the policy process and implementation steering. The conclusion is that the incorporation of the social development aspects in the regional development program does not fully correspond with the central intentions, and that is due to circumstances at the regional level..

The purpose of this study was to gain knowledge and a picture of how foster parents perceive their task, the role of the placed children and their biological parents.  Even how they perceived their family have been affected by the mandates removal. Consistently showed the most positive experiences with strong ties to the children placed. However, there are experiences of the need for additional guidance, support, education and contact with the client to enhance a sense of competence in the task and prevent collapse. Burnout experienced often based in the placed child's difficulties in integration.

This thesis aims at investigating the conflict development of Swedish foreign policy debates during 1989-2000. It is rather assumed that the Swedish foreign policy debates have been highly characterized by a large consensus. Despite that, there have been certain occurrences where the political parties have flushed into party struggle and shown disagreements over the party frontiers. This has raised questions about the range of conflict and consensus in such debates where I have studied the political parties' backchats. I have studied situations where the political parties replicate each other in order to investigate the range of consensus and controversy that exists within different foreign policy areas.
