In this essay the author has chosen to analyze the similarities and differences between some of the northern Europe?s late Mesolithic and Neolithic cultures. The research is of a processual standpoint and the information is mainly gathered from secondary sources as well as ethnological studies. The material collected has been analyzed in both a processual and a post-processual manner to most accurately study the foundations of the three primary theories describing the Pitted Ware Culture?s origin.

Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.

Diabetes mellitus is an endocrine disorder affecting a range of different mammals, including dogs, cats, horses and humans. Worldwide, 347 million people have diabetes, and the disease is an increasing burden on the world?s poorest countries. The disease is characterised by chronic hyperglycaemia and afflicted individuals experience increased thirst, polyuria and weight loss, sometimes despite increased appetite. Diabetes mellitus is either insulin dependent or non-insulin dependent.

This bachelor´s thesis wants to look closer at librarians´ experiences of comics, manga and graphic novels. In order to bring these experiences forward qualitative interviews and the method of phenomenography was used. The material was then examend againstna theory of previous research, revealing that the problems librarians in Sweden face with these media are largely the same as the problems faced by librarians in other parts of the world. It also became clear that the participating librarians held a positive attitude to the presence of comics, manga and graphic novles in their libraries..

The use of balanced scorecards have spread explosively throughout the world during the last decade. This management tool have become very common in a vide spread variety of organisations on all continents. Many balanced scorecard fails though and scorecard theorists often blame the identification- and implementation process as they claim that these lay the foundation for the use of the tool. As my literature study shows, academic research on the area is rare. Particularly the effect on the implementation process from organisational dynamics and organisational structures needs further research.

The purpose of the present study is to describe adult second language learners? experiences of mathematics learning from a past and contemporary perspective. What experiences in mathematics do they bring? What does it mean to learn Mathematics through their new language?The study is based on life-world narratives from five second language students with another native language than Swedish. Today they all study at a Swedish folk high school, at upper secondary level and they have previously studied at this level in Mathematics. The result shows that the meeting with the Swedish school and folk high school context is confusing.

I en delstudie till IDA-projektet har 185 kvinnor i 40-årsåldern skattat sin stress med PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) och genomfört fyra episodiska minnestest. Ett omvänt U-format samband med PSS som oberoende faktor och prestation i de olika minnestesterna som beroende faktor har prövats. Ett linjärt samband har sökts post hoc. Både explicit och implicit minnesprestation har mätts, liksom primär- och sekundärminnesprestation. Hög- och lågutbildade deltagare analyserades separat.

Syftet med föreliggande systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva kvinnors behov av in-formation i samband med hysterektomi. Via Högskolan Dalarnas databas Elin och Blackwell Synergy söktes vetenskapliga fulltextartiklar som behandlade kvinnors informationsbehov vid livmoderoperation. Av 41 artiklar valdes 15 ut varav 8 kvantitativa och 7 kvalitativa. Dessa kvalitetsprövades med 28 kriterier från modifierade granskningsmallar efter Forsberg och Wengström (2003) samt Willman, Stoltz och Bahtsevani (2006). Av artikelurvalet framkom att kvinnorna saknade information om hysterektomi i allmänhet och i synnerhet om behand-lingsalternativ samt kvinnans gynekologiska hälsa och dessutom om post-operativ sexualitet.

Abstrakt Uppsatsen behandlar ämnet motivation och mer specifikt faktorer som påverkar chefers motivation till förändringsarbete. Undersökningen har en kvalitativ ansats och datainsamlingen har skett med hjälp av gruppintervju och via e-post. Urvalet för undersökningen var sex chefer anställda på Karlskrona kommun. Resultatet visar att förväntan påverkar chefers motivation. Vi fann också att chefers förtroende till ledning och chefers förståelse av förändringsarbetet påverkar motivationen.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has the potential to be used for the diagnosis and study of osteoarthrosis in the equine tarsal region. In the development of new diagnostic MRI techniques cadaver specimens are often used. To allow the use of cadaver legs for these types of studies it is important to know the effect of time after death on the MRI image. Since the relaxation times are temperature dependent, it is interesting to examine whether the time after death and the temperature of the cadaver may play a role in the image appearance and quality. The radio pulse sequences that show the different types of tissues are also important to know when pathological evaluation with MRI is used.

What is an economic crime? Who is an economic criminal? How do we speak of the phenomenon and what does they way we speak mean? The immediate result of the study is that there is a stereotype image of the economic criminal that is produced within peoples speech. This image contains characteristics that bring the subject, the economic criminal, far away from the traditional crime subject, and brings it closer to a non-criminal subject.
