Abstract 1.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects whole body vibrations on maximal strength, power output and neuromuscular activity in m. pectoralis major during bench press.Participants consisted of 35 male and 9 female military high school students (m=23, 1 years). On the basis of initial maximal performances in bench press the participants was divided into two experiments groups and one control group. Intervention groups performed a specifically designed push up program on a vibrating plate respectively a step board during 12 weeks Initial load at 60 % of 1 RM showed an average of 46, 5 kg. All groups showed an average increase of 13 kg for each person after 12 weeks.

Background: The prevalence of dementia increases both in Sweden and in the rest of the world. People with dementia often display some types of behavioral and psychological symptoms. These symptoms include, among other things, aggressiveness, inactivity, activity disturbance, anxiety, hallucinations and depression. The symptoms can create a negative impact of those with dementia, their caregivers and their next of kin. Aim: To describe the effect of non-pharmacological treatments have on the behavioral and psychological symptoms of people with dementia.

A decade ago the organic egg production in Sweden was nearly nonexistent (Föreningen för ekologisk fjäderfäproduktion, 2008). A rising demand for these products in the beginning of year 2000 made the organic egg production the most increasing production of all organic provisions. The Swedish consumers value provision production that have a reduced impact on the environment and further protects the wellness of animals and plants (Jordbruksverket, 2010). Today, the organic egg production composes roughly 6 % of the total egg production in Sweden. This indicates that the ambition of Jordbruksverket, which has an organic egg production goal of 10 % of the total production, is not yet achieved.The consumer demand on the market is the driving force for these new products, and the higher prices contribute to an essential portion of the additional costs of organic egg production (Jordbruksverket, 2004).

The control of indoor temperature must be able to handle large time constants and both measureable disturbances like outdoor temperature, and non-measurable disturbances, like waste heat from appliances. Due to cheaper microcontrollers (small computers with designated tasks) with better performance, more advanced and computation-demanding methods for control can be used.In this thesis, Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) has been implemented and tested on a theoretically derived model of a house. GPC states that a model of the system is estimated in every sample, and the control is carried out simultaneously, based on predictions of the model. Disturbances like solar radiation can be estimated and used in the control as well. The control signals are determined by quadratic programming, which makes it possible to consider conditions, for example limitations on the control signals.GPC requires a number of parameters to be defined, like model order and control signal penalty, but is relatively robust for variations in them.

För att bättre förstå vad som leder till frånvaro och frivilliga avgångar inom kriminalvården är det aktuellt att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar dessa beteenden. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vad ett antal faktorer i arbetsklimatet betydde för individers arbetsrelaterade attityder. Vidare undersöktes om effekterna av klimatvariablerna på attityden intention till uppsägning medierades av de arbetsrelaterade attityderna. Deltagare i undersökningen var kriminalvårdare (N = 90) på en anstalt i Norrtälje. Sammanfattningsvis tyder resultatet på att det varierade vilka klimatfaktorer som kunde predicera de olika attityderna.

Syfte och frågeställningar Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka om fotbollsspelare kan utveckla proprioception där visuell återkoppling systematiskt tas bort vid kontroll av bollen med fötterna.Frågeställningar:? Går det att utveckla förmågan att kontrollera bollen utan visuell återkoppling under en träningsperiod om fyra veckor och 12 träningspass? ? Hur förändras en fotbollsspelares prestation (kontroll av bollen) med avseende på en förbättrad proprioception med hänsyn tagen till: tid (sekunder), hastighet (varv/minut) samt antal tillfällen spelaren tittar respektive tappar boll?MetodTotalt 20 deltagare från ett pojkelitlag valdes ut och matchades inför träningsperioden in i en interventions- och en kontrollgrupp för att säkerhetsställa att båda grupperna var likvärdiga. Interventionsgruppen bestod av 12 deltagare, medelålder ± standardavvikelse (± SD) var 12,2 (± 0,2) år. Kontrollgruppen bestod av 8 deltagare, medelålder 12,0 (± 0,7) år. Interventionsgruppen har under fyra veckor genomfört fyra specifikt framtagna träningsövningar innehållandes uppvärmning inkluderat dribblingar och passningar, slalom, bollkontroll i lådram och smålagsspel.

Directive 2006/54/EG from the European Union concerns the equal rights between men and woman and the principle of equal rights. The purpose of the directive is that the member states provide the equal rights between men and woman. Affirmative action is one exception from the principle of equal rights which is settled in directive 2006/54/EG, article 3. The purpose for the affirmative action must be to encourage the equal rights between men and women.EU has specific criteria to use affirmative action, which is created by praxis of the Court of Justice of the European Union. These criteria are that the affirmative action must involve an objective assessment, there must be equal qualifications between the person which is affirmative action and the person who is not, the positive action cannot be automatically decisive and this special treatment should be proportionate to the purpose.

This study aims to increase the understanding of how some teachers and special education teachers work and relate to pupils with difficulties, and in which way they use guiding documents in their daily work. Over the last four decades the curricula in Sweden have aimed at creating a school for everybody though, without any significant success. Today, many students leave the comprehensive school without grades in the subjects Swedish, Maths, and English. Since the obligatory school was introduced, pupils that have been considered un-normal have been sorted out to other groups and classes, where teachers with special competence have been working.The designation ?a school for everybody? is described in perspective from four different definitions.

Investment in hedge funds is a relatively new phenomenon for investors compared with other forms of savings. In recent years, the interest has increased among investors in investing their money in hedge funds, given the protection against declines in the market they are aiming for. Their main purpose is to generate a high return at a low risk regardless of market trends. This they can achieve by having fewer restrictions that offer more flexible investment strategies and freer investment opportunities.The purpose of this paper is to identify how the selected hedge fund strategies have performed during the recent economic downturn. We also want to clarify the claim that hedge funds exhibit a positive absolute return regardless of what the market is performing.In order to answer the purpose of the essay and its problems, we have used a quantitative method with a deductive approach in the processing of data.

Background: Dementia is an umbrella term for a group of diseases that affects the brain and causes cognitive impairment. Animal-assisted Therapy's goal is to meet patients' physical, psychological and social dimensions within the current health care field. To avoid problems like infections and allergy, robotic animals has been developed. The purpose of robotic animals is to induce relaxation and well-being of persons with cognitive impairment for example.Purpose: To compile scientific articles on which effects care dog and robotic animals have on mental and physical health in patients with dementia. Method: A literature review consisting of nine quantitative research articles.

More than 1000 Swedish Warmblood foals are shown every year at foal inspections which are arranged around the country. Six traits are evaluated at these inspections: type, head-neck-body, correctness of legs, walk, trot and canter. No previous genetic studies have been done on the data from these evaluations. The purpose of this study was to do genetic analyses of the traits which are evaluated at foal inspections. The purpose was also to see if there are any correlations between the results of the foal inspections and the results from the tests of three-year-old horses.

Society?s expectations differ and stakeholders are demanding that companies act responsibly on matters related to climate, work environment and human rights. The purpose of sustainability reports is that companies should measure, present and take responsibility in relation to their internal and external stakeholders. It is intended that a reasonable picture of the company's sustainability performance should be communicated, containing both positive and negative effects.Companies efforts with sustainability issues is industry-dependent and industries with significant environmental problems perform the most advanced environmental statement.

I Sverige beräknas ca 400 000 människor ha diabetes, 90 % har diabetes typ 2. Bidragande orsaker till att utveckla sjukdomen är ärftlighet samt ohälsosam livsstil. Sjukdomen förknippas med övervikt, ohälsosamma kostvanor och inaktivitet. Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att sammanställa kunskap som finns över åtgärder för viktreduktion hos vuxna personer med diabetes typ 2. Tre kategorier identifierades: att ge kostråd; att ge råd om fysisk aktivitet; att utbilda till egenkontroll.

I denna uppsats så ställs frågan om det går att effektivisera dagens PA-teknik. Detta på ett sätt som gynnar tekniker, musiker och mindre band. Undersökningen som genomfördes innefattade en litteraturundersökning och flertalet intervjuer med personer som på olika sätt arbetar med ljud och musik i livesammanhang.Resultaten visar att det går att effektivisera PA-tekniken mer än vad som görs idag. I och medden digitala teknikens introducerande så underlättas både teknikers och musikers jobb. Den traditionella multikabeln kan ersättas med varianter baserade på Ethernet.

Bemanningsbranschen har eskalerat under 2000-talet och är här för att stanna. Branschen är enorm och avser att underlätta samhällets arbetssituation. För många unga är det den första språngbrädan in på arbetsmarknaden. Arbetstillfredsställelse och motivation är en viktig aspekt att ta till vara på i rekryterarnas vardag för att kontinuerligt behålla den goda atmosfären. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka faktorer som är utmärkande för rekryterarnas arbetstillfredsställelse.
