AbstractPURPOSE: The aim of this study was to describe and compare possible differences regarding selected prognostic factors for disability between patients with non-specific chronic pain who were about to start a multidisciplinary treatment program (MMR), either within primary care (MMR1) or hospital care (MMR2).METHODS: The study had a descriptive and comparative cross sectional design. Eighty-nine patients were recruited consecutively when they were about to start their team treatment (50 in MMR1,39 in MMR2). The measurements were; Evaluation of self-reported self-efficacy for eight daily activities (STIVA-8), The Pain Belief Screening Instrument (PBSI) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).RESULTS: The study found some significant differences between the answers from patients in MMR1 and those from patients in MMR2. For instance, patients in MMR2 estimated lower self-efficacy according to STIVA-8 than patients in MMR1. Also, there were fewer low risk patients and more high risk patients in MMR2 than in MMR1 regarding pain intensity according to PBSI.

The use of Power Line Communication, PLC, as a communication solution for Automated Meter Reading, AMR, is popular by utilities in Sweden and other parts of the world due to demands of accurate and fast meter reading. However the use of the electrical grid as a communication medium is complex and sometimes problematic. This report handles some of the issues and problems that are important to understand when using the grid as a communications medium. Focus is mainly on investigating high frequency distortion in the Kristianstad power grid own by C4energi caused by a frequency converter. Measurements on site are done to investigate signal damping in the grid, different configurations for the frequency converter and signal strength of the PLC-system.

Common species of freshwater mussels may, like the freshwater pearl mussel (Margaritifera margaritifera) have a drastic decline in number and there is several reasons, like sedimentation, a decline of host fishes, introduction of alien species, nutrition leakages from agriculture and pollutants of medic drugs and poison. Ann Gustavsson made in the year of 2007 a study over rejuventation of freshwater great mussels in nine watersystems and considered that the rejuventation within the populations were all along the line poor. This study orients from her work and points to determine if there is a connection between the poor juventation and pollution of nitrogen and phosphorous from industries and private sanitations. The study was performed with the software program ArcGIS9.2 to take out drainage areas for the concerned habitats and contact was made with the concerned authoritys. When it comes to supervision of private sanitations is it the countys and for industries is it the county administrative board.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka huruvida en aktiv individ får högre framtida pensionsutbetalningar än en individ som låter kapitalet vara kvar i Premiesparfonden.Vår undersökning har en deduktiv ansats, då ekonomiska teorier har utgjort grunden för de beräkningar som har gjorts. Beräkningarna bygger på hårddata, i form av historiska fondvärden, och studien är därmed kvantitativ. Tidigare undersökningar och beräkningar används för att styrka uppsatsen, som i och med detta är en sekundäranalys.  Den placeringsstrategi som visade sig ge högst framtida utbetalningar med hänsyn tagen till risken var den aktiva placeringen. De portföljer som de aktiva premiepensionstagarna har att välja mellan i vår studie, ger alla högre framtida utbetalningar än Premiesparfonden. Vidare kan tilläggas att Premiesparfonden är ett av alternativen som har för hög risk i förhållande till dess låga avkastning.Det skulle vara intressant att om några år, då Premiespar-fonden har förändrats till generationsfonder, göra om denna studie och då undersöka om detta leder till högre pensionsutbetalningar för de icke-aktiva premiepensionstagarna.Denna studie bidrar med och stärker, genom konkreta exempel, det som en del andra författare redan påpekat, att de icke- aktiva premiepensionsspararna får lägre framtida utbetalningar än de som är aktiva i sitt sparande..

This paper aims to describe the geographical changes of Swedish international aid politics since 2007, which was the year the new aid reform of decreasing collaborating countries, came up. To decrease the number of aid receiving countries due to efficiency is not a new idea within Swedish aid politics, but Sweden received criticism from the (DAC) Development Assistance Committee, saying Sweden was active in too many countries, and the government established a policy to decrease the amount of countries given aid. Despite the government?s recent work, science has shown on a failed country focusing. This is followed up in the paper trough examination of statistics to measure the extent of the reduction.

The distribution of work related tasks depending on gender leads to different appraisal depending on which gender is performing a task. This aim of this research is to study how gender differences influence task allocation within the restaurant industry. The study is inspired by a discourse analysis perspective complemented by constructivist and critical pragmatic theory. Interviews were conducted in two focus groups with seven participants in total. The analysis is divided into four sections which answer six discourse analytical questions using the interview material.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete var att få en förståelse för hur lärandet kan stimuleras i en sko-la för alla. Studien hade ett lärarperspektiv på elevers lärande och vi hade tre frågeställningar som stöd för att uppnå studiens syfte: Hur gör lärarna för att stimulera elevers lärande? Vad utgår lärarna från när de planerar sina lektioner? Känner lärarna sig tillräckliga när det gäller att stimulera elevers lärande? För att få en förståelse för detta gjorde vi kvalitativa intervjuer med sex lärare med elever i år 1-3. Intervjuerna utfördes på tre skolor i Luleå kommun. Ex- empel på vad lärarna gör för att stimulera eleverna i lärandet är att de har varierad undervisning, de reflekterar och utvärderar tillsammans med eleverna samt att de ger uppgifter på en lämplig nivå.

This Master of Science Thesis was a complement project to the PIEp study MENTOL, carried out at a Swedish midsize medical device company.. PIEp nationally works for a long-term increase of the innovation capability of people and organizations. The purpose of this study was to find measuring parameters of innovation that fit medium-sized technological companies and organizations, Another purpose was to evaluate an innovation investment at the company, consisting of external consultant?s education of key personnel in innovation, and a two day innovation seminar with all personnel at the company participating. The methods used during this Master of Science Thesis were: feasibility and literature studies about innovation and innovation measurements, quantitative and qualitative interviews, surveys and workshops.For an accurate measure of innovation it is crucial to a have full understanding of what innovation is, and clarity of the purpose of the measurement itself.

Bakgrunden till studien är att forskningen visar att elever i svårigheter utvecklas mest kunskapsmässigt och mår bäst socialt av att inkluderas i klassens undervisning. Trots detta finns det väldigt ofta en önskan att exkludera dessa elever eftersom många lärare inte anser sig klara elever med specialpedagogiska behov inom den ordinarie undervisningens ram. Detta har lett till en rättvise- och inkluderingsdebatt såväl som en debatt med ekonomiska förtecken. Frågor som lyfts är ?Var mår eleverna bäst och finns det metoder som fungerar så att alla elever kan inkluderas?? Min studie syftar till att undersöka möjligheten till ett inkluderande arbetssätt i engelskundervisningen med hjälp av Europeisk Språk Portfolio och Autonomous Learning.

SammanfattningLäsförståelse är en komplex process där flera olika komponenter samverkar. Tidigare studier bland grundskoleelever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar visar att trots snabb och korrekt läsning har en del av dessa elever svårigheter med förståelsen av innehållet i sammanhängande texter. Syftet med denna studie är att ur ett lärarperspektiv få reda på vilken typ av skönlitteratur som gymnasieelever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar väljer och hur lärare arbetar med dessa elevers läsförståelse samt vilka svårigheter lärare möter i elevernas litteraturläsning. Metoden som används i undersökningen är kvalitativa intervjuer. Dessa intervjuer genomförs på två gymnasieskolor med fem lärare som på olika sätt möter elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar, främst elever med Asperger syndrom.Intervjuerna visar att elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar oftast väljer litteratur som har med deras intresseområde att göra, vilket också framkommer i forskningslitteraturen i denna studie. De intervjuade lärarna framhåller också att elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar, som de möter i undervisningssammanhang med litteraturläsning, har svårigheter att förstå sammanhanget i en text. Undersökningen visar att en framgångsrik arbetsmodell med elevernas läsförståelse bygger på att eleverna får läsa kortare stycken med efterföljande frågor och genomgång av textens budskap.

BAKGRUND:Bakgrunden är uppdelad i fem olika avsnitt. Det två första avsnitten behandlar det svenskaspråket och skriftens utveckling. I avsnitt tre redogörs det för tidigare forskning kringspråkutveckling och här beskrivs även den teoretiska ramen för vår undersökning vilken är avsocialkonstruktivistisk art. Avsnitt fyra skildrar forskningen kring språkutveckling ur ettandraspråksperspektiv. Här beskrivs interimspråkteorin liksom modersmålets betydelse förlärandet och forskning som härrör detta område.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to enlighten and find understanding about stock return versus dividend on the ex ? day and try to figure out if abnormal returns occur on the portfolio during dividends.Methodology:The study was based in a quantitative nature and was derived with an event study and a hypothesis testing. The authors investigated the thirty most traded shares on the Stockholm stock exchange during a period of five years (2005 ? 2009). They were analyzed during a total of nine days; the estimation window was set to sixty days.

During the last decade, the construction industry has focused on improving and optimising its production process. The construction industry is now facing larger changes regarding efficiency in their supply chain for the next decade. Many companies are now trying to optimise its supply chain together with its supplier. JM AB, which is one of the biggest construction companies in Sweden, is looking at different options to improve its own logistics together with their suppliers. One option is to use a terminal between JM and the suppliers to solve problems such as quality, custom service and inventory for the in production.
