Vid designande av artificiella nätverk (ANN) är en viktig fas att identifiera en bra topologi. Topologin har betydelse för hur väl ett ANN klara att klassificera tidigare osedd data och även hur väl ett ANN klarar av att klassificera generellt. Ett sätt att automatisera detta designarbete är att använda genetiska algoritmer. Att använda GA för att evolvera ANN kallas neuroevolution.Vid användande av neuroevolution sker en automatisering av nätverksdesignen. Men eftersom GA använder en population, d.v.s.

Utifrån kategorierna etnicitet, genus, skola och språk undersöks, genom kvalitativa gruppintervjuer, åtta gymnasieelevers identitetsskapande som tjejer som följer kursplanen i svenska som andraspråk (SVA). I studien belyses vad ?invandrar-identiteten? betyder för tjejerna, hur de ser på sin flerspråkighet, vilken inställning och vilka attityder de har till skola och studier samt slutligen hur de positionerar sig i förhållande till killar. Informanterna tillhör samma SVA-grupp i årskurs ett, men är uppdelade i två grupper vilka skiljer sig åt vad gäller inställning till skolarbete och grad av studiemotivation.Studiens resultat är inte generaliserbart till en större population, men belyser och bekräftar i stort vad som framkommit hos bland andra Otterup (2005), Holm (2008) och Ambjörnsson (2003). Det fram-kommer i studien att framför allt identiteten som "invandrare" (eller "blatte") är viktig för tjejerna, och att den blir möjlig främst genom att de har vuxit upp i Bergsjön och Biskopsgården, vilka är så kallade ?multietniska? förortsområden i Göteborg.

Mast cells have for a long time been known to accumulate around tumors (Maltby et al., 2009). Studies show that they may be important and sometimes essential in tumor angiogenesis, tumor growth and metastasis of tumors (Soucek, et al., 2007; Xiang et al., 2010). In an expression array study (Wensman et al, submitted manuscript) performed on mouse mast cells exposed to tumor conditioned medium, the gene 4-1BB was among the most up-regulated genes compared to control medium. 4-1BB codes for a membrane receptor protein of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily and has been shown to be important in T cell regulation in tumor diseases. This study was performed to investigate if human mast cells up-regulate 4-1BB when they get exposed to tumor conditioned medium.

Perch (Perca fluviatilis) is a very popular fish in Sweden and it is common in Swedish waters. In some areas along the Swedish coast the perch population has decreased. It is therefore important to get a view at the health status of perch. During April, July and August of 2008, a total of 346 perches were caught in the Gump Bay in the Botnian Sea. The fish were mainly caught by net but also by rod.

This study was made in collaboration between Umeå University and Västerbotten sportsfederation. The study was aimed to find out how the municipalities are working with variousissues in the sports field. A subject of interest for this study was to see if the municipalitieswere implementing strategies in the sports field on determined goals by using policydocuments. Our study focused mostly on kids and youth that participate in organized sports inVästerbotten. Other aspects of interest in the study were economics in sports, how youthsports should be organized, and segregation in sports due to financial factors.

Syfte; Att beskriva effekten av komplementära smärtlindringsmetoder inom palliativ vård. Metod; Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt och baseras på tretton kvantitativa artiklar. Resultat; Massage, akupunktur och musikterapi har studerats då dessa behandlingar är godkända i Sverige.

I am going to look into how people from that region looks upon their identity. Do they consider themselves as Swedish, Tornedaling or Finnish? I have two research questions on this topic: 1) What does a person from Tornedalen consider their identity? 2) If the way the Swedish state treated Tornedalen, from around the middle of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century, has affected the way people from this region looks upon their own culture, and if the treatment has affected peoples view of the Swedish state.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att granska den domesticerade hönans (Gallus gallus domesticus) kapacitet för att dra lärdom via social inlärning.

In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the following research question was created: How do individuals with leadership roles experience the influences of the organization's structure and culture on their formal leadership? The theoretical starting point is Weber's organization theory, Schein's organizational culture theory, and different definitions of leadership.

The purpose of this media scientific study is to contribute to a better understanding about how blind people?s empowerment and participation may affect their role in the digital society.Earlier international studies in this area have shown that blind people not only need more knowledge then the seeing population about the computer, but also about the technology behind their tools for using Internet. The results from these studies have also shown that Internet increases the blind people?s independents and that those who use Internet feel more involved in the society.A qualitative method was chosen to study the three most common categories from the earlier studies: knowledge of technology, empowerment and participation. Are there differences in the results compared to our study in Sweden 2014?Interviews with eight blind, experienced computer users have shown that knowledge of technology is essential for their use of Internet and that the Internet increases their empowerment and their participation.
