The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how an individual's identity is constructed and reinforced through clothing brands. This we intend to achieve by studying and analyzing the significance of clothing brands on consumers. In close proximity to this purpose, we have chosen to work with three research questions:? How do consumers see clothing as a means to express themselves? ? What perception does consumers have on clothing brands as identity creators? ? How do consumers value wearing clothes from a particular clothing brand?.

Detta arbete använder genetiska algoritmer för att få fram ANN hos boids utifrån två uppsättningar regler och jämför de resulterande beteendena med varandra. Boids är simulerade fåglar i en fågelflock som var för sig styrs med enkla regler men som tillsammans bildar ett flockbeteende. Genetiska algoritmer liknar naturens evolution. En population vars egenskaper kodas på ett genom blir bättre på de egenskaperna genom att de bästa individerna väljs ut och får utvecklas mer medans de sämre rensas bort. ANN står för artificiella neurala närvek och ska likna biologiska neurala nätverk och ska med andra ord fungera som en hjärna.

This study was an assignment for the company Holmen which is located in the region of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The study was focusing on the responsibilities of a forestry planner during the planning season. The study was investigating about how much time the planner spent in the office, in the car and out in the forest. Any other issues that would cause delays were also identified. To be more effective and to increase the number of objects to a district bank, a better preparation in the planning stage (for thinning?s or clear cuts) is needed as well as faster transition on to the next area.

Biodiversity is essential for human well-being and it is defined as the genetic variation within species and the variety of species and ecosystems. Biodiversity provides several ecosystem services which are necessary for human beings but there are different threats towards the biodiversity. The biodiversity linked to the forest in Sweden are threatened, about 50 % of the red-listed species in Sweden are associated with forests. This is linked to the commercial exploitation of the boreal forest in Sweden which started 200 years ago. The forestry the last 50 years, with clear-cuts, have contributed to a fragmented forest landscape.

In contemporary Sweden political participation among foreign-born Swedes is viewed as low and it is well known that foreign-born individuals do not use their voting rights to the same extent as the general population. At the same time there are numerous ethnic associations around the country who work with various activities involving political, democratic and integration issues. This study aims to study how four members of a Somali association regard, relate to and work with politics, democracy and integration. The study is based on these four people, but also on their relationship with authorities and other agencies in the community. The conclusion of this study shows in brief that the desire to participate politically is great, but that democracy and politics is accessible to all, depending on the level of language skills and what political knowledge the individual has.

Blodtrycksmätning är en viktig del i en sjuksköterskas arbetsuppgifter och då både manuell och digital blodtrycksmätning idag förekommer parallellt inom svensk sjukvård syftar denna studie till att undersöka om det finns någon skillnad mellan de uppmätta resultaten i dessa mätmetoder och beskriva denna eventuella skillnad. Undersökningen genomfördes på en kärlkirurgisk avdelning på ett sjukhus i södra Sverige under hösten 2009. Populationen bestod av 38 inneliggande patienter som följdes upp med totalt 65 blodtrycksmätningar. För att utföra undersökningen tillämpades cross-over design med kvantitativ ansats. Resultaten visade skillnader mellan de två mätmetoderna då den digitala metoden uppmätte högre blodtryck än den manuella. Digital blodtrycksmätning visade genomgående högre mätresultat jämfört med manuell metod.

How do they work with Facebook to increase dialogue with citizens?The theories that has been used in this study is Cutlip?s and Grunig?s public relations theories, Shannon and weavers communication model, Cutlip?s and Heath?s theory of issue management and Jenkins theory of convergence culture. The method that has been used in this study is qualitative semi-structured interviews and the analysis is done with a thematic text analysis.

The purpose of this thesis has been to increase the availability the exhibition text at Eskilstuna Art Museum to make it easier for the target group to read and understand them. To get answers to my questions, I have studied relevant theories and methods, including textual analysis of the current exhibition texts. In my work, I have used the principles of the concept ?easy to read? but also considered the problems with this tool when I made my prototype. The population of asylum seekers puts new challenges on the Swedish health care since their difficulties are complex; having both atraumatic background and a continuing worry about the asylum process.This study aims at investigating how health care professionals working with asylum seekers are affected emotionally using the theoretical concepts of empathy, compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction. Nine qualitative interviews with health care professionals were conducted and the material was analyse dusing thematic analysis. Results were deductively found in thematerial, using the asylum process itself along with the concepts of empathy, compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction as themes. Previous findings regarding empathy and its relations to compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction were confirmed. This was furhter developed in this study through its focus on health care professionals working with asylum seekers..
