En central fråga som hela tiden har återkommit är: hur ska staten organiseras för att på bästa möjliga sett ta tillvara på demokratins fördelar, utan att riskera att jordens resurser blir överexploaterade? FN:s miljökonferenser, i exempelvis Stockholm och Rio de Janerio har lett till att ekologismen och den liberala demokratin varit tvungen att existera sida vid sida. På den teoretiska nivån finns stora konflikter mellan den liberala demokratin och ekologismen. Med bakgrund av konflikten mellan ekologismens skyldigheter och liberalismens rättigheter är uppsatsens syfte att undersöka huruvida dessa konflikter existerar och utgör ett problem i skolans verksamhet. Detta blir relevant att studera dels på grund av att Agenda 21-handlingsplanen tillskriver skolan ett stort ansvar när det gäller att utbilda miljömedvetna medborgare och dels på grund av att begreppet hållbar utveckling fått allt större prioritet på den politiska dagordningen i de liberala demokratierna.

Med anledning av att flera kriser av extraordinära slag har inträffat i fredstid har förmågan att hantera dessa fått stor uppmärksamhet. Ett exempel är stormen Gudrun som lamslog delar av Sverige i januari 2005. För att kunna hantera sådana kriser behövs en fungerande beredskap och här har kommunerna en viktig roll. Om kommunerna har en väl utvecklad krisberedskap kan samhället bättre klara av en kris. Genom utvärderingar och erfarenheter från kriser har det visat sig att samverkan mellan kommuner är av stor betydelse för en god krisberedskap.

??The aim of this study was to define students? needs and wishes about the content of a health website. A questionnaire was distributed to 531 students at three different Universities studying two different education programs, of which 98 participated. The research was based on relevant articles, studies and literature. The study shows that students are interested in a health website and there seems to be a demand, among students, to improve their health.

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att genom ett hälso- och miljöpsykologiskt perspektiv ta reda på vad elever i årskurs sex och åtta har för lunchvanor under skoltid och vad som kan påverka dessa. För att uppnå vårt syfte har vi valt följande frågeställningar:På vilket sätt skiljer sig elevernas lunchvanor åt i olika åldrar i studien?Hur skiljer sig elevernas lunchvanor åt på olika skolor i studien beroende på vilken tillgång de har till närliggande matalternativ?Hur upplever eleverna i studien att de olika skolornas policy angående lunchvanor ser ut?MetodStudien är av både kvantitativ och kvalitativ karaktär och bygger på en enkät som undersökningsmetod.  Enkätundersökningen genomfördes i åtta klasser av totalt 177 elever i årskurs sex och åtta på två skolor i centrala Stockholm. Skolornas namn är fingerade till Ekorrens respektive Grävlingens skola.ResultatUr ett övergripande perspektiv var det inte så stor skillnad mellan de olika skolorna, däremot kunde en tydlig skillnad ses mellan de olika årskurserna. De yngre eleverna tenderade att ha sämre matvanor än vad de äldre eleverna hade.

Ångermanland has at the last five years lost 420 hockey players. This is a qualitative study that focus on investigating the main problems of dropouts among young hockey players and how ice hockey associations in Ångermanland act to find solutions to the problem. The main questions of the study are: How can the dropout problems in Ångermanland be understood or explained in terms of youth operators' perspective and what are the potential strategies that the ice hockey associations are using to deal with the dropout problem and what approaches to youth hockey is reflected in the youth operators' statements? The study was based on semi-structure interviews with 6 different ice hockey sports clubs in Ångermanland. The results showed that the leadership programs ought to be more educational, and more oriented toward understanding the children instead of mainly technical learning objectives about how to shoot, dribble, and skate.

As most developed countries Norway has an ageing population meaning that the number of pensioners is predicted to grow rapidly over the coming years. As a consequence the Norwegian pension system will not be able to provide for these future pensioners. Meanwhile, a rising number of early retirees and disability pension claimants is diminishing the real retirement age. Also the individual pension amount is growing while the pension system itself reaches maturity. In short, major reforms are needed in the Norwegian pension system.

Denna uppsats fokuserar på den etableringsprocess som har skett i Jönköpings kommun vid införandet av familjecentraler. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur införandet av familjecentraler kan förstås och genom det skapa fördjupad kunskap om etableringsprocesser i socialt arbete. Studien har genomförts i form av en fallstudie. Empiri har samlats in genom intervjuer och genom offentliga allmänna handlingar. Materialet har analyserats genom ett adhoc-förfarande inspirerat av fallstudieanalys.

This essay elucidates upper secondary students? literacy practices, (literacy events, literacy competencies and literacy culture) during a typical day, with focus on the daily literacy practices. A literacy ethnographic study conducted in the environment which participants naturally are, at home, at school and in leisure. The study is inspired of a project, Skriftbruk i arbetslivet, ´Literacy Practices in Working Life´, that conducted by Anna-Malin Karlsson, Per Ledin and Olle Josephson, in collaboration with Vetenskapsrådet ´Science Council´(2002-2004).The result of this study shows that students from professional preparing programs not use such literacy competencies that been tested in traditionally reading comprehension test, particularly much. However, do they read a lot during the literacy practices day by television, computer and mobile phone.

The problem with passive farmers has arised as an effect of the European Union´s common agricultural policy (CAP) and the decouplement from production-based payments. Payments to passive farmers contradict the purpose of the single payment scheme and constitute a great cost for the EU. The new contractual period after 2013 has given rise to discussions on the direction of the CAP with a purpose of increasing the efficiency of the single payment scheme, and reducing passive farming. The aim of the study is to increase the knowledge about a few factors? influence on passive farmers? attitudes towards land use and the CAP.

AimThe aim of the study is to find out if, and in that case how, the sports movement creates and reproduces norms and values regarding sex and sexuality. Questions to be answered are: Which experiences do non-heterosexual women have of everyday activities in the Swedish sports movement? How are norms on sex and sexuality visible in practice? Are there mechanisms/practices that challenge these norms? Finally, the results are discussed in relation to two policy documents from the National Organization of Sports (RF); ?Sports Wants? and ?Policy and plan of action against sexual harassment and sexual discrimination within sports?.MethodSince the aim was to understand, and not to generalize and quantify, a procedure of qualitative interviews was chosen. Ten non-heterosexual women were interviewed concerning their experiences of the Swedish sports movement. This paper attempts to display how five teachers of social studies use and relate to the policy documents and their instructions on gender. To penetrate the subject, five teachers were intreviewed. Each interview focused on how the curriculum attempts to guide teachers regarding gender, sex differences and equality of opportunity. The collected information was processed, analyzed and discussed using gender studies and discourse theory.The results show that the interpretation and usage of the curriculum is very subjective and varies greatly between all the interviewed teachers. Their personal interpretation proves to be crucial when it comes to making reality of the stated goals in the curriculum, concerning actively working towards equality of opportunity between sexes.
