Många människor finner det fascinerande att vistas i gränszoner mellan vattenområden; hav, sjöar, floder och staden där byggnader formar en tydlig silhuett. Vatten är en attraktion både för människan och för staden. Kajområden och strandpromenader är dessutom ofta platser för möten mellan människor då förutsättningarna att träffas på ett enkelt och naturligt sätt finns genom områdenas blandade funktioner. De fyller en social funktion, en yta där generationer blandas och där mänsklig aktivitet försiggår, konserter, marknader m.m. Men detta kan även skapa intressekonflikter som bör utredas och vägas mot varandra och om möjligt undvikas med en genomtänkt planering och gestaltning av områdena. I Lysekil finns en stadsnära kajpromenad som är mer än en kilometer lång.

This qualitative case study, made with four companies, looks closer at how more effective information management, with the help of IT-systems, affect companies market communication and relations to customers and suppliers. Customer Relationship Management perspective is used and Enterprise Resource Planning-systems are the ground for new technology change. The main conclusions are that new technology affects the outcome of companies? relationships towards their customers and suppliers and that the processes and activities between the involved parties are more closely linked. Also involving your suppliers and external actors makes the information handling more effective and companies that do so most likely have a competitive advantage..

As a result of increased energy prices more and more energy-efficient homes are coveted. An energy-efficient alternative is passive houses, which is characterized by an extremely well insulated building envelope that recovers the heat without the use of radiators or under floor heating. But a passive house requires a higher investment cost than a conventional building project, since it will require more construction materials, training of construction workers, greater land area, and long construction period. But the lower operating cost expects to pay back the higher cost of investment. We therefore question how profitable a passive house is in relation to houses built according to modern conventional building techniques.The aim of our study is to investigate the viability of passive houses compared to convent­ional houses.

In order to suggest improvements for the logistics of STARKA, we felt that we had to analyze all the activities which were related to STARKA's logistic processes. Our primary analysis consisted of a rough but comprehensive description of different functions in the company, and the relationship between them. This was performed by following a typical order through the company to see which functions were affected by the order.Since we needed a more thorough view of the company, we decided to analyze the different products STARKA currently has on the market, focusing on economic data such as turn-over, profit, profit margin, deficiency cost and cost of warehousing. We also analyzed the company's choice of manufacturing processes, organization, warehousing processes, strengths and weaknesses.These analyses gave us a clear understanding of the company and its processes. STARKA is a small, function oriented company with a wide range of products.

Det handlar om att översiktsplanen inte anses leva upp till dess lagstiftade syfte, som ett verktyg för politiskt och långsiktigt strategiska beslut om mark-och vattenanvändning samt bebyggelseutveckling. Är därmed översiktsplanen överflödig eftersom den inte anses leva upp till dess syfte? Vid ifrågasättandet av översiktsplanens relevans som riktlinje studeras detaljplaners faktiska användning av översiktsplanens riktlinjer. Detta för att utse om eventuella avvikelser görs i detaljplanen ur översiktsplanen.

This project aims to explore fear of violence in public places. Fear of violence reminds us that there is a problem in our urban environment that leads to spatial consequences in using public space. Many groups in our society experience fear in their everyday life but this project has focus on women?s fear.

In the gaming industry, it has long been popular to combine genres with the aim ofcreating games that bring together the best of several worlds. However, there are stillmany unexplored combinations with good potential.This report addresses the Planning and development of a game prototype that combinestwo game genres, turn-based and real-time strategy. In addition to presenting the results,the report also discusses the di culties that were encountered and how they were handled.The prototype contains a working combat system and a basic AI. The prototype ismodular, which means that it is easy for an end user to extend the game with extra content.Most elements that were considered important from the two genres were implemented, butthere is still room for improvement and further development.The result is evaluated by means of quality assurance, a process that is commonly usedin the gaming industry. The response has been generally positive, which indicates thatthe combination has potential and should be explored further..

För att kunna nå politiskt uppsatta nationella klimatmål för 2050 krävs en ökad användning av järnväg. Samtidigt belastas järnvägen mer och mer eftersom varor och människor reser mer och längre. Denna tendens och politikens ökade fokus på järnväg medför att järnvägen troligen kommer få en ökad betydelse inom stadsutveckling och eventuellt även ta mer mark i anspråk. Parallellt finns i Sverige en tendens till yteffektivisering där städer omvandlar ledig mark och övergivna tomter i en önskan att motverka urban sprawl. Problemet är att det kring järnväg skapas ytor som är svåra att använda.

The right to the city has lately become the rallying cry for many urban social movements all over the world to challenge neoliberal Planning, gentrification, the privatization of urban commons and growing spatial and social gaps in city and society. This senior essay studies urban social movements that in different ways advocate the idea of the right to the city. The term right to the city was coined in the late 1960s by French urban theorist Henri Lefebvre, who promoted the idea of the city as a common, a space belonging to everyone. The right to the city is not ?a return to traditional cities?, but ?a right to urban life? (1996:158).This study focuses on the city of Hamburg.

In my essay I have examined how teachers look upon their role as leader in the classroom. I have interviewed six teachers, senior level ones and teachers from the upper secondary school, about how they look upon tasks that involve Planning, control, motivation, groups, and individuals. Based on their answers, I have analyzed if there is anything that can be related to a common leader competence within their profession and, in that case, how it will appear.The result that I have found has been that it exists a common leadership style that teachers are more or less conscious of. The teachers decide on what level the classes or the pupils are andafter that decision they plan their education. The leadership in the classroom can be of different kinds depending on the situation.

Kraven har ökat på insyn och inflytande från medborgarna i samhällsutvecklingen. Medborgarnas medverkan i planeringsprocessen är viktig av flera skäl. Arenor där medborgarna ges möjlighet att diskutera och debattera behövs. Bland annat har tillkomsten av Internet skapat nya möjligheter till dialog mellan medborgare och myndigheter. Demokrati och IT var för sig skulle man kunna betrakta som två stora intresseområden i vårt samhälle.

Stockholms stad förväntas fram till 2030 öka sin befolkningsmängd med 150 000 nya invånare. Därmed uppkommer behov av att också grannskapsförorterna expanderar. Kan en relativt kraftig expansion ske i dessa förorter och hur bör i så fall dess struktur och form att förändras? Förortsutbyggnaden i Stockholm skedde i en expansiv tid, då det fanns en stark misstro mot staden som fenomen. Grannskapsförorterna, uppförda från 1940-talet till mitten av 60-talet, planerades efter ett lantligt ideal, med naturen som övergripande system där människans behov av vila skulle tillgodoses.
