Municipalities in Sweden are responsible for physical planning by developing a general plan. This plan contains intended land and water use for the area. This study aims to investigate the level of integra­tion of environmental issues in the general plan of Arboga municipality and also how well adapted the municipality is for climate change. Further on, the study intends to examine the focus of the gen­eral plan and at what rate the national environmental strategies are implemented in the local physi­cal planning of Arboga municipality. Methods used for this study are interviews and reviewing of the general plan itself and other key documents.

The Swedish agriculture has gone through some changes and there are more changes coming in the near future. The structure is mowing towards bigger units. The average age for the Swedish farmer is high, and a great number of agricultural enterprises are going to get an owner from the next generation within the family. The aim of this thesis is through case studies examine the economic consequences of transfer of agricultural holdings. The methods in change of generation that this essay treats are changes of generation, in the form of gift and purchases.

We have seen a revolution in the area of communication on a worldwide scale. We begin talking about terms as globalisation, integration and deregulation of the financial market. Companies have been tax planning for decades, the questions is if Internet has made an increase of companies than uses tax planning and which roll Internet plays. It is hard to really pinpoint all the effects of the Internet because of the relatively new area of research. Historiska stadsbyggnadsstrategier med fokus på hållbarhet eller grönska utgör utgångspunkten för framtagandet av en ny stadsbyggnadsstrategi som ska vara hållbar ur alla aspekter; både ur ett socialt, ekologiskt och ekonomiskt perspektiv. I kandidatuppsatsen undersöks möjligheterna att fortsätta förtäta staden och samtidigt behålla stadens parker och grönska. Stadsbyggnadsstrategin är döpt till Stad-i-park och är en utopisk vision som syftar till att förändra vårt sätt att leva och vilken funktion en stad ska fylla för att nå en hållbar utveckling. Detta uppnås i teorin genom att ersätta transporterna inom staden med framförallt spårbunden trafik, öka mötesplatserna i staden genom att föra in mer grönska och torg samt att förtäta staden då byggnader som tillhör dagens trafiksystem inte längre behövs. Förändringar i infrastrukturen ska inte påverka rörligheten utan staden ska även i fortsättningen vara tillgänglighetsanpassad vilket bl.a.

Denna kandidatuppsats behandlar sambandet mellan hållbar utveckling, spårväg och städers varumärke. Med utgångspunkt i europeisk planering har en fallstudie av städerna Montpellier och Malmö gjorts för att undersöka dagens ideal och de drivkrafter som ligger bakom byggandet av spårväg. I uppsatsen ges en kort översikts om trafikplaneringens historia för att få en förståelse varför läget ser ut som det gör idag. En genomgång och förklaring av begreppet hållbarhet görs också samt en undersökning kring marknadsföring av städer och begreppet ?place branding?. En analys av styrande dokument och information från kommunerna har gjorts för att ta reda hur de motiverar valet av spårvagnstrafik med fokus på hållbarhetsaspekterna. AbstractWe all have experience of dwelling, which means that everyone can have an opinion about the architecture of the dwelling. Today the building companies do not have time enough to investigate which architecture qualities their clientele ask for in their apartments. JM AB use to call their apartments ?generous city apartments?. But do these apartments fulfill the needs of their dwellers? And what would the apartments look like if they were designed according to the wishes of the dwellers? AbstractThis research is about how some swedish teachers in high school choose literature in schools. The purpose is to underline the reasons for how some teachers think about selection, canon, classic and contemporary literature. Two survey methods were used to find the answers, wich consisted of interviews and questionnaires. The letter methods was used to obtain informations about student´s views on literature.Previous research shows that there are different opinions in what kind of literature the pupils should read in school. The results of literature, questionnaires and interviews also showed that the underlying reasons for the choice of literature, varied among those interviewed further forward ofthe students also prefer to read books during lessons, and that they prefer reading books by popular contemporary writers..

The purpose of this study is to investigate and describe the role of course books for teaching English to children at intermediate level of primary school in Sweden. The essay is based on a descriptive, qualitative method and interviews have been conducted with seven teachers in different schools, teaching English in year 4, 5 and 6.The result of the study shows that course books have considerably influence on the teaching of English in the schools who took part in this investigation. The participating teachers use a course book as main teaching material and almost everybody follows the traditional routine working with Textbook and complementary tasks in Workbook every week. They base their lessons on course books and use alternative teaching material mainly for fun activities, speaking practice and individualization. Even though all teachers rank speaking and listening as most important for new learners, it is reading which has the largest impact on their teaching.

During my education I have frequently noticed that pupils do not like science or find it hard and dull. The purpose with this investigation is to find out how pupils experience their science education and if they can understand the arguments for studying the subject at school.I have made a questionnaire study among pupils in grade 8 and 9. After analyzing their answers I have interviewed some of the pupils to get answers on further questions.The investigation resulted in conclusion that pupils have hard to connect their science-education to their everyday lives. The most important element in forming the pupil?s opinions about science is their relation to the teacher and how the lessons are set-up.The following questions will be answered in this paper:Do pupils understand why they have science at school?Can the pupils see the use of scientific knowledge in their everyday life?How do pupils look upon their science education?.

The purpose of this study was to analyze and develop a workflow for assessing and representing the value of ecosystems to professionals involved in municipal planning. A thorough literature review was conducted and supplemented by interviews and observations. Frameworks for ecosystem service assessments were analyzed and combined with methods in urban planning in order to assess social and ecological conditions. A workflow was set up and methods were evaluated by applying them to a case study in the area Åstråket in Uppsala. Experience from the case study was compiled in order to improve the workflow.Complex assessments were identified and simplified for the method to be useful for practitioners.

In my composition, I have choosen to examine the question: What value does the diagnoses have for the teacher when it comes to organizing the work with children troubled by apprehensive disabilities?The method I used to examine my question was qualitative interview.The teachers? I have interviewed are either pre-schoolteachers or schoolteachers.Most of the teachers speak highly of using methods like Komet or SET in the work with the pupils troubled by deficits in their ability to concentrate.During my investigation, I have learned that the teachers think that methods like the above mentioned may help preventing some of the problems at school.Former research as well as the interviewed teachers are saying that rules and structure are very important when you are teaching children troubled by deficits in their ability to concentrate.The teachers are feeling just like me, a little bit insecure when it comes to the diagnoses and most of the time the diagnoses just confirm what the teacher already knows.My intention with this study was to aquire a deeper understanding of what it means to have concentration disabilities and to broaden my knowledge of what the teacher can do to ease the years at school for these children.Keywords: Concentration disabilities, teachers, diagnose, educational planning.
