AimThe aim of this study was to examine the views on bullying in the context of physical education among pupils studying at intermediate level through a gender perspective.The following questions where used in the examination.In what ways does the views on bullying differ between girls and boys?How is bullying manifested during classes in physical education?How do girls and boys experience cross-gender and same-gender bullying?MethodThe study is based upon a survey with questions of both quantitative and qualitative disposition. A total of 210 pupils from areas in and around Stockholm participated in the study, all studying at intermediate level. The participants consisted of 92 girls and 116 boys (two declined). The selection of participating schools where made out of convenience.

BackgroundPeople with psychiatric problems, despite efforts in recent decades still experience vulnerability. Patients with borderline personality disorder (BPD), where self-harm is common, often live in difficult and complex social relationships because of their illness. Additional knowledge and studies about mental illness, self-harm, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and the therapeutic alliance are needed.Purpose and MethodThis study aims to examine how staff perceive and describe: DBT as a treatment method; the therapeutic alliance and the importance it has for treatment. The study utilises a qualitative approach with a qualitative content analysis method and presents earlier research on DBT and the therapeutic alliance. The empirical material consists of focus group interviews comprising three DBT - teams.

The work related illness has increased and instead of focusing on what?s causing it more and more efforts are put on trying to find the health factors within and outside the work environment. During the past years the term ?long-term health? has arisen; instead of focusing on the number of employees on the sick-list, the focus should be put on the number of employees that has a record of long-term health within an organization, i.e. health-presence.

The purpose of the study was based on scientific literature to describe the quality of life of persons who have undergone a total hip replacement. The method was a descriptive literature review. The results showed that pain was the most obvious change after surgery. Mild pain before surgery was strongly associated with mild pain after surgery. But despite less pain were experienced early, it took 1 year to achieve the full benefits of improved physical function.

This essay aims to examine how safety is reflected in local plans. This was done by describing the physical environments, which are addressed in the local plans and its impact on safety. It has also been undertaken to see if certain physical environments with respect to safety have been addressed differently.The paper is made with the qualitative method Thematic analysis. The method is used to analyze the three local plans that have been available during the essay. The analysis was done with my created themes Traffic separation, Accessibility, High vision, Light and bright and Human presence.The results have shown that the local plans takes up physical environments that are good for safety.

Background:Public health is a concern of many important areas of society and it`s important that Sweden works with the health of the individual through the eleven public health areas. Health isn`t longer only a objective but even a resource. That`s why the society works with the health of the individual through a salutogenic perspective, about what can preserve or enhance the health of the individual.Aim:The aim of this study is to find out what the staff at a nursing home has views of what health can bring, and also study how health affects their ability to work. Also to study the employee`s apprehension of the wellness reimbursement that employer offers them.Material and Method:A qualitative method was used to obtain results from eight interviews with health care workers in Skåne. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed using content analysis.Results:For the interview person?s health means to feel good and be healthy.

The aim was to study the factors that contributed to the prescription of physical activity on prescription (PaP) by the professions in primary healthcare. A qualitative method was used in the study. The sample consisted of six participants; two doctors, two physiotherapists and two district nurses in primary healthcare in Uppsala County. The data were collected with semi-structured interviews and were analyzed with a thematic approach. The results show a great variety in which type of patient that receive PaP, however people with lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity are often more represented.

Isberg, A. & Lidén, S. (2008). KASAM- livsfrågeformulär som intervention vid psykisk ohälsa. Högskolan i Gävle; Institutionen för pedagogik, didaktik och psykologi. Tidigare studier visar samband mellan KASAM, Känsla av sammanhang och människors upplevda hälsa.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka på vilka sätt företag i Halmstads kommun arbetar hälsofrämjande. En enkätstudie gjordes på stora och medelstora företag i Halmstads kommun. Den ansvarige för hälsa och arbetsmiljö besvarade enkäten. Resultatet visade att av 34 företag satsade 31 stycken på friskvårdsbidrag, 23 stycken på ergonomiska åtgärder och 21 stycken på företagshälsovård, dessa var de främsta åtgärderna. Konsekvenser som lägre sjukfrånvaro och bättre hälsa gick att avläsa på flera företag.

Denna studie syftar till att öka förståelsen för hur boendestödjarna beskriver sitt vardagsarbete med brukarnas återhämtning på två boenden med särskild service inom Socialpsykiatriska utförarenheten i Skärholmens Stadsdelsförvaltning. Vi har intervjuat åtta boendestödjare. Valet av respondenter har gjorts utifrån ett kvoturval, fyra boendestödjare från Frösätra samt fyra från Solholmen. Vi har gjort semi-strukturerade intervjuer med samtliga boendestödjarna och utformat en intervjuguide. Intervjuguiden berör fenomen hur personalen på boendena beskriver begreppet återhämtning, hur de arbetar med återhämtning, hur återhämtning nås samt hur personal beskriver sin roll.

Sport is the biggest movement in Sweden and among youth is seen as the most important and one of the most prestigious leisure-time activities. Riksidrottsförbundet (RF) is the main organization of the Swedish sport movement. It receives funding from the government in order to represent and develop the Swedish sports clubs. The government?s choice to support sport within RF happens at the expense of other sports, for example skateboarding.

Background: Each year approximately 30 000 people suffer from stroke in Sweden, often with substantial mental and physical consequences. Those who suffered from stroke handled the situation by mourning what they had lost and by accepting their changed body and life situation. For those who provide care for people who has suffered a stroke help and support was required. The caring science perspective was based upon caring and suffering. Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe family caregivers? experiences of caring for persons who had suffered a stroke.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka möjligheten till att ta kontroll över min nervositet och atteffektivisera min instudering av Intrada av Arthur Honegger.Bakgrunden är att jag alltid har varit intresserad av att lära mig nya saker och vad jag har velat meddetta arbete är att utveckla min kompetens som trumpetare och det har jag gjort genom mentalträning. Samtidigt som jag har utnyttjat mental träning för att bli mer mottaglig för inlärning så harjag tränat mig i att hantera nervositet. Allt detta har jag gjort för att bli en bättre trumpetare.Min metod har varit att jag läst litteratur om minnesträning, mental förberedelse och ens egeninställning till att utvecklas inom ett område. Jag har sedan använt mig av övningar som jag hittat iböckerna, antingen som de är eller så har jag ändrat på dem för att passa mig och mitt syfte bättre.Arbetets konstnärliga del presenterades i form av en inspelning där jag spelar Intrada utanackompanjemang och jag valde att göra inspelningen utan ackompanjatör för att visa på hur minvardagliga övningssituation såg ut. Det ger dessutom en väldigt naken bild av hur jag spelat och detär lätt för åhöraren att höra vad som har fungerat bra och vad som jag inte har lyckats med.

This study is an assignment from Västerbottens läns landsting (VLL). The study?s main objective is to examine physical exercise habits and the most common motives for exercise among employees at VLL. It also compares educational status and gender differences to see if there is any significant dissimilarity regarding motives. The study is a quantitative study that used an electronic questionnaire to collect data from the respondents.

People with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse are an especially vulnerable group in society as health care for those is shared between municipality and county council. There is an associated health need of this target group so the interaction of the social services and the psychiatric care is of great importance. However, there are shortcomings in this interaction with results in that people with dual diagnosis do not always receive adequate care. Diverse knowledge and explanatory models may create problems for the interaction as they include different ways to define, understand, explain and deal with a problem. The purpose of this study was to examine how the interaction between the social service addiction treatment and the psychiatric care is, concerning people with dual diagnosis, focusing on how their respective knowledge and explanatory models affect the interaction.
