In the global and rapidly changing society Environmental scanning is becoming a more and more important tool. Today it is not the availability of information that controls an organizations behavior, but the information that the organization chooses to absorb. This is the case for a multinational cooperation as well as for the local golf club. Swedish golf clubs have during the last 100 years had an amazing development and today there are almost 600 000 registered Swedish golf players. The development has however stopped and even declined some during the last couple of years.

Det pågår en ständig debatt mellan olika parter i samhället angående betesskador orsakade av klövvilt. Huvudmålet med dagens viltförvaltning är att anpassa klövviltstammarna efter fodertillgången i landskapet. Syftet med studien var därför att kvantifiera fodermängden för klövvilt i skogslandskapet, undersöka hur olika skötselåtgärder påverkar foderutbudet och analysera kostaderna för dessa. Studien begränsades till ett sammanhängande område i Holmen Skogs distrikt Egen skog. Med hjälp av beslutsstödsprogrammet Heureka PlanVis har foderutfallet för ett antal olika foderskapande skötselåtgärder tagits fram. I de flesta simuleringar var målet att maximera nuvärdet, men det alternativ som skapade absolut mest foder var när målet istället sattes till att maximera biomassan i skogslandskapet.

Most of the portable electronic devices use a battery as a primary power source. Nowadays, when the applications are becoming smaller and smaller and more power efficient, the designer needs to concentrate more on reducing power consumption, using secondary power sources and introducing power storage devices. Multiple power source availability and a power storage device on the board will make the applications much more useful and efficient in everyday use. This thesis proposes a power supply unit (PSU) for wireless sensor platforms which is capable of supplying a sensor node with energy from multiple sources, as well as status information from the PSU. Present power storage devices, like electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) and batteries, have become more and more common as their characteristics have developed.

It is well established what happens if you drink alcohol before a workout or if you workout the day after an alcohol intake, but it is less well established how muscle gain and recovery are affected by an intake of alcohol in the phase of recovery.Objective: The objective of this review is to investigate if there is a relation between alcohol intake after a workout and effected recovery and muscle gain. This was performed by measuring the outcomes cortisol, testosterone, creatine kinase as well as different measures of muscle strength. The issue was ?Does an intake of alcohol after training affect recovery and muscle gain??Search strategy: A systematic review in the databases PubMed and Scopus with the MeSH-terms: exercise, muscles, recovery of function, training, athletic performance, performance, sport, alcohol drinking, alcohols, alcohol and ethanol.Selection criteria: Criteria for articles to be included in this review were that they would be RCT- and human studies in healthy subjects as well as containing an ethanol intake after a physical activity that consisted of weight training in the form of resistance training or other forms of activity that promotes strength.Data collection and analysis: A systematic search for literature as mentioned above (search strategy) was performed as well as an analysis with the SBU quality review template for randomized studies, and a quality review for each measure of outcome according to Gothenburg University summarized evidence template for measures of outcome.4Main results: Many studies are authored by the same group of researchers and/or are of a lower quality.

The aim of this study is to observe Swedish preschool children in their natural habitat and without any intervention. Four different observations are made and thereafter analyzed. Throughout the whole study the subject of interest is the children's communication in their play. Children can communicate with each other in various ways, for instance with speech and without speech, i.e. with their physical language, aesthetic and multi language.

Kartläggning av aktivitetsmönstret hos kvinnor med långvarig smärta ger kunskap om vilka aktiviteter individerna fyller sin dag med och var dessa utförs. I denna pilotstudie medverkade tre kvinnor med långvarig smärta som stått i kö till interdisciplinärt smärtrehabiliteringsprogram i ett år eller mer. Datainsamling utfördes med en aktivitetslogg under två dygn samt ett egenhändigt utformat frågeformulär med kompletterande uppgifter angående livssituation. Denna pilotstudie på tre individer visade likheter avseende aktivitetskategorin vård och att de flesta aktiviteter utfördes i hemmet. The Swedish way to organize sport has a long tradition and the parents play an important role in ways to organize sport. Without the thousands of adults who voluntary work the sport associations would have problems to survive. However, there are tendencies to that commitment is reduced, which means that the activity is exposed. The purpose of this study was to examine parents opinions about a nonprofit children´s sport respective professional children´s sport. The study was based on questionnaires which were distributed to 83 parents in four different sports; equestrian sport, track and field sports, ice hockey and soccer.

Målsättningen med detta arbete är att ta fram en metod för att kartera och analysera den rumsliga variationen av landskapets sårbarhet för miljögifter, samt att visa hur geografiska informationssystem (GIS) kan underlätta denna rumsliga kartering och analys. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka tillgängligheten och användbarheten för barn i rullstol, på olika lekplatser i Lunds kommun. Fyra olika bedömningsinstrument/manualer användes för att bedöma tillgängligheten och användbarheten (Housing Enabler, egenkonstruerad checklista, egenkonstruerad intervjuguide och egenkonstruerad observationsmanual). Resultatet visade att lekplatser i Lunds kommun är långt ifrån så handikappanpassade som en anställd vid Lunds stadsbyggnadskontor påstod att de var. Majoriteten var heller inte tillgängliga och användbara, vilket delvis berodde på miljöns utformning, men också på ett barns funktionshinder.

But today the profession has low status and hard to survive. How can the interest for farming be increased?Gotlandsgården is an investigation about how the agriculture could develop.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka familjehemsföräldrars upplevelser av stödet de fick från en kommuns socialtjänst. Centrala frågor bestod utav hur familjehemsföräldrarna upplevde tillgängligheten av stödet och det emotionella stödet de fick från socialtjänsten samt hur stödet från socialtjänsten upplevdes i kontakt med den placerades nätverk. I studien har tio familjehemsföräldrar från fem familjehem i en mindre kommun i mellansverige intervjuats om deras upplevelser av stödet de får från socialtjänsten. Det är en kvalitativ studie som utgår ifrån utvecklingsekologisk teori samt systemteori. Studiens resultat visade att familjehemsföräldrarna var nöjda med stödet de fick från socialtjänsten i form av telefonsamtal och besök, och för ett av familjehemsparen även via e-post.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the law regarding gross violations of women and its application in the Swedish legal system. We have investigated how the legal system takes into account a holistic perspective of the vulnerable situation of women in the investigation and assessment and the extent to which psychological violence in the form of verbal abuse, threats and harassment attention. We also wanted to find out how the law's design may contribute to difficulties in the implementation and interpretation of it. In this study, we used a qualitative research approach when we decided to conduct an interview with a police officer and a textual analysis of four cases from the district court. Interview questions were semi-structured in order to gain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon.

Study objectives:Examine ambulance personnel?s perceptions of skills / training and knowledge with regards to the existing mechanical / manual compressions and frequency of training during a work shift. Do ambulance personnel think that mechanical compressions increase survival? Are there concerns that the device could damage the patient?Design: A cross-sectional study, quantitative approach with qualitative elements was conducted.Methods:Questionnaire form, which was answered by 44 ambulance personnel in an ambulance organisation in Sweden. Participants were on a scale of 1-5 to select how they agree with the claims of the study form and also submit their own comments.

Stress i arbetslivet har blivit ett allt mer aktuellt ämne genom dess påverkan i dagens samhälle. Forskningen visar att en stor del av stressen i vardagen uppstår i samband med avlönat arbete. Arbetstagare i positionen som mellanchef i offentliga organisationer bär på en viktig roll för att hantera krav mellan ledningen och de anställda. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka faktorer som påverkar stressupplevelsen hos mellanchefer i offentligt verksamhet. I undersökningen har vi använt oss av Karaseks krav-och kontrollmodell, det sociala stödet i arbetet, tillgänglighet samt stress som teoretiskt ram.

The purpose of this study was to create an environment that stimulates children?s communication via language in a preschool called ?The Flower?. The environment should encourage and challenge the children to interact and communicate more with each other. That in turn will further the children?s language acquisition.
