Suicide is the ultimate outcome of mental illness and is a big and serious problem in society. About 1500 Persons commit every year suicide in Sweden and many more engage in suicidal behaviour. This review aims at, from research studies from the 21th century, find out the knowledge of riskfactors regarding the risk for committing suicide among adolescents. The research questions are: What does research say, from a psychobiological perspective, about riskfactors among adolescents regarding the risk for suicidal behaviour? How much does genetic factors have an effect on the risk for suicidal behaviour among adolescents? and : What is the importance of environmental factors such as family connections, friends and school environment concerning suicidal thoughts among adolescents?The method that is used in order to answer these questions is a researchreview including ten research-studies.

The questions asked were designed to help answering thepurpose of the study.Main results: This study shows that in general there is a positive view of Internet datingamong both groups. They appreciate the opportunities it provides, as they get to knowthe other Persons personality first. Even so, it should be noted that they still tend to be abit ashamed to talk about Internet dating, and some don?t want to be associated with it.The communication pattern tend to be pretty much the same among both groups.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how male and female stereotypes are used to describe the characters in modern detective stories for children. We have analyzed six books in the aforementioned genre written for children between the ages of 9 and 12. This essay examines which inner qualities, appearances, activities and professions are used to describe the Persons? character in the analyzed books and if these stereotypes agree with the person?s biological sex.

In 1993 Sweden introduced a new Forest policy, with a larger freedom of action for the forest owners, but in the same time the forest owners are expected to take greater consideration of the forests and the environment, that is required by the law. This is necessary to be able to obtain the goals of the new policy. Therefore the demand for competence and guidance is larger than before. At the same period of time organisations where slimmed and trimmed during a economic recession and the question is how this has affected the number of employees on different levels in the organisations, the competence of the employees and their internal education and if these changes affects the possibility of implementing the forest policy. This study contains three points in time where measures were made, 1990, 1995 and 2000.

Integration projects at two libraries: multiculture, meetings and possibilities takes its start in the fact that Sweden is populated with people from many different nations. The libraries have a unique possibility to arrange integration projects as a supplier of culture and information. This case study focuses on two integration projects arranged by two libraries; the library of Jönköping with the project Brobyggarbiblioteken, and the library of Kortedala which was involved in the project Ordbron. My purpose is to find out how these two libraries chose to work with integration, migrants and multiculture. The aim is to examine if the library could function as a passway to the Swedish society, and to find out if the library can facilitate for migrants to maintain contact with their native country.

This essay has a purpose to understand and investigate how disabled people, where the handicap imply difficulty to speak for one self, get the rights of self-determination and influence satisfied. Our purpose with this essay is to focus on how representatives from organizations, trustees and Support and Service for Persons with Certain functional Impairments- officials(abbreviated LSS after the Swedish title of the Act lag om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade), describe and discuss matters concerning the individuals? opinions and requests from within their respective position. We will with this as a base analyze how these three parties facilitate and meet the individuals? influence and self-determination.

Självmord är en av de vanligaste dödsorsakerna i Sverige. Personer som begått självmord lämnar efter sig närstående med en stor sorg. Syftet med studien var att undersöka huruvida närstående till personer som begått självmord får det stöd som de önskar.Studien är baserad på en kvantitativ metod genom ett webb-baserat frågeformulär med 66 deltagare. Urvalet utgår ifrån en kontakt med en ansvarig för anhörigorganisationen SPES (Riksförbundet för SuicidPrevention och Efterlevandes Stöd). Resultatet analyserades sedan med en kvantitativ deskriptiv statistik och kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

The communicator has a professional role which is relatively unspecified and hard to define. To work with communication can mean several different tasks, who also might vary between different types of organizations. The purpose with our study is to clarify the professional title communicator and its meaning. By applying a power perspective on the communicators experienced professional role in meaning to find out who has the power over the communication.     Our study is made of qualitative interviews with four professional communicators working in private organizations. We have used semi structured interviews in our study which means that we before we went through with the interviews defined themes which the interviews were built upon.

Att skriva mål och att bryta ner detta till mindre delmål för att sedan ta små steg framåt har en betydande roll i en Persons arbetslust. Handlingskraft visar sig genom både inre och yttre motivation där den inre påverkar den personliga nyttan och användandet av kunskapen i framtiden. Den yttre visar sig genom den fysiska miljön exempelvis belöning och resultat. Bakgrunden till utvecklingsarbetet var att förbättra arbetssättet med Kreativa Gymnasiet LBS:s egna kunskapsmålmatriser vilket är förenat med den yttre motivationen och målsättningsteorin. För att förankra motivationen till kunskapsmålmatriserna har frågor använts: Vart befinner jag mig? Vad är mitt mål? Vad är nästa steg? Syftet var att med hjälp av kunskapsmålsmatriser synliggöra för elever var de befinner sig i en kurs och vart de är på väg och därigenom öka deras motivation.

Work has a great influence on most of individuals in society. It influences both identity as well as the structure of the day. Unemployed people are often affected in a negative way through economic and psychological problems. In order to help people with reduced work capacity back to the labour market and decrease unemployment, the Labour Market Board works with vocational rehabilitation. The aim of this study is to investigate experiences of vocational rehabilitation within the Labour Market Board among unemployed people.

It was a discribing work of the current status of the gardenand the summer-house of Vargaslätten. Vargaslätten ? tillägnad naturen was acomprehensive work with a detalied inventory of all the plants, the buildings, the descriptionof the surroundings and the history.

Att finna korrelat till våld har länge rönt stort intresse inom den forensiska psykologin, inte minst med ambitionen att kunna predicera en Persons framtida våldsamhet. I denna studie undersöks hur tretton variabler inom de fyra kategorierna substansbruk, impulsivitet, anknytning och upplevt socialt nät korrelerar med tidigare registrerad våldskriminalitet hos två grupper: personer inom kriminalvårdens frivård respektive rättspsykiatrins öppenvård. Signifikanta korrelationer återfanns mellan den tidigare våldsbrottsligheten och två av variablerna inom anknytning, en av variablerna inom impulsivitet och en av variablerna inom socialt nät. Inga signifikanta korrelationer återfanns mellan våldskriminalitet och substansbruk. De båda grupperna skilde sig åt i fråga om hur korrelationerna fördelade sig, såtillvida att för frivårdens klienter korrelerade enbart en av variablerna i kategorin socialt nät med våldskriminaliteten.

On the 15th of May 2011 the former leader of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, was accused of sexually assaulting a maid in a hotel room in New York. Strauss-Kahn was cleared of all charges on the 23rd of August 2011 since it could not be proven that he had forced the maid to have sexual relations with him.The purpose of this study is to examine how the case was framed in two Swedish newspapers, Svenska Dagbladet and Aftonbladet. Svenska Dagbladet is a broadsheet newspaper and Aftonbladet is a tabloid newspaper. The purpose of this study is also to find differences and similarities in the framing of the case in broadsheet newspapers and tabloid newspapers.The study is primarily based on two different theories; the framing theory and the tabloidization theory. The method used is critical discourse analysis based on van Dijks theories and methods.

This essay aimed to give a basis for the departement of social work in Lund in its task to recruit students from underrepresented parts of the population to the departement and to the university by presenting which social groups are underrepresentated. The research also aimed to give an explanation of how the backgrounds of the student´s have influenced them and lead them to undertake studies of social work. The main questions were: - What background do the students at the departement of social work have as seen from the variables; sex, age, national background, class, parents' educational level, society of childhood and direction of upper secondary school? - How can the background of the students at the departement of social work be explaned by the theories of Pierre Bourdieu? The research was performed with a quantative method based on a questionnaire. The data received by the questionnaire were compared with data of the general students population and of the population of Sweden at large.

Humor är något som varit viktigt för människan genom historien. Den för med sig välbefinnande och välmående. Upplevelsen av humor är ofta förknippat med en Persons livserfarenheter och uppväxt. I en vårdrelation där det råder obalans i makten är det speciellt viktigt att tänka på hur man skämtar, samt om vad man skämtar med patienten. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva hur humor används och dess betydelse på arbetsplatsen mellan vårdpersonal samt i omvårdnadssituationer mellan sjuksköterskor och patienter.
