Participation is central to the concept of democracy. The role of the civic participation varies with different types of democracy, but a fundamental requirement is that the participation is free and equal. In spite of this, there are significant differences between possibilities to democratic participation in Sweden today.This essay seeks to understand how disability, historically and still today, is constructed as a social deviation from normality, and is constructed to Otherness.One way to regard freedom and equality is to examine the personal autonomy, the legth to wich a person decides her/his roles and activities in abcence of external limitations. Personal autonomy is theoretically central in deliberative and strong democracy, but should reasonobly be a demand for the fundamental definition of democracy.The explanation to why the lack of personal autonomy is accepted, is that the construction of Otherness results in that the persons are categorized and are given simplified characteristics, and are thereby not accepted as equivalent people.In the inteviews conducted, seven politicians contribute both whiteness, pathological discourses regarding disability and ideas of normality through discussing democracy, participation and disability. Simultaniously, they express interest and an awareness on the majority's power and symbolic violence on the minority..

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The aim of this paper is to find out how the company Japanporten can improve their communication through their website. I want to find possible weaknesses in the communication style, and suggest solutions to those. All for the purpose of managing to create understanding and interest to fulfil the purpose and goal for the communication.Material/Method: I have used a qualitative research method, where I have interviewed the manager of Japanporten and made an contents analysis of their website.Main results: Japanporten supplies good functions on their website. The have a clear purpose and explain who they are and what the can do for the visitor. The main weakness is the argumentation to create and keep an interest from the visitor.

The purpose with our essay was:-          To study how personal assistants understand their occupation role.-          To describe the attitude of personal assistants to the right of self-determination of their care receivers. We have used a qualitative research method called phenomenografic. The empirical material was based on four interviews that served as the data collection methods. The interviewees were four women from two different municipalities of Middle Sweden. The interviewed personal assistants work with adult people who have mental disabilities. As a result we came up with eight categories which showed that personal assistants, despite some difficulties, perceive their careers as crucial for society?s well being. The phenomenon of self-determination was much easier to describe than to put to practice.

The aim of this study was to investigate how four middle school teachers use and process the contents in read-aloud books, to stimulate the pupils interest in reading and increase reading comprehension. A qualitative approach was used to collect data, through interviews and observations. The findings show that all of the teachers work with read-aloud books regularly. The teachers state that read-aloud books have a positive effect on pupils language, vocabulary, reading comprehension, imagination and ability to reflect. The teachers have three distinctive purposes with read aloud-books, a moment of relaxation, create an interest in books and increase the pupils reading comprehension.

The purpose of this thesis was to study the importance of an artist?s personal brand from a record company and artist management perspective. We also aimed to investigate how these companies work to create and maintain an artist?s personal brand. The study conducted was a case study based on interviews with staff members of a major record company, Universal Music AB, and an artist management, United Stage Management Group AB.

The aim of the study was to examine collaboration and professional perspectives on the best interest of the child in regards to working with unaccompanied asylum seeking children. Firstly, our result show that counselling is available for the unaccompanied children from case workers, staff, school counsellors and emergency psychiatric care. All of the participants in this study describe the need for long-term counselling for unaccompanied children, however, providing the long-term counselling is not the primary purpose of the organisations in question. Therefore an additional service-provider working with counselling is a necessity. Secondly, the study explores the participants? professional perspectives on the best interest of the child.

Background: Many different parties in the society are affected by the financial information delivered by the companies. Therefore, different interests want their ideas to have an impact on the accountning standards. The construction of the accounting standards are illustrated as a pure political process, where lobbying and conflicts of interest are determining factors. Utifrån undersökningens resultat ges Arena Personal enfördjupad inblick i de områden som upplevs som bra och i de områdensom upplevs som sämre samt svar på varför kunderna inte använderrekrytering i samma utsträckning som bemanning.TillvägagångssättIntervjuer med fyra av Arena Personals kunder genomfördes ochsammanställdes för att få en bild av hur de uppfattade Arena Personal.Resultatet av de viktigaste positiva och negativa aspekterna av ArenaPersonal presenterades utifrån de fyra områden som undersökningenutgick ifrån.

Riskkapitalbranschen har varit etablerad i Sverige sedan 1980-talet, trots det finns det idag inget regelverk som specifikt reglerar denna verksamhet. Sedan år 2007 har Skatteverket bedrivit djupgående utredningar av bolag verksamma inom riskkapitalbranschen. För PLA-innehavare och key executives anser vi att beskattningen av carried interest ska ske i inkomstlaget kapital. Vi anser ej att den eventuella arbetsinsatsen utförd av PLA-innehavare har en sådan koppling till värdeökning i fonden att inkomstslaget tjänst ska vara tillämpligt. Detta har att göra med att GP-bolagets beslutanderätt i fondens förvaltning samt det finns omvärldsfaktorer som påverkar fondens värdeförändring.Vidare anser vi att carried interest ska beskattas hos PLA-innehavarna och key executives, inte hos rådgivningsbolaget. Av fondstrukturen framgår det tydligt att rådgivningsbolaget är skilt från GP-bolaget och förvaltningen av en venture capital-fond. Carried interest finns endast avtalat i det avtal som PLA-innehavarna har ingått med ILP-bolaget.

The thesis contains mainly personal experiences relating to classical piano improvisation, based on the CD record Härlig är jorden, Piano improvisations in Various Classical Styles. Sex classics: Mozart, Stravinsky, Bartók, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt play the main roles in that record.The idea is (apart from aiming at stimulationg the styles as faithfully as possible) to look at the various classical styles as different musical rooms created by the composers for us to enter and use. It is also a personal pedagogical goal to structure my ideas, including formulating the strongest possible requirements on the quality of my improvisations. A leading theme manifesting itself in different quises (depending on the style used) is not only a means for improving quality further. The audience has shown a great interest in this form.

This thesis deals with questions about competences and qualities that librarians inpublic libraries find that they need to be qualified suppliers of literature (books andmagazines).Our aim is to problematize the competence of the profession in relation to promotingliterature, knowledge in literature and reading habits. We want to know what librariansthemselves think about their own competences when it comes to supplying andpromoting literature. Does it have to be a leisure interest or do they get the possibility toread during working hours?What do librarians think it means to be a qualified promotor of literature and how dothey acquire the right competence? Do they believe that their competence correspondswith the occupational requirements? How much of their knowledge about literature andpromoting literature comes from Personal interest and commitment?We primarily used the theories about competence by Per-Erik Ellström. One of thetheories is the one of implicit and explicit knowledge.

This study aims to research how digital media can be used for communication and information management between teachers at preschools and children?s homes. To get an understanding of this we have investigated which channels are being used and for what purposes. The interest has also been to explore preschool teachers and caregivers? attitudes towards digital communication in preschools.A qualitative case study of comparative nature has been conducted, where two preschools were selected because of their use and non-use of digital media for communication with caregivers.
