The aim of this thesis is to fill a knowledge gap regarding how online players use libraries, their attitude towards libraries and what they want out of future libraries. We see it as a problem that the library world of today does not have much knowledge about an audience that is so prevalent in society.The theory used in the thesis is Henrik Jochumsen, Casper Rasmussen Hvenegaard & Dorte Skot-Hansens model that divides libraries into four functions. The four functions are meetings, knowledge, inspiration and experiences. In the analysis we added a suggested fifth function, a digital space, giving the digital interaction and information needs of today´s society. The method was focus groups on online forums for gamers.
Motivation och välbefinnande på arbetsplatsen : En studie kring hur rektorer i kommunala grundskolan uppfattar att de motiverar sin personal och skapar välbefinnande på arbetsplatsen.

Data analyserades genom en kvalitativ inneha?llsanalys.
"Att leva som andra" - om normalisering och den personliga assistentens roll i den funktionshindrades sexliv
The purpose of this essay was to investigate the view of what kind of role the personal assistant has in disabled people´s life and sexlife and how conceptions of a "normal" life and "to live like others" can be identified related to this. My research questions was: What does the expression "to live like others" mean to the organisations? What is the view in the organisations of the personal assistant´s role in the client´s life? What is the view in the organisations of the personal assistant´s role in the client´s sexlife? What is the view in the organisations of disabled people´s rights to get assisted help with sex? I chose to do semistructured interviews with different organisations related to disability and assistance and I analysed the interviews with theoretical aspects of social constructivism, the principle of normalization and the theory of SRV (Social Role Valorization), autonomy, individualism and models of action. My main conclusion were that the views of disabled people´s sexuality and the personal assistant´s role in disabled people´s sexlife were widely separate. However, almost all of the organisations were pointing out the autonomy of the individual and the importance of setting the limits.

This Bachelor?s thesis is related to the area within library and information studies that focuses on information seeking and information practices. The study deals with how politically engaged young people seek information in relation to their political interests. The purpose of the study is to create an understanding of the roles that different forms of information-related activities play within the framework of political interest and of the feelings, experiences and challenges that such activities may give rise to for those involved. The study also discusses purposes and motivation for information seeking and use in political engagement.

The purpose of this study was to examine domestic adoptions in Sweden, and also compare the Swedish adoption system to the Canadian adoption system. I wanted to find out why there are so few domestic adoptions in Sweden, and how it has changed over the years. I also wanted to know why there is such a large difference between Sweden and Canada regarding adoptions.I interviewed five social workers to find out what attitudes the social services have regarding adoptions. My other questions were how the childs best interest is considered when a parent wants to place a child in an adoptivefamily, and which parents decide to place their child instead of keeping it.I found that the social services are reluctant to place children in adoptivefamilies because their main goal is to keep biological families intact. In Canada the social services goal is to provide the child with a safe and stable home.There is no longer any stigma surrounding single mothers and well developed welfaresystems enable most to keep their children.
Verksamhetsförändring : Sociologiska perspektiv på implementeringen av barnkonventionen inom BVC
This study aims to create an understanding of how employees relate to directives that come from a level above them in the hierarchy and is to be implemented in their working activities. This is studied by examining a case where a work group has tried to implement orders, given to them by the government and through a work group in the level above them in the organizations, concerning how employees working with child health care is to educate parents regarding the child convention. The method that have been use in this study is group interviews with 19 child health care nurses and the two main questions that are asked is why has it been difficult to implement the orders and how have the child health care nurses expressed their resistance to the changes, this since only five of the nurses had begun working with the child convention. The theories that have been used focus on how resistance towards change is expressed, organizational incapability and reluctance towards change, as well as how grass root bureaucrats relates to change. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that it is important to let the concerned parties participate from the beginning of the process, to minimize their reluctance to the changing process.
Medborgarinflytande, former och verkan : En studie av motståndet mot etableringen av ett ungdomshem i Kristinehamn 2005-2007
Abstract"Citizen Influence, Forms and Effects - A study of the Resistance Concerning the Establishment of a Juvenile Detention Center in Kristinehamn 2005-2007"Political Science, Johan Utter This essay circles around the concepts of citizenship and the questions if and how citizens in the modern democracy can influence and effect the political decisions made by the governing body on the local level. This is done by the means of a case-study concerning the establishment of an institutional facility for convicted youths in Kristinehamn. The planning of this facility and especially its planned location in Sunneberg aroused a significant negative response from the citizens, demanding a better alternative for the location.The proposition resulted in heavy protests from the citizens as the planned location was viewed as an important recreation area, where the citizens could experience nature first hand, close to the centre of town. As a result, some citizens living close to the planned location, formed a network called "Bevara Sunneberg", whose purpose was to influence the decision-makers and make the citizen?s voices heard.
Den psykosociala arbetsmiljön utifrån modellen; krav, kontroll och socialt stöd : En jämförande studie mellan personal på offentligt och privat äldreboende
Studier har visat att äldre personer i behov av vård ökar vilket kan leda till att vårdpersonalen upplever högre krav. Detta kan i sin tur resultera i arbetsrelaterad stress och ohälsa hos personalen. Utifrån Robert Karasek och Töres Theorells modell om krav, kontroll och socialt stöd kan man undersöka hur den psykosociala arbetsmiljön upplevs på en arbetsplats. Enkäter delades ut i samarbete med enhetschefer på de båda äldreboendena. 40 undersökningsdeltagare ingick i studien.
e-Rekrytering : -det nya vapnet i kriget om kompetent personal
Bakgrund: Förmågan att attrahera kompetent personal har blivit allt viktigare på de konkurrentutsatta arbetsmarknaderna. Ett sätt att marknadsföra företag som arbetsgivare och därmed locka till sig arbetskraft är genom användningen av företagets egen webbsida.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva hur ett företag använder den egna webbsidan för att tillgodose behovet av att attrahera kompetent personal. Vidare beskrivs marknadsföringens roll i denna process.Teori: Uppsatsen bygger på teorier kring attraktionsfasen i rekrytering, kopplingen mellan marknadsföring och rekrytering, viktiga aspekter i skapandet av virtuella rekryteringsmiljöer samt teorier kring kvantitet och kvalitet i kandidatbasen.Metod: Uppsatsens empiriska undersökning baserar på en kvalitativ ansats. Tre intervjuer har genomförts hos Fazer i Finland.Slutsats: Det huvudsakliga sättet Fazer använder den egna webbsidan för rekrytering är i form av rekryteringsportalen ?Gott arbete ger mersmak?.
Omedelbart omhändertagande : En studie om interimistiska beslut inom LVU med hänsyn till barnets bästa
This study analyzes the court of appeals work on judging immediate care (6 § LVU) by the child´s best from 10 court cases. This study has been reviewing 10 court cases and reviewing the court of appeals applicable laws in their decisions on interlocutory order within LVU. The material than have been analyzed consists of immediate care of children, and the concept of the best interests derived from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.The legal sanctions includes when a state signs a convention, which Sweden has. This means that Sweden is at their disposal to offer all children within its territorial limits, up to 18 years may take part of the rights set down in the Convention of the Rights of the Child. This means that all decisions relating to the individual child, should always be taken with respect to the best interest of the child, when a child for varoius reasons end up in a lawsiut.The concept of the best interest of the child are vague and abstract because it is not clearly defined.
Betydelsen av handledning för personal som arbetar med personer med demens
Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka vilken betydelse handledning har för personal som arbetar med personer med demens. Handledningens syfte och mål är riktade till både personal och vårdtagare och det övergripande målet är att den ska främja den enskilda människan som söker vård och omsorg. Tanken med handledning är även att den som blir handledd ska ta med sig det man tagit del av till sitt yrkesutövande. Handledning är ett sätt att ge personalen den bekräftelse de saknar, och att de skulle få stöd och utbildning vid handledning. Personalen som medverkade i studien beskriver att betydelsen av att få handledning innebär en trygghet att veta att de kan få hjälp, när de stöter på problem som de inte klarar av.
Söka eller browsa? : En undersökning om personliga mönster i sökbeteendet vid informationssökning på nätet
This Master's thesis in Library and Information Science aims to explore if personal patterns can be detected in web-searching. It is based on a study where the search sessions of nine test persons were video-recorded, transcribed into logs and analysed.A major objective was to find out whether there is a correlation between individual searchers' personal attributes and their web search behaviour. The logs were therefore compared with the test persons' results in a learning style test (Kolb's Learning Style Inventory) and with interview answers about information behaviour and personal background.While several patterns were indeed discovered, none of them turned out to be strictly personal. The nine test persons could be divided into five types of searchers: the purely analytic searcher; the generally analytic searcher; the balanced searcher; the mixed searcher and the browser. All types of searchers were found to have the attribute learning style in common.

After this I looked for different theories that I could use for my study and settled with the KASAM theory by Aaron Antonovsky. The method applied in this study was a qualitative interview method. The aim was to find out how teachers work to motivate their students to be physically active and wanting to participate in PE classes.
Kartläggning av kompetens bland personal som arbetar med funktionshindrade barn och ungdomar
Syftet med undersökningen har varit att göra en kartläggning av kompetensen bland
personal som arbetar med funktionshindrade barn och ungdomar i en vald kommuns
LSS verksamhet. Hur ser personal på sin kompetens, på sina utvecklingsmöjligheter på
arbetsplatsen och i yrket, hur de ser på sin nuvarande arbetssituation, samt hur deras
tillgång till handledning ser ut. Med hjälp av en enkätundersökning har jag fått fram
vilken grundutbildning personalen har, hur de upplever sina möjligheter att utvecklas
inom vård och omsorgsyrket och vad som skulle behövas för att de ska få tillräckliga
utvecklingsmöjligheter på sin nuvarande arbetsplats. Undersökningen visar också att
personalen ser positivt på sin nuvarande arbetssituation. Samtidigt uppvisar resultatet att
majoriteten av de tillfrågade att arbetslaget aldrig har fått handledning, trots att flertalet
av dem någon gång har känt ett behov av detta.
"I leken kan man älska och hata fritt" : - Lekens betydelse i arbetet med barn i kris och sorg
Syftet med arbetet är att få en djupare förståelse för hur personal med utbildning inom beteendevetenskap tillämpar lek och vilken betydelse leken har i arbetet med barn i kris och sorg. Arbetets frågeställningar undersöker hur personal som i sitt yrke möter barn i kris och sorg använder lek som ett verktyg för att hjälpa barnet. Arbetet studerar även huruvida personalen anser att leken bidrar till barnets förståelse för det inträffade samt om personalen anser att leken påverkar barnets självbild och självkänsla. Arbetet tillämpar en kvalitativ metod och antar en hermeneutisk anstats för att förklara och förstå ämnet. Datan samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer.
