Too much attention has been given to mainstream approaches in performance management and management accounting research, without taking in to account changes in the environment with the rapid growth of online retailing. This paper evaluates how and/or if performance management differs in online contexts by using a conceptual model developed by Ferreira et al (2009). The model and its components are tested on three multichannel- and six e-commerce businesses. The result and its analysis is commented on by two e - commerce experts. The result shows that the operation method of the models twelve components do not differ in terms of work methods in online and offline contexts.

Många näringslivsaktörer knyter starka band till universitet och högskolor för att positionera sig som attraktiva arbetsgivare för att rekrytera kompetenta medarbetare. Två begrepp som aktualiseras i denna kontext är employer branding och talent management. Denna studie undersöker hur företag inom revision och rådgivningsbranschen engagerar sig på svenska universitet och högskolor utifrån de två koncepten. Frågor som hur och varför de engagerar sig i en akademisk kontext undersöks utifrån en kvalitativ ansats och 10 intervjuer har genomförts med personer med god insyn i företagens relationer med akademin.

The purpose of this paper is to perform an in-depth analysis of how New Public Management reforms have impacted management practises in two publicly financed elderly care providers in Sweden. The paper studies one public and one private elderly care provider and analyses to what extent they have implemented New Public Management methods. The results are based on interviews with several persons within the two organisations and analysed using the seven New Public Management doctrines as described by Christopher Hood (1991; 1995). The major finding in the thesis is that the level of exposure towards New Public Management reforms differs between the two studied organisations where the private provider is exposed to the reforms to a greater extent than the public. The paper concludes that the main reasons for the low extent of exposure in the public provider could be attributed to the lack of measurable standards performance as well as the proximity to the political leadership..

For companies to be able to become and stay competitive in the market, product quality is an important factor. Whilst good product quality leads to customer satisfaction and loyalty, lack of quality brings costs in service and replacements. Today?s farmers are constantly affected by the fluctuating world market prices on grain and thereby the price risk that comes with the price fluctuations. The volatile prices of grain increase the price risk within the business, which in turn affects the profitability of the business. The fluctuating prices together with the increased price risk within the farm business have opened up the market for hedging instruments. In this master thesis project, the aim is to identify the underlying end-values of 30 Swedish farmers? related to their choice of using hedging and the product; forward contract.

Syftet är att ta reda på hur de utvalda företagen utformar presentationen av den frivilliga informationen i sina årsredovisningar för att kommunicera med användarna. Vi har bedrivit en kvalitativ dokumentstudie av fem årsredovisningar. Genom att beskriva vilken frivillig information företagen valt att lyfta fram och hur den har presenterats har vi sökt svar på frågan i vår problemformulering. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att de årsredovisningar vi har undersökt och beskrivit har alla innehållit en hel del frivillig information både om företagets verksamhet och dess omvärld. Kreativ utformning har använts i relativt stor utsträckning för att presentera den frivilliga informationen på ett tilltalande sätt.

Idag spenderas mycket pengar på informationssystem för att effektivisera affärskritiska processer. Men hanteringen av interna dokument som kan ses som en verksamhets digitala minne med instruktioner kring hur uppgifter ska utföras eller hur personal bör gå tillväga i svåra situationer är något som inte fått uppmärksamhet i relation till dess värde. The aim of this study was to comprehend and explain the idea and function of Case Management and its diffusion in Swedish municipalities. More specifically its aim was to investigate factors for the diffusion of Case Management and its differences to similar professional roles. The study was based on interviews with four managers at various levels and two case managers representing two municipalities in Sweden. Five themes were identified that were especially interesting when discussing the function of Case Management, its differences to similar professional roles and its diffusion in Swedish municipalities. The themes were: shortcomings in the welfare system, the functions of Case Management, differences to similar professional roles, descriptions of Case Management and factors for the diffusion.
