Children at the age of six, has since 1991 been allowed to start their tuition in the Swedish school system. Studies reveal that; the first school year (preschool) can be a stressful task dueto the new environment, new friendships and higher expectations.The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how the teachers perceive their own role in the transitioning process from preschool to school. This purpose required a method of qualitative complexion and therefore qualitative interviews were used. The material is based on four interviews with four different teachers. The teachers were asked the same question considering; the transition from preschool to school from a pupil point of view, their own role in that transition and their opinions on different educational tools.

This degree projekt deals with Skanska´s safety at the construction site with focus on personal safety equipment. The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how the rules of personal safety equipment are applied and experienced at Skanska´s construction sites.In October 2004 Skanska started a projekt to make the construction sites more safe. With use of a questionnaire we have made a survey at different construction sites. 80 questionaires have been handed out to Skanska´s employees in the southeast region. While they were handed out we conrolled if the employees at Skanska´s construction sites used head protection, easy visible clothing, safety shoes and identification cards.The result of the survey shows how the rules are applied.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur personal i förskolan upplever och hanterar situationer då de misstänker att ett barn far illa. Därtill vill vi utreda hur väl förankrad anmälningsplikten är hos personal i förskolan, och vilken förståelse de har för de riktlinjer de har att följa. Orsaken till att vi valde detta ämne var för att vi själva ville få större kunskap kring hur dessa situationer bör hanteras.Uppsatsen grundades på en kvalitativ metod. Insamling av data gjordes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med personal i tre förskolor där en rektor, en förskollärare samt en barnskötare deltog.Resultatet av vår studie visade att kännedomen om de riktlinjer som påverkar personalens handlande i förskolan är relativt dåligt förankrade i verksamheten. Vi fann inga aktuella handlingsplaner i förskolorna.

För arbetsmotivationsfaktorer så var skillnaderna: 1) tillsvidareanställda värderar personlig utveckling högre, 2) inhyrda värderar att arbetsinsatsen leder till goda resultat högre, och 3) tillsvidareanställda värderar en trygg anställning högre.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the identity of teenagers is affected by the loss of a parent as well as what coping strategies support identity development. The reactions the teenagers exhibit, in such circumstances, will also be examined. To accomplish this,  a theory package was created, comprising theories in developmental psychology, identity work, coping and theory of grief reactions of children and teenagers. This package provided a broad perspective, which facilitated the analysis. Furthermore, it made it easier to address the purpose and the issue of the analysis.

Antalet återvinningscentraler har ökat de senaste åren och vid utformning av dessa finns det en god möjlighet att utnyttja kunskap från industri och forskning inom arbetsplatsutformning och godshantering. Inom återvinningsbranschen finns det många arbetsmiljöproblem som visar sig i arbetsskadestatistiken. Ett problem är bristen på ergonomiskt lämpliga hjälpmedel för personal och besökare. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyses educators? experiences of reflective conversations in their teams and part of teams in relation to their work with pupils in need of special support. Ten educators representing ten different teams have been interviewed since all had experiences of working in teams and working with pupils in need of special support. Focus has been on the educators? experiences of the organisation, the effects of the reflections and the need to develop the reflective conversations in their teams and part of teams.

The energy in laundry rooms, in form heated air, can be utilized with a heat exchanger. A concept and an early prototype of the heat exchanger have already been developed to show that the theory works. This report describes the continued development and construction of the product.A field study was made in order to investigate the environmental usage and establish the product design. The most common washing machine was used as a calculation model, and calculations were also made to estimate the amount of energy in the air. A previous analysis of the existing prototype is also presented in this report, to show the products potential capacity.

The current demanding business environment requires corporations to act fast in finding effective solutions to problems given the myriad of challenges they face (Dyllick & Hockerts, 2001). The challenges include the impact of climate change on business practices, natural resource consumption, chemical pollution, technological change etc. Moreover, the forces of globalization, heightened concerns about the deteriorating quality of the physical environment and increased stakeholder power are also increasingly having a real influence on business practices (Rainey, 2008). Since 1992, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) has encouraged the adoption of the concept of ecological efficiency (eco-efficiency) to support business efforts aimed at addressing some of these challenges. The aim of eco-efficiency is to reduce the amount of energy and materials used in production processes to achieve economic and environmental benefits (WBCSD, 2000).

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine whether addicted in society maintain their personal dignity. Many studies about this issue have beenfocused on how hard it is to be an addicted, but few have focused on how an addicted handle this situation. Our preconception before this study was that addicts are a stigmatized group not treated with dignity. With this as starting point, our aim has been to let the addicted with their own words describe how they handle their situation and witch strategies they use to uphold their dignity.Method: A qualitative approach is used; we have condicted five semi structured in- depth interviews. The information we have obtained through interviews, we have in the analysis weighed against the theories we believe are relevant to our preconception.We have then categorized the collected information after those themes we found central in the interviews and which we have found can be related to the main questions of this study.Result: The results show many strategies about how people with drug- and alcohol abuse handle their situation.

The PhonePages of Sweden is a company that develops software for mobile units, especially cell phones. This thesis treats the development of, and contingencies for, a mobile phone directory, using the limited resources found in a mobile unit. The project was implemented and executed at The PhonePages with the intention of creating a product to sell to a third party.By studying different solutions, their benefits and drawbacks, an abstract picture of the product was constructed. Problems covered include compatibility problems caused by todays platform diversity as well as problems with saving, organizing and presenting data.The main goal was to create a phone directory which does not make external information retrievals. The service should contain both company and personal information, with name and phonenumber.

Med avstamp i teorier från George Herbert Mead, Charles Horton Cooley och Thomas J. Scheff kommer vi i denna uppsats fokusera kring frågan, vilken betydelse har läraren för utvecklingen av elevens självkänsla?Med utgångspunkt i dessa teorier och vissa centrala begrepp såsom spegeljag, sociala band och ME och I kommer vi att fördjupa oss i den verklighet där eleven möter sin lärare, hur detta möte påverkar elevens personliga utvecklig mot en identitet samt hur relationen påverkar elevens utvecklig mot ett själv och deras självkänsla.  Eftersom ungdomar tillbringar mest tid i skolmiljön och där lärare är de vuxna, vill vi undersöka om relationen med lärare påverkar ungdomar när det kommer till personlig utveckling, självkänsla och identitet.Nyckelord: självkänsla, personlig utveckling, skola, relationer.
