The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are environments that use some kind of central authentication system within institutions/schools. The hypothesis is that an institution not using a form of central authentication service has more need for maintenance and as such is considered a higher cost for the organization. The gathering of data has been done through interviews with technical personal at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola and Linköpings Universitet. Based on the technical background of the authors, and the system limited to discussing Windows and UNIX operating systems, a discussion and analysis of the systems working today has been done, with emphasize on the hypothesis..

This study focuses on nationalism in Central and Eastern Europe. Anchored in theories that this region historically has been characterized by a nationalism that is based on the ethnic group rather than on liberal or civic concepts, it is the purpose of this study to explore whether these theories still apply in recent times when the region has been liberalized, for example manifested in the entry to the European Union. The research question has been tested through analysis of the constitutions of a number of Central and Eastern European countries in order to investigate what type of nationalism that the states have codified in their basic political documents. The results show that some of the states give expression to the historical ethnic nationalism in their constitutions, which indicates that the theories still are relevant..

This thesis has been performed at Scania CV AB Technical Centre in Södertälje and its aim hasbeen to study the causes and effects of deformations in the interface between the rear axlehousing ADA1100 and the central gear house R780 during operation. Design changes that wouldincrease the sealing capability of the studied interface are also suggested. Finite element (FE)and CAD software have been the primary tools in this study.Finite element (FE) simulations are used in the industry to predict and develop engineeringdesigns. The main motive for FE simulations has traditionally been to identify weak spots in thedesign, regarding high tensions and large deformations.The FE model is an aggregation of submodels and interface models that represents the rear axlehousing, suspension, central gear, central gear housing, wheels, bolts and weldings, and theirinteractions. The submodels have different material properties and they are connected withcontact interface models.Boundary conditions are defined on the bushings in front of the rear axle and on the air bellowsbehind the rear axle.

The purpose of this report is to come up with possible improvement suggestions to the distribution central at Götene Stål & Verktygs AB (GSV). GSV is a wholesale dealer located in Götene. The company doesn?t produce anything it self, it buys in products and sells them to customers.The distribution central at GSV is the place where the products comes in and gets ready to deliver.To come up with possible improvement suggestions we started with process mapping over the main process and the distribution centre process. The main process here is from the point where the customer gives GSV an order to the point where GSV deliver the order.Our result shows that the major problem in the distribution central at GSV is the big volume differences in the incoming goods.

Att bli inlagd på sjukhus är för de flesta barn en ny upplevelse. För barnet kan sjukhusmiljön orsaka smärtsamma upplevelser som kan vara mycket svåra att hantera. Innan barnet har fått ett fullt utvecklat språk använder de leken som kommunikationssätt. Barn använder informationen som ett intellektuellt stöd för att hjälpa sig själva att klara av cancersjukdomen. Att undersöka betydelsen av bemötande och information till barn i olika utvecklingsstadier samt deras föräldrar och syskon i samband med cancersjukdom var syftet med studien.

Oskuldsnormen är ett begrepp som står för att bevara sin oskuld fram till äktenskapet och är ett överordnad värde inom hederstraditioner. Vissa motsägelser och föreställningar har kretsat kring strukturen av mödomshinnan. I denna studie ville man undersöka svenska gymnasieelevers attityd till oskuldsnormen och sambandet mellan mödomshinnans struktur. Deltagarna bestod av 93 gymnasieelever i åldrarna 17-21. En enkätundersökning genomfördes, där attityden till oskuldskraven och föräldrars förväntningar på oskuldsnormen tillfrågades även kunskapsnivån om mödomshinnans struktur.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to investigate how the image of the Public library is described in the Swedish national library politics, and compare it with the image given of the public library in the Danish national library politics. The method used for this analysis is a comparative discourse analysis of the homepages produced by the Swedish central government Regeringen and Kulturrådet and its Danish counterpart Kulturministeriet and Biblioteksstyrelsen. Theories on postmodernity have been used to analyze how the Swedish and the Danish central governments image of the Public library corresponds with a changing society and the changing behaviour of the public library users. Our analysis concludes that the traditional view of the Public library as an institution mainly concerned with literature and reading still is of great significance in the discourse of the Swedish central government. In contrast, the Danish central government presents a more postmodern view of the public library as an institution that is part of the Information- and the Knowledge society.

Bakgrund: Användningen av läkemedel ökar i samhället och speciellt bland äldre. När människan åldras ökar risken för sjuklighet, detta i kombination med det naturliga åldrandet gör att läkemedel kan få förändrade effekter så som interaktioner, biverkningar samt låg följsamhet till läkemedelsbehandlingen. Distriktssköterskan träffar dessa patienter i sitt arbete dagligen. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att belysa konsekvenserna av polyfarmaci hos äldre. Metod: En litteratursammanställning utförd som innehållsanalys på 14 artiklar som resulterade i fem underteman och ett tema.

Abstract: Denna uppsats söker upplevelsen av påtvingad behandling. Den är gjord på ett behandlingshem i Mellansverige som bedriver behandling efter § 12 LVU med särskilda befogenheter i vård av unga. Behandlingshemmet lyder under SIS (Statens institutionsstyrelse). Underlaget består av fem intervjuer med elever som blir behandlade för narkotika- och alkoholmissbruk samt lättare eller grövre kriminalitet. Metoden som använts för att analysera intervjuerna är fenomenologiskt inspirerad som innebär att man söker efter essensen i upplevda erfarenheter.Resultatet visar på sex viktiga teman.

Denna kvantitativa studie är en undersökning om gymnasieskolans byggprogram och byggelevers uppfattning om sitt eget lärande. Syftet med studien är att undersöka byggelevers attityd till sitt eget lärande i karaktärsundervisningen, dels på skolan och dels på den arbetsplatsförlagda utbildningen (APU), och vilka konsekvenser det får för deras utbildning i de olika lärmiljöerna. Informationen samlades in via en enkät som är utformad med likvärdiga frågeställningar mellan skola och APU, vilket utgör grunden för en generaliserbar resultatredovisning. Undersökningens slutsatser handlar i stora drag om att byggeleverna anser att APU:n är en mycket viktig del i deras utbildning och att eleverna har lättare att motivera sig på arbetsplatsen när det gäller både lärande till yrket och till användandet av artefakter (verktyg, skyddskor, tider). Resultaten har jämförts med tidigare forskning och resultaten sammanfaller i stora drag.

Patienter med stickrädsla uttrycker ofta svår ångest och oro inför provtagning, insättning av perifer venkateter, diverse injektioner samt inför vissa medicinska ingrepp. Det är därför relevant att beskriva detta närmare och av stor klinisk betydelse att problemet uppmärksammas.Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva de omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan kan använda för att motverka stickrädsla hos barn. Resultatet baseras på tolv vetenskapliga artiklar, tio kvantitativa och två kvalitativa. Artiklarna kartlägger aktuella studier inom området och författarnas analys av artiklarna mynnar ut i tre huvudkategorier av omvårdnadsåtgärder: att avleda barns uppmärksamhet genom distraktion, smärtlindring med topikal anestesi och motivera användandet av coopingstrategier.Studiens huvudresultat är att en kombination av resultatets samtliga tre omvårdnadsåtgärder, där även föräldern engageras, samt ett kommunikativt korrekt förhållningssätt, anpassat till barnets utvecklingsnivå, är det bästa sättet att reducera barnets smärtupplevelse, rädsla, oro samt ångest och därmed minska risken att stickrädsla utvecklas..

This study aims to illuminate central aspects of immigrant fathers' experience of fatherhood in Sweden, a subject that has been widely debated but has garnered scant scientific information. Three informants of Middle Eastern background were interviewed. Central aspects that surfaced during the interviews are family and the cultural/religious group as a basis for individual's lives. Thus the informants prioritize the survival of the family and group through boundary strategies, but these boundaries consists of several layers, some of which are flexible..

The aim of this thesis is to assess the strategic importance of Central Asia as a whole and interests of great powers in the region in particular within the theoretical framework chosen. The work shows Central Asia as an area of the New Great Game, analogue of the original Great Game which was played out between the British Empire and Tsarist Russia in XIX century. The parallels between the original Great Game and the New Great Game are drawn in order to understand the scope and the true intentions of the players of the latter one. Also, the security issues in the contemporary Central Asia are explored and analyzed to provide with the background for future predictions. Furthermore, the indirect purpose of the thesis is to examine whether the international system has changed from that of two centuries ago by comparing the structure of the international systems at the time of two Games.
