Hot och våld inom socialtjänsten: socialsekrterares uppfattningar om hot och våld
The purpose of this essay was to investigate socialworker's Perception of threats and violence in their daily work from the perspective of power. In order to obtain as clear and distinct responses as possible, I used qualitative interviews for this study. The respondents represent a "socialförvaltning" that handles financial assistance in a medium-sized city. This department was chosen because the socialworkers that handle financial assistance at this department have been identified by the media as particularly vulnerable. The study showed that verbal threats are commonplace but physical violence is rare.
Elevers perspektiv på bedömning för lärande
The aim of this study was to examine the students' perspectives on formative assessment, partly about how students perceived the assessment in general, partly about what students' opinions were on formative assessment, and partly about students' view of how assessment could be organized to stimulate learning process. The study consisted of qualitative interviews with six students in grades one in an upper secondary school.The survey showed that students primarily perceived assessment with summative purpose: tests and scores. Majority of the students experienced that there were too many tests occasions. Those high-performing students were positive to tests. However, those lower-performing students felt more negative and became more stressful with the exams.Results showed that they were lack of experience of formative assessment. All the six students thought that they had not got any chance to involve in the assessments process. They realized that they had not got adequate feedback about their learning-situations. With regard to students' wishes about how assessment could be developed in order to improve their learning, it was mainly about more and concrete feedback on tests and assignments.Two models were developed in the final discussion, which showed the author's own Perception of formative and summative assessments..
En känsla av trygghet : Patienters perspektiv inom palliativ vård
Background: Every year 56 million people die around the world and it is estimated that 60% of these people are in need of palliative care. It has been shown that patients in the palliative care experienced their situation as uncertain. When life no longer was certain, the patients tried to live their life day by day and make the best of it. Problem: When patients were diagnosed with an incurable disease the future became unsure, because their life would come to an end. Therefore patients with a palliative diagnosis could be in need of experiencing feelings of security.
Tids- och verklighetsuppfattning genom sceneri i virtuella miljöer
Arbetets syfte är att undersöka berättelseformer i datorspel baserade på tillämpningen av sceneri, avgränsat till spelarens uppfattning av tid och plats. Utifrån de svårigheter som förknippas med framställningen av naturligt förfall och framställningen av teknologiska möjligheter har två hypoteser formulerats; då att spelaren främst skapar sig en uppfattning om spelets tidsperiod utifrån upplevt artificiella objekt, samt att spelaren främst skapar sig en uppfattning om spelets verklighetsförankring utifrån spelets miljö. För undersökningens syfte har en virtuell miljö framställts i tre olika versioner, de två första avsedda att testa arbetets hypoteser avskilt, den senare avsedd att testa båda i samma miljö. Undersökningen har skett genom testspelning av dessa av totalt 30 testdeltagare. Undersökningens resultat styrker arbetets hypoteser, då den första i högre grad än den andra, men påvisar även svårigheter förknippade med sammanförandet av de metoder som tillämpats..
Primärvårdschefers uppfattning om arbetet med patienter med risk- och missbruksproblem
The Purpose of the study was to highlight the primary care managers' Perception of the barriers and opportunities in the implementation of the national guidelines for harmful drinking and alcohol abuse in KalmarCounty. The data was collected by questionnaires which were directed to all primary care managers in the county. The response rate was low, 40%. The data collection was complemented at a later stage with a non-response analysis. To analyze the results implementation theory with following terms were used: wants to, understand and know.
Simulerad interaktiv arbetsmiljö : Från teori till design och implementering
This is a thesis on D-level. In a previous course, at our program Computer Science, we came up with an idea of how to improve/complement training for new employees who are situated in a stressful workplace at companies who are in a constant need of rehiring. We developed this concept and came up with an idea for a simulator that could train staff as well as relieve stress and tension for new employees. The idea matured and became a Serious Game simulator based on a dual-wield Wii-controlled PC-based simulator with Bluetooth support.The purpose of this paper is to produce a design concept for a simulator as well as conducting research on the topics: mental and physical learning abilities, psychomotor abilities, visual Perception, hand-eye coordination, confidence, simulators and Serious Games. The conducted research will be the foundation for the design concept which will be implemented in our co-workers', Henrik Djerf & Daniel Gomez-Ortega, prototype.
Den estetiska butiksmiljön - En explorativ studie av miljöns inverkan på konsumenten
Denna studie skall skapa djupare förståelse för hur den estetiska miljön i en livsmedelsbutik uppfattas av kunder. Vi ämnar undersöka vikten av faktorer såsom färg, ljus, ordning och komplexitet för att nå kunskap om hur de påverkar konsumenten samt hur de kan kombineras för att ge konsumenter ett positivt helhetsintryck av butiksmiljön. Det vi kom fram till var att om färger varieras med klara skillnader och begränsningar i antalet nyanser, samt våglängder i huvudsak från den varma delen av ljusets spektrum så finns det enligt respondenterna i denna undersökning goda chanser att skapa en lockande miljö. Vidare bör varorna vara bra upplysta, gärna med punktbelysning, och ljuset bör vara vitt eller av varmare karaktär. Vad det gäller ordning och komplexitet så finns inga klara preferenser hos respondenterna.
Stadsrum representerade i VR : Examensarbete i Informationsdesign med inriktning mot Rumslig gestaltning
Detta är ett examensarbete inom informationsdesign med inriktning mot rumslig gestaltning. Syftet med min undersökning var att ta reda på hur ett kvarter i Eskilstuna kan formges till virtual reality (VR)-mediet, så att det går att få en upplevelse av hur en stadsplanering skulle kunna se ut om den genomfördes i verkligheten. Resultatet från min studie är grundat på, prototyping, intervjuer, och en enkät. Min undersökning visade att för att det ska gå att få en upplevelse av ett stadsrums utseende efter en nybyggnation, bör representationen formges efter tänkt målgrupp och budskap. Felaktiga eller för många informationsgivande detaljer kan leda till att fokus hamnar på information som inte är nödvändig, eller till och med felaktig, för att förstå hur kvarteret kan komma att se ut efter en nybyggnation. För lite information om olika detaljer eller för låg detaljrikedom kan leda till att representationen blir svårtolkad. Min undersökning visade också att visuella detaljer som är svåra att formge, bör kompletteras med t.ex.

Background: To wait on an emergency department is a reflected and well-documented problem. Thou it´s mainly due to a patient perspective should also nurses' perspectives be significant to obtain a faceted Perception of the phenomenon.Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe how nurses perceive the phenomenon of anticipation of a somatic emergency department.Method: The analysis was performed using a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted in a medium-sized hospital in southern Sweden, during the latter part of 2005, and had a qualitative approach based on a lifeworld perspective. Data collection consisted of written stories from twelve nurses.Results: The results indicated that the waiting was the scene of the expectations. These expectations led to dilemmas, powerlessness and frustration, the more the phenomenon was allowed to stand.

The purpose of this paper is to present a possible understanding of why the company Tekola is segregated according to sex. In accordance to this purpose, an understanding of how the segregation affects the employees in relation to power, values and possibilities is discussed. The theoretical understanding is that the organization of men and women within Tekola is done in close connection to creation of the meaning of gender in Tekola. This, in turn, affects and is affected by the recruitment to and within the company. Through the study of statistics from a survey, five interviews with employees and former employees and Tekolas? equality plan, we are able to see the possible existence of a glass ceiling, and a culture of homosociality, which affects the possibilities of women to enter the company and also to gain full entrance to power-positions in a negative way.

The purpose of this thesis has been to explore the topic of business simulation from a theoretical foundation in social constructivism and theories concerning leadership as the management of meaning. The most important findings are that business simulation can be used for strategical leadership by management to create a common vision in the organisation members, which affects their Perception of the business and the decisions and actions they make, which in turn can lead to a more efficient organisation that becomes better at meeting set goals. This can be viewed in different ways from different theoretical viewpoints: as inducing targeted changes in mental models to create changes in decision making and actions; as a secondary socialization process where the vision of management is externalized as a business simulation that is in turn internalized by the organisation members that participate in the business simulation, or as a way to frame and define the reality of the organisational members which creates a shared reference point against which a feeling of organisation and direction can emerge. In the future, business simulations may become increasingly used by organizations to create a common vision or to communicate a new decision to the organization members..
Det digitala skolbiblioteket. En möjlighet för utveckling av såväl verksamhet som yrkesroll?
The aim of this paper is to study if implementation of a school library management system called FreeLib has created favourable conditions for the school librarians to cooperate with other professions and become a more forward working place. I have studied relevant literature about school libraries, organisation, digital libraries and documents that regulate school and library activities today as well in the past. In order to fulfil my purpose I have done a qualitative survey with six school librarians from Swedish primary schools with pupils at the age of 6 -16 years old. To identify strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities I found in the material I used a method called SWOT analysis. According to this study the use of the digital FreeLib system has developed a better teamwork between school librarians at different schools.
Särbegåvade elevers uppfattningar om sin matematikundervisning : En intervjustudie på grundskolan om hur särbegåvade matematikelever upplever sig inkluderade i matematikundervisningen
Studien syftar till att undersöka hur särbegåvade elever i matematik upplever sig inkluderade i matematikundervisningen. Inkludering har i studien betraktats ur tre aspekter, rumslig, social och didaktisk. Undersökningen har genomförts genom att sex lärare har intervjuats och därefter tretton av deras elever. Det är elever som lärarna uppfattat som särbegåvade i matematik.Lärarna har motiverat sina urval av elever med hjälp av egna kriterier, som till stor del kan kännas igen i Krutetskiis förmågor, med vilka han beskriver de särbegåvade eleverna.Eleverna upplever att de är rumsligt och socialt inkluderade i den matematikundervisning som de varit del av under sin tid i grundskolan. Däremot finns det indikationer på att flera elever inte alltid känt sig inkluderade didaktiskt, de upplever inte att de fått arbeta med uppgifter som är avpassade för dem. .

The retailing landscape has become even more competitive with an increasing number of store formats. One result of this can be seen within different retail-chains as they launch different formats that operate under the same name. Thus, consumers now have many alternatives and substitutes when it comes to choosing which format to shop from. This phenomenon has led consumes to shop across stores for the same brand. The objective of this study is to explain how consumers respond to various offers in different store formats and to determine whether the results differ if we compare a familiar brand with an unfamiliar brand.
