När Sydafrika blev en demokrati 1994 gjordes utbildningssystemet om. En del i de storaförändringarna var att introducera Life Orientation, ett nytt ämne från och med 1998.Forskning har visat att införandet av ämnet inte varit friktionsfritt, vilket bland annat berott påatt ämnet varit nytt och det varit brist på lärare med relevant utbildning för att undervisa i LifeOrientation.Syftet med den studie som gjorts var att ta reda på hur lärare på en High School (årskurs 8-12)upplever idrottsämnets ställning är på deras skola, mot bakgrunden att ämnet integrerats i LifeOrientation som ett av sex delområden. En kvalitativ forskning har genomförts medsemistrukturerade interjuver som metod. Resultatet i undersökningen visade utifrån de trefrågeställningsparametrarna; uppfattningar om ämnet, upplevelser av ämnet och åsikter om demateriella förutsättningarna, att lärarna upplevde att ämnets ställning var låg på deras skola.Nyckelord: Sydafrika, utbildning, Life Orientation, idrott och hälsa, ställning, status,upplevelser, materiella förutsättningar.

Introduktion: Frukt och grönsaksintaget har minskat i både rika och fattiga länder. Konsekvenserna av ett för lågt intag kan vara övervikt och fetma som i sin tur kan leda till hjärt- och kärl sjukdomar, cancer och diabetes typ 2. Det har visat sig att det finns flera olika faktorer i hemmet som gör att det har blivit ett minskat intag. I tidigare forskning finns det tydliga samband mellan familjen och ett minskat intag av frukt och grönsaker hos barn och ungdomar. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka faktorer i familjen som påverkar barn och ungdomars intag av frukt och grönsaker.

The essay discusses the effects that changes to the office plan have on organizational culture. Information about actual change as well as expected change in organizational culture was gathered before the empirical research was initiated. The empirical research was carried out at the Customer Logistics department at Ericsson through: an interview with a manager in charge of the relocation and design of the office, a manager for the specified department and also five employees of this department. The empirical studies show that there was a significant change in organizational culture and that results were not always as expected. There was a loss in symbolic actions, which needed to be compensated for, a perceived reduction in spontaneous communication, and a mixed response of perceived change in social interaction.

The aim of this littrature review has been to describe how you can satisfy the need of nourishment for older people who suffer from dementia. Data has been retrieved by searches in Academic Search Elite, Sience Direct, Blackwell, PubMed and in the Journal Vård i Norden. The studies show that most of the people with dementia have a hard time to satisfy the nourishment. The results show that through different preventive measurement you can improve the nourishment for these people, to set the table, play calm music and to have a table companion. By taking the food oneself created a good meal environment and the individually need was provided for.

Sedan 1960-talet har HR genomgått stora förändringar vilka inneburit en övergång från den traditionella rollen med administrativt ansvar och lönehantering till ett större ansvarsområde med helhetssyn över organisationen samtidigt som ett mer operativt och strategiskt arbete antagits. Idag ser många inom HR att de har en självklar plats i organisationens översta skikt medan realiteten inte speglar samma bild. Då det bland medarbetarna råder oklarheter kring HR och dess bidragande resurser för hur deras arbete genererar ekonomiskt till organisationen, har HR och dess legitimitet ifrågasatts. I denna studie kommer den upplevda statusen inom HR-yrket att undersökas utifrån tre perspektiv. Frågeställningarna är följande: Hur upplever intervjupersonerna med roller inom HR sin status i sitt arbete ur ett påverkansmöjlighetsperspektiv? Hur upplever intervjupersonerna med roller inom HR sin status i sitt arbete ur ett könsperspektiv? Denna studie syftar till att öka förståelsen för den status som HR upplever sig ha utifrån ovan nämnda teman då statusfältet av oss setts som ett relativt outforskat område.

This theory consuming thesis is concerned with why Iran's uranium enrichment has become a security issue, and will focus on the five most important and involved actors: China, Russia, Iran, the US and the UN. I will do this by using instruments of analysis such as securitization and strategic analysis. With these instruments I will examine different factors, such as deterrence, the action-reaction model and armament. Since, according to my opinion, security matters include more sectors than military I will also examine the political, societal and economic sectors. China and Russia have acted differently compared to the US in this matter and this thesis will highlight the factors that can explain the different actions made by these countries.

Arbetsmiljön består av psykosociala och fysiska aspekter och idag är problemen inom psykosociala arbetsmiljön mer uttalade än på 1990-talet. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur personer som arbetar på ett bemanningsföretag inom lager, verkstad och industri, uppfattar att deras fysiska- och psykosociala arbetsmiljö påverkar arbetsutförande och välbefinnande på arbetet samt om demografiska faktorer inverkar på hur arbetsmiljön uppfattas. Studien är en tvärsnittsstudie, där bedömningsinstrumentet Work Environment Impact Scale (WEIS) har använts.

Following study is about the anorexic behavior and the pro-ana movement, which is a web-based subculture where the followers of this, stands for anorexia as an identity position and lifestyle, rather than a disease. The purpose of this study was that, from a sociological perspective give possible interpretations of the anorexic behavior, and interpret why some anorexics choose to be a part of and identify oneself with the pro-ana movement. The reason has been to conduce more knowledge and understanding of the topics, but also to contribute with a deeper perspective and sociological approach to the former research that is already available.To conduct the study, qualitative research has been used, and the chosen methodology was document analysis/text analysis. The collected empirical data consisted material from two pro-ana forums, four blogs and six twitter accounts, where all the users of those claimed to be supporters of the pro-ana. Alcohol consumption and student life have been connected through many years. Many people establish their drinking habits during their years as a student and drinking habits among students are therefore an extremely important topic. The aim of this study was to examine the drinking habits of students at Växjö University. The study included 98 respondents who answered a survey concerning sex, age, living status, social relations, social desirability and drinking habits. The result indicated that male students consumed more alcohol than female students.

ABSTRACTSegregation is more and more common in the Swedish society, especially in those suburbs called ?miljonprogramsförorter? which are characterized as grey and boring districts with low status. These suburbs are often mentioned in the media and the public associate them with immigrants, problems and crimes. Kungsmarken in Karlskrona is one of these suburbs and the purpose of this essay was to compare the media image with the images local participants had of Kungsmarken. The questions I brought up were how media was describing Kungsmarken, how this image has contributed to the low status of Kungsmarken, and if this image was reflecting the local participants? images.

This masters thesis concerns the professional knowledge of the librarian. It is a comparative study where two major ma-gazines in library press, Biblioteksbladet and DIK-forum, is compared between the years 1990-2000, in relation to the theories of professionalization and the associations to the union. The study focus on showing the differences and similarities between the two magazines according to how they interact from the subjects education, wages and status. The study is conducted from two questions: - Which are the central differences and similarities in the description of the librarian profession in the two magazines, from the perspectives of wage, status and education? - In what way do the two magazines reflect the theories of professionalization? Part of branding is to create a visual appearance which is called a graphic profile and contains information on for instance a logo, colours or typography.The objective of this thesis was to create a graphic profile for Stjørdal Tannhelsesenter that could serve as a base for a brand work in the future. It was important to analyze how the clinic wants to be perceived and how it is perceived today. The methods used to carry out this study were questionnaires, researches and a focus group.The work resulted in the generation of a graphic profile that included a new logo, colours, decorative elements, fonts, templates for stationery, business card / badge, imagery, and examples of some publications.According to the test which was made to examine the results of the project showed that I was successful and that the new design meets all the requests from the previous questionnaires..

Genom denna studie ämnade vi besvara hur kapitaltillgångar och habitus påverkar ungdomars resonemang, sett till utbildning och karriär, baserat på bostadsområdestillhörighet. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur uppväxten i segregerade bostadsområden med olika socioekonomisk status påverkar ungdomars handlingsstrategier vad gäller utbildning och karriär. Vår tes var att ungdomars handlingsstrategier skiljer sig baserat på bostadsområdestillhörighet. Vi trodde att ungdomar från bostadsområden med högre socioekonomisk status är mer resursstarka och därigenom enklare kan navigera sig inom utbildningsfältet. Studien utgår från Lidingö och Botkyrka, två boendesegregerade områden i Stockholms län med olika socioekonomisk status, där Lidingö är mer resursstarkt.

Introduktion: Karies är en multifaktoriell sjukdom och en av de mest förekommande infektionssjukdomarna som finns världen över. Den kan förekomma i olika svårighetsgrad och orsaka såväl smärta som en försämrad livskvalitet hos individen. Trots att det har skett en minskning av kariesförekomsten hos befolkningen, framför allt i Sverige, de senaste årtiondena finns det individer som tillhör riskgrupper för att utveckla mycket karies.Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka socioekonomiska faktorers samband med kariesförekomst.Frågeställningar: Vilka samband finns mellan socioekonomiska faktorer och karies bland barn och ungdomar? Vilka samband finns mellan socioekonomiska faktorer och karies bland vuxna och äldre?Metod: Systematisk litteraturstudie.Resultat: Tjugoåtta vetenskapliga artiklar ligger till grund för denna litteraturstudie. Utbildningsnivå, såväl hos en vuxen person som hos barn/ungdomars föräldrar, är den vanligast förekommande socioekonomiska faktor som påverkar kariesförekomst.
