Following study is about the anorexic behavior and the pro-ana movement, which is a web-based subculture where the followers of this, stands for anorexia as an identity position and lifestyle, rather than a disease. The purpose of this study was that, from a sociological perspective give possible interpretations of the anorexic behavior, and interpret why some anorexics choose to be a part of and identify oneself with the pro-ana movement. The reason has been to conduce more knowledge and understanding of the topics, but also to contribute with a deeper perspective and sociological approach to the former research that is already available.To conduct the study, qualitative research has been used, and the chosen methodology was document analysis/text analysis. The collected empirical data consisted material from two pro-ana forums, four blogs and six twitter accounts, where all the users of those claimed to be supporters of the pro-ana. This masters thesis concerns the professional knowledge of the librarian. It is a comparative study where two major ma-gazines in library press, Biblioteksbladet and DIK-forum, is compared between the years 1990-2000, in relation to the theories of professionalization and the associations to the union. The study focus on showing the differences and similarities between the two magazines according to how they interact from the subjects education, wages and status. The study is conducted from two questions: - Which are the central differences and similarities in the description of the librarian profession in the two magazines, from the perspectives of wage, status and education? - In what way do the two magazines reflect the theories of professionalization? To give a wider perspective of the librarian profession, there is also a historical chapter with an explanation to the making of the librarian profession..

Genom denna studie ämnade vi besvara hur kapitaltillgångar och habitus påverkar ungdomars resonemang, sett till utbildning och karriär, baserat på bostadsområdestillhörighet. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur uppväxten i segregerade bostadsområden med olika socioekonomisk status påverkar ungdomars handlingsstrategier vad gäller utbildning och karriär. Vår tes var att ungdomars handlingsstrategier skiljer sig baserat på bostadsområdestillhörighet. Vi trodde att ungdomar från bostadsområden med högre socioekonomisk status är mer resursstarka och därigenom enklare kan navigera sig inom utbildningsfältet. Studien utgår från Lidingö och Botkyrka, två boendesegregerade områden i Stockholms län med olika socioekonomisk status, där Lidingö är mer resursstarkt.

Vilka samband finns mellan socioekonomiska faktorer och karies bland vuxna och äldre?Metod: Systematisk litteraturstudie.Resultat: Tjugoåtta vetenskapliga artiklar ligger till grund för denna litteraturstudie. Utbildningsnivå, såväl hos en vuxen person som hos barn/ungdomars föräldrar, är den vanligast förekommande socioekonomiska faktor som påverkar kariesförekomst.

Part of branding is to create a visual appearance which is called a graphic profile and contains information on for instance a logo, colours or typography.The objective of this thesis was to create a graphic profile for Stjørdal Tannhelsesenter that could serve as a base for a brand work in the future. It was important to analyze how the clinic wants to be perceived and how it is perceived today. The methods used to carry out this study were questionnaires, researches and a focus group.The work resulted in the generation of a graphic profile that included a new logo, colours, decorative elements, fonts, templates for stationery, business card / badge, imagery, and examples of some publications.According to the test which was made to examine the results of the project showed that I was successful and that the new design meets all the requests from the previous questionnaires..

In this thesis a method for evaluating investments in small scale hydro power is presented. An analysis of the future position that small scale hydro production will have on the Nordic electricity market is also carried out. This is done by an inventory of technology and economic and environmental aspects. The inventory is also a guide as to how the project should be implemented.Hydrolyzer is the name of the Excel tool developed to evaluate investments. The tool requests input data from the user and then evaluates the investment and generates a sensitivity analysis.

This thesis investigates if a system for small scale electricity production located in anurban environment can be profitable. The work has been divided up into two parts,one extensive literature study and one case study. The purpose of the literature studywas to investigate the area, resulting in a choice of which technology to be studied indepth in a case study.In the case study a system containing small scale wind turbines and photovoltaicsmounted on Gränby Centrums roof was examined. From data containing wind power,wind direction and total irradiation, possible production from a system weresimulated. Three products of each technology were examined in the simulations.From the simulated production an economic analysis was carried out, this toinvestigate if a system is profitable.

Bråk och konflikter är något som förekommer dagligen mellan barn i förskolan. Handlingar som hindrar samspelet innebär för oss att man gör något som får negativa konsekvenser för det sociala samspelet och/eller negativa konsekvenser för någon annan. Det kan bland annat handla om samspelssvårigheter, kränkningar, fysiskt och psykiskt våld. Vårt syfte med studien har varit att undersöka hur barn handlar mot varandra i sociala samspel. Vårt fokus har varit handlingar som hindrar och får negativa konsekvenser för samspelet mellan barn, i vilka situationer dessa handlingar förekommer och om det finns någon koppling mellan utförandet av handlingarna och positionen/statusen barnet har i gruppen.

Cambodia, in Southeast Asia, has tropical monsoonal climate with distinct dry and rain seasons. Many people are poor and live in rural areas. Farmers mainly culture rice, and raise pigs, cattle and poultry as well. During two months, a minor field study was performed in Cambodia. The main purpose was to evaluate the impact of contributions done by projects that started in 2005 and were managed by the local organization CelAgrid.

Syftet med studien var att ta reda på om det går att predicera medarbetares livstillfredsställelse, psykosociala välmående och upplevd relation till närmaste chef utifrån chefers emotionsperception och emotionsreglering. Detta gjordes genom att 38 chefer utförde ett datorbaserat emotionsperceptionstest samt besvarade Emotional Regulation Questionaire. Deras närmaste medarbetare bestående av totalt 213 stycken fick sedan besvara en enkät bestående av delar från Satisfaction With Life Scale, SF-1 och QPS Nordic. Studiens huvudresultat visade att generaliserat kan resultatet från emotionsperceptionstestet och det självrapporterade användandet av omvärdering av känslor hos chefer förklarar 28 % av skattningarna på Satisfaction With Life Scale hos medarbetarna. Resultaten diskuteras i termer av att chefer skapar en positiv atmosfär på arbetsplatsen, identifierar sociala problem och löser konflikter effektivare när de är skickliga på emotionsperception och omvärderar sina känslor..

Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka den hälsorelaterade livskvaliteten hos elever på högstadiet samt hur denna förhåller sig till elevernas socioekonomiska status och upplevelse av kontroll. 154 elever från fyra olika kommunala skolor i Sverige besvarade ett formulär gällande deras hälsa, livskvalitet och känsla av kontroll. Eleverna delades in i olika grupper, hög/låg-SES, beroende på medelinkomsten i deras kommun. Resultatet visar på en signifikant skillnad i elevernas HRQoL. Högre grad av kontroll visades vara förknippat med bättre hälsa.

AbstractThe author Selma Lagerlöf was born in 1858 at Mårbacka, in Värmland and died in 1940. Fifty years after Selma´s death were her correspondence released and ten thousand of letters were found in the collection. But it was just the correspondence between Selma and Sofie Elkan who interested people because they wanted to know if Selma and Sofie have had a sexual relationship. Later, in time for Christmas 2008 the Swedish Television shows a film about Selma. "Selma Lagerlöf Society" was critical to the movie and thougt that the movie focused too much on Selma`s sexual orientation.

The study examines the massacre of the garrison of the castle of Kalmar in 1525 and its causes. The goal of the investigation has been on the one hand to elucidate the most probable sequence of events, and on the other to identify as many different plausible explanations to the massacre as possible. For this end, four contemporary sources have been examined and compared in their details. To enable a broad basis for interpretation, the author has consulted various works on the themes of warfare, soldiers and violence in the late middle ages and the sixteenth century. Apart from political aspects, the study highlights social and cultural conditions as important factors in explaining how the massacre could be carried out without provoking any single part of society.
