This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

Title: What women want ? a study about young men?s self-presentation on the on-line dating site Spray Date.Authors: Anna Tuvehagen & Josefin HultTutor: Lena Widding-HedinPurpose: Our main purpose was to identify implicit norms and ideals for masculinity in young men?s advertisements on the on-line dating site Spray Date.Questions: How do the men present themselves on Spray Date and what do they accentuate in their advertisements? What kind of relationship do the men hope to establish and what qualities and attribute do they look for in women? Are there any notable differences and similarities regarding our findings of ideals and the ones in previous research?Method: In order to answer our questions we chose 100 advertisements made by men in the age 18 to 25. To analyse the advertisements we used a qualitative content analysis, however we have some quantitative elements.Main results: The men in our study are searching for love on Spray Date and usually describe themselves as nice, cheerful, decent guys with good sense of humour. Although, spare-time interests and activities are what the men mainly focus on. Their interests are broad and all sorts of combinations occur why it is difficult to place the men in categories.

The aim of this study was to find out how many and which of the herbs used for horses that have been scientifically studied with results to justify the use. In order to find out which herbs that are commonly used by horse-owners a phone interview was performed where six companies selling herbs for horses was contacted and asked to provide information on the most sold herbs for horses in Sweden. Devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens), chamomile (Matricaria recutita), dandelion (Taraxacum officinalis), nettle (Urtica dioica) and monk's pepper (Vitex agnus-castus) where the most sold herbs, followed by marshmallow (Althaea officinalis), burdock (Arctium lappa), marigold (Calendula officinalis), purple coneflower (Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea), cleavers (Galium aparine), licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), rose hip (Rosa canina), thyme (Thymus vulgaris) and vervain (Verbena officinalis), in no particular order. Of the most used herbs, research with focus on the use for horses was found for purple coneflower, licorice, devil's claw, monk's pepper, rose hip, thyme, and vervain. These studies did not cover the whole range of traditional use for the mentioned herbs, and more studies are needed to be able to claim that these herbs have, or have not, scientific support for use in equine management..

I denna rapport vill jag försöka belysa de fördelar och eventuella nackdelar med den OC-spray som svensk polis använder sig av. Tanken med den här rapporten är att man ska få reda på hur man gick till väga när man provade fram sprayen och på vilket sätt den är tänkt att hjälpa den enskilde polisen. En enkätundersökning har gjorts hos ordningspolisen i Linköping där en fingervisning ges om vad poliserna idag tycker om OC-sprayen. Jag har även genomfört kortare intervjuer med en OC-instruktör samt den ansvarige för rapporten Fältförsök OC (som även ligger till grund för större delen av mitt arbete)..

En man skulle en kväll gripas av polis för våld mot tjänsteman. Han kunde utan större problem beläggas med handfängsel, men när mannen skulle sättas i polisbilen blev han helt plötsligt vansinnig och började sparka mot polisbilen och mot en polis. Situationen blev ohållbar och mannen sprayades med pepparspray i ansiktet på ungefär 20 cm avstånd i cirka 5 sekunder. Resultatet var omedelbart, mannen bajsade ner sig och kunde lugnt transporteras till polisstationen. Det här var en situation tagen ur verkligheten och det är om detta som vårt arbete skall handla om.

There have been changes in Earth?s climate system on both global and regional scale since the pre-industrial era and some of these changes are due to human activities such as the combustion of fossil fuels. This calls for the development of engines with a higher efficiency and less harmful emissions. One interesting concept is the Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine, which has the advantages of potentially low emissions combined with high efficiency. However, HCCI with diesel fuel requires a relatively long fuel/air mixing time to ensure a "homogenous" charge.

Myofasciella triggerpunkter (MTrP) är ett relativt vanligt problem hos befolkningen. Det största problemet för de drabbade är smärta men det kan även orsaka rörelseinskränkningar samt ge refererad smärta. Diagnosen ställs enligt Simon och Travell utifrån ett antal olika diagnoskriterier, så som palperbara knölar i muskulaturen och ökad känslighet på och runt dessa. Sjukgymnastiska smärtreducerande behandlingsmetoder kan delas upp i invasiva- eller icke invasiva metoder. Syfte: Syftet var att genom en systematisk litteratursammanställning kartlägga evidensen för olika smärtreducerande sjukgymnastiska behandlingsmetoder vid MTrP i nacke, skuldra och ländrygg.

Det finns flera tidigare studier gjorda på nasalt tillfört koksalt bland både barn och vuxna med kroniska eller recidiverande luftvägsbesvär, eller i utsatta miljöer. Vi ville med vår studie undersöka om nasalt koksalt kan påverka förekomsten av "banala" luftvägsbesvär, oftast förkylningsviroser, hos i övrigt friska vuxna individer. Vi tittade både på förekomst av alla typer av lyftvägssymtom men även specifikt på nässymtom. Studien lades upp som en prospektiv randomiserad crossover studie och studiepopulationen utgjordes av en grupp värnpliktiga vid I19 i Boden.Under två tioveckorsperioder har försökspersonerna dagligen fyllt i ett protokoll avseende variablerna nedan. Under den ena tioveckorsperioden har halva gruppen sprayat fysiologisk koksaltlösning (Renässans) i näsan och under den andra perioden har den andra gruppen sprayat.108 försökspersoner ingick i studien och 60 fullföljde båda perioderna med minst 60% complience.Utifrån protokollet avlästes följande variabler: förekomst av luftvägssymtom, antal symtomepisoder och episodduration samt sjukdomsintensitet mätt i form av sjukfrånvaroprocent och medicin konsumtion.Den statistiska analysmetod som använts är parat T-test.

The reason why I choose the subject ?Warts on teats of Dairy Cows? was because the herd I work with has big problems with skin-complaint on teats and udder. So I found it interesting to try to find the reason why the cows look like they do and even to find a way to relieve the trouble. The examine work included both a literature research, an experimental test, concerning a comparison of different teat sprays and also an inquiry-research about the occurrence of warts in practical herds in order to collect as much facts as possible. Three companies, selling different types of teat disinfectants, were willing to sponsor the teat dipping experiment. The aim of the experiment was to see if any special disinfectant had more pronounced healing effects on teat warts. The date for the experiment was 18th December 2004 to 22nd January 2005, which was going to be 5 weeks.The experiment was carried out in the herd of Ola and Eskil Carlsson in Fjärlöv, Hässleholm. The three compared teat spray chemicals were; Nova Viri Sun, Nardosept, and BlockadeTM. These chemicals were compared to one control group, which teats were treated with the ordinary chemical normally used in the herd, i.e.

An overwhelming majority of all male piglets are castrated without anaesthesia when they are very young. In Sweden this means that approximately one and a half million piglets are castrated every year. The reason the piglets are castrated is the strong and unpleasant smell and taste, the ?boar taint? that the meat from intact boars sometimes exhibits. Boar taint is chiefly cause by androstenone and skatole, two compounds that are mostly produced by sexually mature boars and are accumulated in the subcutaneous fat.

Arbetet behandlar tre icke dödliga vapnen - taser, beanbag och OC-spray (pepparspray) - som kan komma att användas som särskilda hjälpmedel vid polisens våldsanvändning. Vi har haft en del motgångar med vår informationsinhämntning. De personer inom polisen är insatta i dessa tre hjälpmedel har, p g a olika skäl inte kunnat hjälpa oss. Däremot har vi fått hjälp från bl a medicinskt kunniga personer (rättsläkare), så vi på så sätt har fått uppgifter om hur de särskilda hjälpmedlen påverkar kroppen fysiskt. Personer inom polisen har kunnat komplettera den information vi hittat på Internet.

Today it is common to spray against most weeds by using very expensive weed-killers. The goal for every farmer is to have as low costs as possible for their use of machines and weed-killers. Therefore it is in everyones interest to find other methods to fight the weeds. Finding a way to reduce the rise and growth of weeds already at the preparation of the soil would lower the number of laps over the field and also decrease the amount of weed-killing dose. Tests show that by harrow in the dark it is possible to reduce the population of weeds with up to 60%, but the normal reduction would be about 20-30%. To verify the results above we made tests by using two different methods of preparing the soil. We tested ploughing and harrowing in daylight and during night. Later we checked the number of different weeds in areas prepared in daylight and during night. By studying the results from the different methods used we found a considerable reduction of some kinds of weeds in areas prepared during night..

Denna studie handlar om ambulanspersonal i en fartygsmiljö samt kommunikation mellanambulanspersonal och fartygsbesättning. Syftet är att undersöka om ambulanspersonal ansersig ha förutsättningar för att med egen kunskap göra en riskbedömning av en fartygsmiljö samtatt undersöka om det finns ett behov av att förbättra kommunikationen mellan fartygetsbesättning och ambulanspersonal.Bakgrunden till studien är olyckan med bulkfartyget Saga Spray när två urambulanspersonalen blev kolmonoxidförgiftade och en besättningsmedlem omkom.Studien är utförd med en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod med semistrukturerade intervjuer avambulanspersonal samt en dokumentstudie där olycksrapporter från myndigheter granskats.Studien visar att ambulanspersonalen inte anser sig ha tillräcklig kunskap för att identifierarisker ombord, de förlitar sig på att bli informerade av fartygets besättning. Cochlear BAS AB is a daughter company to Cochlear Limited based in Sydney, Australia. Cochlear BAS AB is situated in Gothenburg and with its 150 employees develop and manufacture the Baha?system.

ABB Surge Arrestors in Ludvika have for a long time had a problem to keep the moisture at a steady state in the production of their ZnO-powder, that is used to produce varistors.Some black-box models of the spray drying process have been designed and evaluated to find a solution for the problem. After evaluating the collected data it has been found that variations in the supply voltage causes control difficulties for the operator. A cascade control system was designed, consisting of three PI control loops designed with lambda tuning. The disturbance in the supply voltagewas used as a feed forward in the control system.At the end of the project the control system was installed, and tests were made to verify the functionality of the regulator. It was shown that most of the variations in the moisture of the powder could be eliminated using small resources, through purchase of a process controller and four power meters.
