Social workers in the Social Services are seen as professionals and they are associatedwith a substantial degree of freedom to carry out their work in order to interpret theSocial Services Act and make decisions. This freedom is referred to as discretion andis a central aspect of the role of the social worker. But the social worker is employedwithin an organisation that exists in an environment influenced of political decisionswhich sets boundaries to how far the freedom stretches. The general aim with thisthesis is to gain insight in how social workers within the Social Services experiencetheir discretion. Secondary this thesis also aims to explore how discretion is shapedand negotiated.

The energy that the earth receives from the sun hourly has potential to cover a year?s energy demand in the world. Further, this type of energy is environmentally friendly, natural and free of cost. This report covers solar energy in an urban environment and consists of a case study of installations of photovoltaic cells in a part of the city of Stockholm. It is mainly the economic aspects that are covered but there is also a discussion about the practical consequences and the sustainability as a result of integration of solar energy in an urban environment. The aim of the study is to present results from economic calculations for utilization of solar energy in chosen buildings in Kungsholmen in Stockholm.

Bakgrund Inom de närmsta tio till femton åren kommer den stora gruppen av 40- och tidiga 50-talister att gå i pension. Detta kommer att resultera i en brist på arbetstagare och en generationsskiftning på arbetsmarknaden. Att en ny generation är på väg in på arbetsmarknaden, kan innebära nya krav på arbetsgivaren. Detta medför att företag måste fundera över hur de ska bli mer attraktiva. De nya arbetstagarna måste motiveras till att stanna kvar i företaget, så även de befintliga.

Reformen av det svenska pensionssystemet 1999 syftade bland annat till att minska den demografiska risken som en åldrande befolkning har på systemet. Sverige valde ett system som grundar sig på ett fördelningssystem med fiktiva pensionskonton (inkomstpensionen) och ett fonderat pensionssystem med verkliga pensionskonton (premiepensionen).Eftersom en åldrande befolkning medför utmaningar och påfrestningar för ett pensionssystem, behandlar uppsatsen hur demografiska förändringar påverkar pensionerna i det svenska pensionssystemet i ett makroekonomiskt sammanhang. Uppsatsarbetet är främst baserat på studier av litteratur och statistik samt intervjuer.Slutsatserna visar att demografiska förändringar som resulterar i en åldrande befolkning har en negativ finansiell inverkan på det svenska pensionssystemet, det vill säga att pensionerna påverkas negativt. Höga antaganden på de tre demografiska förändringsfaktorerna (fruktsamhet, mortalitet och migration) har i praktiken bara en liten positiv effekt på försörjningsbördan i de olika demografiska scenarierna, och kan därmed inte var för sig motverka den åldrande befolkningens finansiella inverkan. En kombination av exempelvis högre fruktsamhet och högre invandring skulle däremot ge en större positiv effekt på försörjningsbördan.

In several cases, systems that have been developed have been very time consuming and cost a lot of money, but they still do not fulfil the users requirements and requests. To make new systems better, you have to find a way to communicate that allows the developers to understand the needs of the user. The aim for our thesis is to highlight the importance of communication in system development. To investigate this we have choosen to do a study of the real-estate system. The work methods that have been used include mock-ups and informal conversations with the user, who is employed by the Church of Sweden in Ronneby.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects on a simulated wastewater plant regarding GHG emissions and use of energy and resources when implementing source separated wastewater systems. The effects were studied for different restrictions of effluent quality and for different temperatures on the influent. The simulation model BSM2G calibrated for Käppala wastewater treatment plant was used. The task was executed by simulating nine different scenarios with an increase in influent load from new connections equivalent to 3, 10 and 30 % of the present connections. These new connections were served by conventional, urine separated or black water separated systems.

AbstractTitle: A union, a collaboration and a currency crisis- a quantitative study of the media coverage of the euro crisis within the European Union in Spanish and Swedish newspapers.The purpose of this study was to see whether Sweden and Spain ?s differences in media climates and relations to the euro crisis would affect how the story was portrayed from a narrative perspective. Did the coverage differ between the two countries and who got to comment on the situation in the media were two of the questions I strived to answer. I also wanted to see how the coverage reflected on the situation that the euro crisis has created.In this study I used a number of theories that I based my research on. The main theories I focused on was about different media systems and Sweden and Spain ?s relation to the euro crisis.

The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.

In order to produce grain in an economically rational manner numerous decisions have to be made. One of these decisions is what tillage system to use. The cost of the tillage system is a large part of the total cost in grain production. Different tillage systems result in different distribution of fixed costs, operating costs and timeliness costs. The price of the produced grain and cost of inputs also affect the best way to produce grain.

This report is made as a literature review, focusing on the work done to increase understanding of efficiency in the categories of substations and secondary heating systems, with respect to the deviation from the theoretically possible cooling off in the distribution network as well as the economic benefit that appear. The main purpose of a considerable part of the literature used in this report addresses the issue of identifying individual causes of reduced cooling in district heating systems. These literature resources have been compiled and summarized as part of the report.The technology of district heating is associated with benefits such as better use of the energy in a fuel. This is the case of cogeneration plants where serial generation of electricity and thermal energy increases efficiency compared with the parallel generation where heat is generated locally and electricity is generated centrally. Serial generation thus allows for lower primary energy demand.
