The research in this thesis attempts to understand what happens when children (3-6 years of age) interact with each other in the context of free play in two pre-school settings when adults are not involved. The aim of the study was to get a closer look at how children create relationships and how they protect and defend their interactional spaces. Data was gathered through ethnographically inspired methodology, using video observation to capture the everyday interactions of the children. Results were analyzed using a phenomenological approach to peer cultures. Previous research suggests that it is very important for children to maintain their interactions with peers and gaining access to play.
Är yoga en effektiv metod för hantering av examinationsstress hos högskolestudenter?: En litteraturstudie
I detta examensarbete undersöks genom en litteraturstudie om det finns vetenskapligt stöd för att yoga kan förebygga stress hos högskolestudenter vid examinationer och ett försök att förklara den stressminskande effekten av yoga görs med hjälp av KASAM. Resultaten från sex experimentella utvärderingar, som har publicerats i tidskrifter med peer-review visar att yoga lindrar både psykologisk och fysiologisk stress i tentamenssituationer. Detta är i enlighet med tidigare forskning, där effekter av yoga i andra situationer för andra typer av försökspersoner har studerats. Det låga antalet studier och vissa metodologiska brister i studierna motiverar dock att ytterligare forskning genomförs innan en bestämd slutsats om effekten av yoga på tentamensstress kan dras..

The aim of the study was to describe lone mothers? experience of the contact with the Child Health Centre (CHC). The definition of CHC in the study was the Child Health Centre?s daily activities, the child health nurse and the parent groups. The study had a descriptive design and eleven lone mothers from parent forums on the internet participated.

The ?peer to peer? (P2P) is a technology of downloading and filesharing between online - Internet - users by the mean of specified software. Since June 1999, the Napster software has made the happiness of millions of individuals who used it to obtain and share free audio files Mp3. Rapidly, the major recording companies have prosecuted the Napster Company and managed to force it to close down. They were arguing against it for it is supporting the development on a large scale traffic of files protected by copyright and thus was threatening the whole music and movies economic world.

The investigation has taken place at an upper secondary school in the south-east of Sweden, involving 20 students in grade 2 and 3 in the course Swedish C. The investigation is based on the students? comments on their peers? speech drafts and six qualitative interviews.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the collaboration of four learners of Swedish as a second language during a pair-writing task, as well as their experiences of the process, in order to draw conclusions about how to execute pair-writing in the L2 classroom. The study has found that the establishment of compatible partners are of great importance to achieve success and learning through pair-writing. One of the pairs studied managed to work well together and use each other?s knowledge to improve their text, while the other pair continuosly battled for dominance, which had a negative impact on their performance. The two successful students had enjoyed the task and believed they had learned something from it and that pair-writing can be a useful source of knowledge.

Kunskapssammanställning om behandlingsmetoder i ungdomsvården : En jämförande studie om tre metoder
The aim of this study is to describe and analyse the knowledge of three of the treatment methods used in youth welfare and this is accomplished through a knowledge review. This study contains an analysis of three different treatment methods described in eleven different Peer reviewed articles. The articles are all internationally published between the years 2006 to 2012 and they are all effectiveness evaluations. The articles deal with treatment methods concerning Motivational interviewing (MI), Aggression Replacement Training (ART) and Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and these are three of the most common in youth welfare in Sweden. There is not much knowledge of Swedish conditions and that is why this study focuses on international research.

Demokrati och lagprövning - Om rättfärdigandet av en positiv respektive negativ inställning till lagprövning som institution i demokratin
This essay concerns the issue of democracy and judicial review. The main focus is on the justification of both a positive and a negative attitude towards judicial review, and the values these justifications are based on. The analysis is made by textual analysis of four authors with different opinions of the subject matter: Robert Dahl and Jeremy Waldron who has a negative attitude towards judicial review, and Erwin Chemerinsky and Ronald Dworkin who are positive about it. In the analysis an analytic frame is used which consists of different dimensions and aspects of the problem of democracy and judicial review. The study shows that there are important differences in democratic values between a positive and a negative justification of judicial review.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how children search for and choose picture books while visiting the library together in a preschool group. How do children interact with each other and their teacher while searching for picture books? Which aspects of children's everyday lives are apparent in their choice of picture books? The theoretical frame of reference consists of Brenda Dervin's sense-making approach to information seeking and William Corsaro's sociological approach to studying children's routine activities within a peer culture. To capture children's interaction, we have observed a preschool group consisting of six 3- to 5-year olds and their teacher in a library setting during three visits. Our study shows that children's search for picture books is a social activity that involves various verbal and nonverbal strategies in order to include and exclude each other when they find a picture book that interests them.
Flipped classroom i matematik i gymnasieskolan : Studie av en gymnasieklass som undervisats enligt olika undervisningsupplägg i matematikkurserna Ma 1c, Ma 2c respektive Ma 3c
I föreliggande studie undersöks hur ett undervisningsupplägg baserat på flipped classroom påverkar resultatet i en matematikklass på det naturvetenskapliga programmet, samt hur eleverna förhåller sig till ett sådant undervisningsupplägg.Klassen undervisades av samma lärare, men med olika undervisningsupplägg, i tre olika matematikkurser: Traditionell undervisning med klassrumsbaserade genomgångar i Ma 1c; inverterad undervisning i Ma 2c där eleverna före lektionstillfället tog del av en videogenomgång, för att frigöra tid för uppgiftslösning i klassrummet; inverterad undervisning i Ma 3c med tillägget att man i klassrummet använde sig av undervisningsverktyget peer instruction.En enkät gjordes angående elevernas attityder till de olika undervisningsuppläggen. Vidare gjordes en jämförelse av klassens resultat på de nationella proven med resultaten i riket, samt med resultaten för en elevgrupp som undervisats traditionellt.Enkätsvaren visar att eleverna var mycket nöjda med flipped classroom, och att majoriteten ansåg att de lärde sig mer med flipped-classroom-baserad undervisning än med traditionell undervisning. Detta gäller elever på alla betygsnivåer; elever med såväl som utan tillgång till matematikhjälp hemma; pojkar såväl flickor. Elevernas inställning till peer instruction var mera splittrad.Jämförelsen av resultat på de nationella proven visar en tydlig nedgång i elevernas prestation mellan Ma 1c och Ma 3c. Den största delen av nedgången skedde mellan Ma 1c och Ma 2c, dvs.
