The level of increased central government that we have experienced during the last decades in school, for the purpose of increasing equality and to adapt the Swedish school to a certain international standard, clearly shows that increased control scarcely leads to improvement.The aim of this paper is to examine whether teachers believe that national tests contribute to equivalent assessment and increased goal attainment. Furthermore the teachers? attitude towards and work with national tests is described. The paper is written from a school improvement perspective, where good examples from current research on what creates increased quality in school meaning increased goal attainment and equivalent assessment are related to research on school effectiveness and increased testing in schools. The study builds upon a quantitative survey among teachers in upper primary - and secondary school in a medium-sized municipality in Sweden.The result shows that the teachers have a somewhat more positive than negative attitude towards national tests, as a whole.

Empirin är samlad med hjälp av kvalitativ intervjumetod, intervjuerna hölls med ettantal forskare vid humanistiska fakulteten. Genom en sammanfattning av hur vetenskapligapublikationer har sett ut och förändrats genom historien går det att se att utvecklingen rör sig mot OpenAccess. Eftersom att det i dagsläget (2012) utformas nationell policy kring Open Access samt attforskningsfinansiärer börjar ställa krav på att forskare ska publicera sina forskningsresultat i OpenAccess ? är det intressant att se hur väl Open Access mottagits av forskare eftersom det är de som stårför själva produktionen av materialet.

The degree of automation of tasks within production has been a growing trend but the measurement of quality has not followed the same trend. The main thesis follows:What incentives are there to automate the measurement of quality in production?What factors are crucial and why are not all metrology automated?The thesis comes along with a number of sub-queries and delimitations.The working method includes both theoretical and empirical studies.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate the construction of sexuality in Swedish school libraries through the lens of Foucault?s concept of power/knowledge. Five libraries were investigated, using two kinds of method: discourse analysis of titles, classification codes and subject headings of sex education materials, and qualitative interviews with librarians working at each of the libraries. Most sex education materials were classified within the medicine section, illustrating the continued authority of medical discourse in matters concerning sexuality. Books for younger audiences were often written for either boys or girls, reproducing a binary understanding of gender.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att undersöka i vilken grad elever på Bernadottegymnasiet i Stockholm uppfattar att de når ett antal ett antal sociala mål i Läroplanen för de frivilliga skolformerna från 1994, och deras uppfattning om hur måluppfyllelsen gått till.
