The purpose of this essay was to examine the packaging design´s communications related to the colloquially brand's symbolic capital and how they became meaningful through experience and perceptions that led to the identification processes in the consumer society. There were eight interviews of snuff users who became my main collections materials. My theoretical framework was discourse psychology´s emphasis on language and Bourdieu´s concept provided important tools in the analysis of the material.I could highlight that packaging design and the brand had influenced the informants and given them symbolic beliefs and what it meant to sniff a certain brand. Color, brand awareness and price were crucial in choosing where the informants attributed themselves the cans symbolic values to their identity. It could be inferred high and low status perceptions based on stereotypes in the design itself..

This bachelor thesis consists of an analysis of museum environment. In the research, case studies have been done at the, Stockholm based museums, Swedish museum of Natural history?s exhibition Natur i Sverige (Nature in Sweden) and the Nordiska museet?s (Nordic history) exhibition Modemakt (Power of fashion) and learning environment Lekstugan (playhouse). The purpose of the research was to study how cultural heritage is used and developed within the museum pedagogy aimed at children. The research is based on a multimodal approach with focus on learning resources.The research examines the museums focus on children and youngsters, what the goals for this focus looks like on respective museum and how the focus is visible in the actual museums.

Choir singing is one of the most popular national movements in Sweden but the knowledge of the meaning of this activity for health and well being from the choir singers? own experiences is limited. The purpose of this study was therefore to develop useful knowledge about the meaning of choir singing for participating persons from a health perspective. The data was collected through qualitative interviews with six different choir singers and went after that through a comprehensive analysis which resulted in four main categories: an oasis in the existence; possibilities of meetings and solidarity; goals and musical development; and physical and emotional well-being. The results showed that the choir activity represents a place where the singers can escape the demands and the stress factors of everyday life and where they get the opportunity of meaningful relations with other people.

During this project a photographer and an illustrator have explored if a single image can communicate a bigger whole, in this case a movie. By analysing five motion pictures with visual communication theories, semiotics and colour symbolism as tools, ten images was created. These images do not only consist of symbols, but also communicate the overall feeling and colour scheme of the movie.These images have been tested in interviews with six individuals, who, except for one, work with visual communication of some kind. They have studied the communication skills of the images from their own experiences.The result of the interviews showed that all images could not communicate a movie. One reason for this was that only a few of the test persons had seen two of the selected movies.

Syftet med denna studie är att få mer kunskap om hur man kan använda kroppen i sångundervisning. Jag undersöker vad ett urval av sångpedagoger anser om förhållandet mellan röstorganet och resten av kroppen och hur de tillämpar det praktiskt i sin undervisning. Metoden jag använder mig av är en kvalitativ intervjuundersökning och resultatet visar bland annat att pedagogerna använder kroppen i sångundervisningen genom övningar med rörelser, olika muskelspänning och avslappning. Några av slutsatserna är att det är viktigt med balans mellan anspänning och avspänning, att använda rätt sorts muskler och rörelser samt att använda dessa på rätt sätt.The purpose of this study is to get more knowledge of how you can use the body in voice-training. Studien avser coaching inom socialt arbete med socialkonstruktionistisk utgångspunkt. Coachingen bedrevs inom projektet "Stärkt skydd för utsatta barn", Länsstyrelsen i Skåne län. Studien syftade till att utforska med vilken mening och betydelse som coachingen användes inom kontexten av socialt arbete. I studien berättas om hur coachingen inneburit utveckling av och lärande av metoder och tekniker men framför allt personlig och professionell utveckling för deltagande socialsekreterare. Coachingen omtalas främst som öppna dialoger - involverande dialogiska samtal -med utforskande förhållningssätt initierat av coachen genom olika frågeställningar och gemensamma reflektioner.

Abstract A central problem in all language teaching is to teach the correct use of prepositions. There are grammar rules, but also a lot of exceptions and idiomatic expressions that often have to be learnt by examples or by heart. A trick for learning might be to use a mnemonic method with songs and music to memorize a correct use of prepositions. The purpose of this study is to test a language teaching didactic exercise for knowledge of preposition in Spanish with songs and music. Grammatical aspects, rules and exceptions when studying prepositions in Spanish are presented.

Bakgrunden till studien grundar sig i ett ökat fokus på hälsofrämjande arbete i arbetslivet. För att utveckla ett mer hälsofrämjande förhållningssätt har ledaren en viktig funktion, en aspekt vi beslöt oss för att studera närmare. Uppsatsen är en intervjustudie av kvalitativ karaktär, där sex ledare samt en hälsopromotor i Lunds kommun har intervjuats. Syftet med studien är att belysa ledarnas arbete med, och deras uppfattningar om hälsofrämjande arbete. Vi identifierar de insatser som utförs för att främja hälsa på arbetsplatser, samt studerar de olika sätt på vilka ledarna inhämtar och vidarebefordrar kunskap inom området.

This thesis is about how teachers in natural and social science integrate the upper secondary school library in their teaching and how they use it for their teaching. Literature in connection with the study is described. Qualitative interviews have been done with four teachers from each subject and with an upper secondary school librarian.The study has shown that there are differences between the teachers in social and natural science. One group, consisting of mainly teachers in social science, survey the library collection.They give the pupils suggestions of useful material and sometimes they take out material for the pupils, with help from the librarian. The other group, teachers in natural science, uses library tools, cooperates and discusses with the librarian how the pupils should work when they use the library.

Title: This is not Africa - West African teaching methods in Sweden. This is a work of "translation". The study started with a musical journey to Guinea, West Africa. It was a field study where I had the opportunity to open my senses towards another culture and another kind of music. I found another learning tradition and decided to try to bring it with me back to Sweden, into the Swedish school system.

AbstractIn this text the attitudes towards and using of blogs in teaching Swedish toteenagers will be explored. The results are based on a survey made amongst 17teachers and 58 students from all over Sweden. The end results show that theusage of blog still hasn?t found a permanent way into the classrooms, but has anappeal to and is being used by predominantly younger teachers both, male andfemale, with a positive response from students regardless of gender. Uppsatsen syftar till att analysera hur ledare i olika typer av organisationer uppfattar sitt ledarskap i förhållande till den organisationstyp de verkar inom. Med organisationstyp avser vi ideell, privat och offentlig organisation. Vår utgångspunkt är att analyser detta utifrån de förutsättningar för ledarskap som organisationstypen ger, till exempel i form av organisationskultur, samt utifrån faktorer som kommunikation, handlingsutrymme och ledarens uppgifter.Den metod vi använt är kvalitativ och bygger på sex intervjuer med ledare inom ovan nämnda organisationstyper och fokus för intervjuerna har legat på ledaren egen uppfattning om sitt ledarskap.Vi har funnit att likheterna mellan de olika ledarskapen är tydligare än skillnaderna och att de skillnader som återfinns till stor del kan kopplas till respektive organisationstyps mål. Dessa skillnader kan bero på dels de förutsättningar som varje specifik organisationstyp ger, och dels ledarnas förmåga att anpassa sig till de krav som ställs på ledarskapet i olika situationer..

Denna uppsats syfte var att undersöka vad elever i grundskolans senare år har för attityd till grammatikundervisningen i svenska. Min hypotes var att den allmänna attityden är negativ. Om detta antagande stämde ville jag undersöka vad som låg till grund för denna negativa inställning, samt ta reda på hur eleverna tyckte att man kunde göra för att förändra undervisningen till det bättre. De metoder jag använt mig av är dels en enkätundersökning bland 70 elever i skolår 6-9, dels mer djupgående intervjuer i gruppform med elva elever. Tyvärr så bekräftades min hypotes.

ABSTRACTMusic and differences in knowledge ? a study of music teachers experiences with differences in musical knowledge. The purpose of this paper is to, out of a music teacher?s perspective, see if the differences in music abilities between 7th grade students are at all, or in some ways connected to the previous schools they?ve attended. I will also research in what areas, in the subject of music, students are differing more, as well as less, in their knowledge. The analysis is based on interviews with six 7th grade music teachers working in the Swedish nine-year compulsory school system.
