The purpose of this study is to investigate how a children's book is suggested to be prepared in order to be accepted for publication by a publishing house in Sweden today.My questions was first to clarify the concept of a "children's book". Secondly, to understand if there are any guidelines to follow regarding the design and illustration of a children´s book, and how to proceed with the best chances of getting a mauscript published.To answer the question, I have chosen to use a qualitative method containing questionnaire items involving eleven Swedish publishers of children's literature.My results show that children's books includes all literature that has an target audience of people between 0-18 years of age. The most important thing is that the book's material is appropriate to the target group's level of mental perceptions and emotional competence. The material which then is submitted to the publisher will need to be of the highest quality and the author must investigate a consistent niche in order to submit the material to a publisher..

I min studie undersöker jag vad det är som kan forma innehållet i gymnasieskolans turismutbildningar, -dels med hjälp av tidigare forskning och dels genom en egen intervju med turismlärare. I intervjuerna har jag undersökt lärarnas inställning till vilken möjlighet de har till att undervisa i hållbar turismutveckling och om de i så fall gör det. Jag har dessutom undersökt huruvida deras yrkes- och studiebakgrund kan förklara om de undervisar i hållbar turismutveckling eller inte. Min analys av lärarnas svar bygger på lärarnas praktiska teori alltså lärarnas värderingar om nödvändig kunskap samt lärarnas personliga erfarenhet från ämnet och elevernas kunskap. För att få fram hur turismutbildningen formas har jag dels sett hur Skolverket samt branschorganisationer och den turismpolitiska debatten formar kursplanerna. Dock visar mitt resultat att det är lärarna som formar utbildningen i slutändan för det är lärarna som tolkar och väljer sin undervisning utifrån den praktiska teori som de har..

Syftet med vår studie var att beskriva och söka kunskap om det offentliga samhällsarbetet i Örebro kommun .  Problemområdet var  hur utförarna av samhällsarbete förklarar  social problematik, hur samhällsarbetet utförs, samt på vilket sätt medborgarna är delaktiga. Empiri insamlades genom en  kvalitativ intervjustudie. Respondenterna  var  fyra  offentligt anställda samhällsarbetare  i Örebro. Resultaten analyserades med utgångspunkt i marxistisk teori och strategier samt principer för samhällsarbete.

Studies conducted on event marketing have mainly focused on larger events. Managerial implications, marketing techniques, and theories in the field have hence dominantly addressed events of larger nature. Event marketing however is a growing phenomenon in the marketing mix. Brands are using event marketing to a greater extent. Brands are increasingly using small events as a marketing tool in order to create brand awareness and brand image; this goes for both small brands and large brands.

Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur metaforer och liknelser inverkar på ömsesidig förståelse i samtal. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt har jag använt Grices (1989) teori om konversationella implikaturer samt Lakoff & Johnsons (1980) teori om konceptuella metaforer, Stålhammars (1997) teori om förståelse av metaforer och Levinsons (1983) kritik av Grice för dennes påstående om metaforer som brott mot samarbetsprincipen vid konversation. Min analysmetod är samtalsanalys, Conversation Analysis. Materialet för uppsatsen består av transkriberade utdrag ur ett radioprogram som bjuder in lyssnare att ringa in och tala om ett förutbestämt ämne med programledaren och i det här fallet även en bisittare. Resultatet visar att det finns fall där metaforer går obemärkt förbi och inte skapar problem för den ömsesidiga förståelsen i samtalet, men det finns även exempel på att bruk av metaforer och liknelser försvårar förståelsen..

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to see how technology is presented in different fictional picture books that are available in preschool. Six fictional picture books that have connection to technology in picture and text have been analysed. In order to show how technology can be made visible in fictional picture books, the relation between picture and text has been analysed through a technology perspective. Furthermore, the pictures and the texts have been analysed separately in order to show what they show respectively in terms of technology. The fictional picture book has a potential to be a basis for making technology visible in preschool, which is a step in a new direction.

Researchers claim that stress has become a word of fashion and is now frequently used. They also state that there is no accepted definition that can easily describe the concept. In this essay, I have examined children and stress. The aim of the diploma work is to illustrate stress more closely the stress concept, the underlying reasons that can influence children and how teachers and school staff support children in their stress handling. My three issues are: What is stress? What stressors put children, at home and at school, in a stress situation? How can teachers help children to manage their stress? The diploma work is based on a literature study in order to find out what has been written on the subject in earlier research.

Denna studies fokus har varit att minska mängden material i arbete genom att byta från ett tryckande produktionssystem till ett dragande system. För att undersöka hur detta skulle påverka viktiga nyckeltal, som lagertillgängligheten, simulerades olika typer av dragande system för att säkerställa att det är möjligt att uppnå kraven på lagertillgänglighet med en minskad mängd material i arbete. Arbetet startade med en omfattande littelär studie gällande forskning på de olika typerna av dragande system, deras fördelar samt nackdelar. Sedan analyserades vilka hur stort lager som bör hållas enligt mer traditionella metoder, genom en statistisk analys. Den statistiska analysen föreslog ett medellager på 55 ton skulle motsvara 99,8 % lagertillgänglighet.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate how the EUs directive 2001/29/EG regarding copyright is to be implemented into Swedish legislation and assess the common opinion in the public libraries on this matter. The basic methodology of this thesis is a democratic perspective, concerning the public libraries democratic role and the right of the citizens to have access to information. This study has the purpose of looking at the current and future position of record labels from a context involving the technological developments, while the opportunities for the artists are changing. As the actors inside them music industry find themselves in an ever changing climate where traditional supply chains are threatened by new technology, the record labels need to change the way they work in order to maintain their existence in the music industry. The study has been conducted by interviewing a number of people involved in the music industry, by using a qualitative method approach. The conclusion of the study shows that the traditional way of doing business by treating music as a product that makes revenue is gone. Instead the labels have to take on new roles formerly run by third parties in order to survive and be profitable, especially since artists can now in control of activities that used to be controlled by the record label..

The purpose of this study is to explore the Swedish site Funbeat which is a space dedicated to people who share an interest in exercising in general, and running in particular. By applying a netnographic analysis, I will investigate if Funbeat matches the criteria of a participatory culture and how the members manage to establish a collective intelligence within the community. In order to achieve this, I will analyze the interactivity between the participants which occurs in discussion threads concerning injuries related to running, in the sites discussion forum. The results will then be discussed in relation to previous research within the field for participatory culture, collective intelligence and interactivity.The outcome of the study revealed that Funbeat can be regarded as very good example of a participatory culture. By each member sharing their individual knowledge in matters regarding injuries, a collective intelligence was established.

The Swedish government has set up the overall goal that no net emissions of greenhouse gases can occur after 2050. A sub-target has been developed for road transports which states that the use of fossil fuels must be reduced with 80% to 2030 in order to be completely abolished to 2050. A public inquiry mapping how this can be achieved was handed in to the government late in 2013. The use of alternative fuels for road transport, both biofuels and electricity, is expected to give the biggest contribution to the reduction of the use of fossil fuels. The inquiry sets up a number of goals for how much the use of alternative fuels must increase to 2030 in order to reach the overall goal and which instruments that are needed in order to do so.The aim of this thesis is to evaluate how these goals can be reached and what the most likely obstacles that may hinder the reaching of these goals may be.
