Transportation constitutes a large part of the forest industry's raw material costs. Transport also contributes a significant proportion of the carbon dioxide emissions. In order to reduce both the cost and environmental impact different types of decision support are required. These, in turn, require extensive information about the road network and correct information on road path selection and transport distances. In the development of national road data base for forestry (SNVDB) a road selection application has been included.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka vad lärarna tror sig veta om professionen studie- och yrkesvägledare. Studien undersöker vilken betydelse verksamma lärare lägger i titeln studie- och yrkesvägledare samt att, utifrån ett lärarperspektiv, undersöka om studie- och yrkesvägledare är en relevant titel för uppdraget. Det är både en kvantitativ och kvalitativ studie som är avgränsad till en kommun i södra Sverige. Lärarna i kommunen, som har en studie- och yrkesvägledare på sin arbetsplats, har besvarat ett formulär, en ostrukturerad intervju. Lärarna har besvarat frågor om hur de uppfattar titeln studie- och yrkesvägledare och dennes arbetsområden och kompetens.

En viktig del av ett företags finansiella planering är att bestämma företagets nivå av skuldsättning. Med denna uppsats vill vi ta reda på hur företags skuldsättningsgrad påverkar en rad olika faktorer som lönsamhet, omsättningstillväxt samt några utvalda nyckeltal. Resultaten redovisas i tabeller och diagram vilket gör att det blir lättöverskådligt.Vi ville studera detta ämnesområde då vi har läst om hur skuldsättningen ska påverka företags prestationer och resultat samt dess värdering. Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera de mest omsatta börsbolagen på Stockholmsbörsen OMX, för att se hur väl dessa företag följer teorin och om det finns något samband att utläsa.I uppsatsen har vi kommit fram till att teorin och empirin följer varandra till en viss del. Då det kommer till sambandet mellan skuldsättningsgrad och lönsamhet så finns ett samband.

Tomato production is a common and important agricultural activity in Nicaragua. During the last decades tomato producers have suffered great yield losses due to begomoviruses (family Geminiviridae). The genome of begomoviruses generally consists of two circular ssDNA components, DNA-A and DNA-B. Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is an example of a begomovirus with only one component. An approach to manage the virus epidemics has been to breed a cultivar with begomovirus resistance genes, which have been transferred from wild tomato.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to see how illustrators and illustrations are treated in Bibliotekstjänst?s binding booklets compared to how authors and texts are treated, i.e. the picture versus the printed word. My aim is to try and find out if librarians have the aids to acquire information about picture-book illustrators and illustrations in their selective work and reference work. This master thesis is one part of a project, called ?StabSim?, with the purpose to develop a simulation model for the align and stabilisation system in main battle tank 122. The origin of this project is that it should be possible to make control analysis without risking any hardware. Besides that it will be easy to change components in order to investigate the behaviour of the system. The report includes modelling of tower and weapon mechanics and also the modelling of the synchronous motors, which control these.

En mängd äldreforskning pekar på att ålderdomen bör vara en förlängning av medelåldern på det viset att aktivitet, produktivitet, rationalitet, oberoende, hälsa och social förmåga även är normen på gamla dagar. Teorin om gerotranscendens menar till skillnad från detta att ålderdomen innebär en positiv utveckling där man känner sig nöjd med det liv man har haft, samhörighetskänslor med den eviga kedjan av liv och en harmoni inför vad som komma skall. Mitt syfte var att undersöka hur äldre personers upplevelse av ålderdomen ter sig i relation till teorin om gerotranscendens och dess tre dimensioner ? tidsuppfattning, självuppfattning och sociala relationer, samt att få en ökad förståelse av vilka faktorer som kan ha en avgörande påverkan för utvecklingen mot gerotranscendens. Kvalitativ metod användes och semi-strukturerade intervjuer genomfördes för att närma mig åtta äldre intervjupersoners upplevelse av ålderdomen.

This study presents a holistic view of which factors small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have to consider, in moving their customer order decoupling point (CODP) further from the customer, thereby becoming more customized. The study also investigate whether SMEs and larger enterprises differ in the strategic questions relating to what influences an enterprise to become more customized, which prerequisites are required and which problems enterprises should anticipate and prepare for. These questions are important, given that strategic change is challenging, and can take considerable time to accomplish; it therefore needs to be based on the right decisions. This study is motivated by the fact that the markets SMEs are selling to tend to become more and more complex and harder to anticipate. Increased globalisation and use of IT and ICT have lead to greater uncertainty in customer demand.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV?s) are nowadays greatly appreciated. The advantage over manned airplanes are great since UAV?s can be much smaller and therefore lighter. The goal of this project is to evaluate the performance of an environmentally friendly UAV using only lithium-ion batteries.

Denna C-uppsats behandlar skillnader mellan privat och kommunal äldreomsorg. Syftet är att undersöka ivilken utsträckning privata respektive kommunala äldreboenden tillämpar New public management i sinaverksamheter. Data hämtas genom fyra semistrukturerade intervjuer med personer som är boendechefer förolika äldreboenden. Anledningen till att jag valt att intervjua boendechefer är för att dessa personer inneharett ledningsansvar och som även visar vilket synsätt verksamheten har. Den teoretiska bakgrunden jaganvänder mig av är NPM-teorin.

Denna studie undersöker motivationsgrunderna till miljörelaterade beteenden i den privata sfären. Med en modell ursprungligen utvecklad av Martinsson & Lundqvist (2010) delas respondenterna från en enkätundersökning upp i fyra idealtyper. De fyra idealtyperna är individer med gröna (miljövänliga) värderingar och en grön (miljövänlig) livsstil ? de troende; individer med gröna värderingar och en grå (icke miljövänlig) livsstil ? hycklarna; individer med gråa (icke miljövänliga) värderingar samt grön livsstil ? de hemliga, samt; individer med gråa värderingar och en grå livsstil ? vägrarna. Respondenterna delas upp i de fyra idealtyperna med stöd i value-belief-norm-teorin (VBN-teorin) ? en teori utvecklad av Paul C.

This study has the purpose of looking at the current and future position of record labels from a context involving the technological developments, while the opportunities for the artists are changing. As the actors inside them music industry find themselves in an ever changing climate where traditional supply chains are threatened by new technology, the record labels need to change the way they work in order to maintain their existence in the music industry. The study has been conducted by interviewing a number of people involved in the music industry, by using a qualitative method approach. The conclusion of the study shows that the traditional way of doing business by treating music as a product that makes revenue is gone. Instead the labels have to take on new roles formerly run by third parties in order to survive and be profitable, especially since artists can now in control of activities that used to be controlled by the record label..

The purpose of this thesis is to examine value creation in networks. Based on a case study of Livebookings Network, an online booking service. This thesis has an explorative nature. As a theoretical framework we use theories on value and network dynamics. By combining these theories we develop an operationalized framework that we use to analyze our empirical findings.

Then, toachieve the target, the current assembly process is analyzed to develop some firstconceptual ideas for improvement. In order to develop the best advice, theconcepts are evaluated against the company?s requirementsThe developed action plan gives recommendations on how the company shouldrestructure their assembly process and the organization of the related departmentin order to produce spring toys in a more time efficient and lean way.

Nowadays in our society we find it hard for some groups of people to integrate in society. It?s known by media, that the suburbs are presented by a negative view, which often highlights the social problems in these suburbs. We can see that the suburbs still get associated with social problems such as segregation, different attitudes and behaviors, cultural conflicts, poorness etc. This kind of presentation of the suburbs affects not only the society but also the individual living and the personal perception of the individual.
