I dagens bostadsbyggande används nästan uteslutande utfackningsväggar med en lägre förtillverkningsgrad, eftersom kompletta utfackningselement ofta anses vara för riskfyllda, då de i vissa fall lett till omfattande fuktskador. En högre förtillverkningsgrad med bibehållen fuktsäkerhet skulle kunna förkorta byggtiden, effektivisera byggandet och bidra till att industrialisera byggandet. Den prefabricerade sandwichväggen känd för sin fuktbeständighet kan vara en lösning på problemet. En yttervägg med sandwichelement blir tät tidigt vilket gör att de invändiga arbetena kan starta tidigare vilket ger en effektivare byggprocess.Ett stort antal flerbostadshus byggs med fasader uppbyggda av utfackningsväggar. Byggprocessen för väggarna innehåller flertalet aktiviteter där fokus ligger på ett effektivt utnyttjande av företagets resurser.

Today more effective computer programs are in use, regarding design of geotechnicalconstructions. There is a risk that the theoretical background of the computerprograms, its limitations and the signification of the choice of soil parameter isforgotten when the computer programs become more user-friendly.This Master thesis deals with simulation and analysis regarding three computerprograms, FEM-design, with the addition Raft, Plaxis and BE-slab. Comparisons aremade for settlement and maximum moment in a concrete-plate. FEM-design is a threedimensional FEM-program, foremost created for design engineers. Plaxis is a twodimensional FEM-program, intended for geotechnical engineers while BE-Slab is aBoundary elements program in two dimensions that is mainly used by designengineers.

Detta examensarbete handlar om utformning av ett kvarter som är gjort på uppdrag av Peab Sverige AB. Kvarteret Negern ligger i Tingvallastaden i centrala Karlstad och idag finns på platsen en gammal tryckeribyggnad och parkeringsgarage. Området gruppen utformat är 2600 m2 stort och skall inrymma ett 60-tal lägenheter. Målgruppen för arbetet är hushåll med två personer, därför kom det att bli tvåor och treor i alla plan utom i det översta där det kommer att vara två fyror.Arbetet resulterade i två punkthus (se figur 1) om åtta respektive nio våningar i varje och ovanpå dessa en stor takterrass. Fasaderna består av ljus puts och bottenplan av granitplattor, för att ge tyngd åt byggnaderna och för att motverka klotter.På innergården finns det bland annat fontän, grill och lekplatser.
