In the new Library Act of 2014, it is stated that public library supply should be characterized by quality. To investigate what this means for the library, I do a functional analysis of ideas of librarians' views on quality and how they work with purchasing, weeding and mediation. I have chosen to limit the essay to fiction for adults in Swedish public libraries.  Ur ekonomisk synvinkel är kontinuerligt arbete för förbättrad kvalité viktigt, men kostnader måste sättas i proportion till de förbättringar som kan uppnås så att varje investerad krona omsätts på mest kostnadseffektiva sätt. I det genomförda examensarbetet har parametern slagseghet hos verktygsstål varit i fokus. Det är en liten del i en lång rad av kvalitetskrav som måste uppfyllas innan verktygsstålet kan levereras till kund.Examensarbetet har utförts i samarbete med Uddeholms AB på avdelningen för forskning och utveckling i Hagfors. Initiering till arbetet och dess syfte är att undersöka brottorsaken hos fyra olika verktygsstål som underkänts i slagseghet. Kan brottorsaken fastställas kan man kanske hitta orsaken till att felet uppkommit, ändra i processen och på så sätt få ett bättre utbyte, en högre kvalité och lägre kvalitetsbristkostnader.Uddeholms AB har en medveten strategi i sitt kvalitetsarbete.

Södra is a co-operative of private forest owner organisation which is owned by 35 000 private forest owers in southern Sweden. Forest owners in Sweden can choose to certify their Forestry. Södra uses PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) as their certification scheme for their members. Those who choose to certify their forest are obligated to follow the demands for forestry which PEFC requires. A ?Green? forestry plan is another important tool in the ambition to reach a sustainable forestry.

Background: Evaluation of lameness in horses is traditionally performed by a veterinarian who subjectively evaluates the movements of the horse. Accordingly, lameness diagnosis varies with the veterinarian and circumstances for which the horse is examined. Research within the area has long tried to establish an objective and standardized method for lamenessevaluation in horses. Several methods have been shown to be reliable and are used regularly within research, for example measurement of forces between the hoof and ground, and measurement of movements with high speed cameras or accelerometers. However these methods require considerable preparation, standardization, and expensive equipment as well as produce large amounts of data that are incomprehensible for the clinician.

Uranium (U) is a naturally occurring component in bedrock and under the "right" conditions it can dissolve and move into the ground water. Since many people in Sweden depend on drilled wells as their main drinking water supply, they may be exposed to the uranium in the water. Radioactive radiation is not the major concern associated with naturally occurring uranium. It is rather the chemical properties of uranium that make it a potential danger to human health. Uranium is proven to have toxic effects with respect to the functioning of the kidneys.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues have been received much attention in businessand management practises globally. Jensen & Yeh (2009, 3) state that ?The agenda ofCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as a factor in the process of globalization,and Chinese companies may sometimes feel pushed into this agenda without a clearunderstanding of the rationale behind it?. China?s textile and apparel industry, amanufacturing-based economy with its products bounding up with the consumers worldwide,has been facing enormous pressure to take CSR initiatives, particularly in relation toenvironmental issues and labor standards.

VSEM project and the need for a more efficient way of handling requirements andinformation are highly apparent.The overall objective of this thesis is divided into two parts:1. To identify criteria/factors leading to a successful introduction of an informationmanagement system.2. To develop an implementation process for a requirement management system ?the first step towards a PLM system in EE development at VCC.This will be done through interviews with employees, a literature review and an analysisof studies of three earlier projects within VCC.The conclusion of this study shows the great need for change in work methods fordesigners handling information and requirements. An implementation process has beenidentified with guidelines on how to handle different phases of the process.

Under sex månader våren 2007 har ett samarbete mellan Volvo Lastvagnar och två studenter från KTH, inriktning Integrerad produktutveckling vid institutionen för maskinkonstruktion, pågått i form av ett examensarbete på 20 poäng.Dagens AC-system i Volvos lastbilar avger 20-40 g/år av köldmediet R134a som är en kraftfull växthusgas. Detta sker främst genom diffusion via slangar och tätningsmaterial. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta fram förslag på tekniska lösningar på ett nytt AC-system. Eventuella idéer från befintliga värmepumpar och kylsystem skall studeras för att minska eller eliminera utsläppen helt. Fokus har lagts på själva köldmediekretsen och de ingående komponenterna för att därigenom ta fram koncept där systemet är så kompakt och lätt som möjligt.Arbetet delades upp i fyra olika faser: Förstudie, konceptstudie, utvecklingsfas och rapportfas.

Forestry and reindeer husbandry are entitled to use the same land for their operations. For this reason, conflicts occasionally arise between them. Soil scarification is a forestry operation which has a negative effect on the occurrence of reindeer lichen. Reindeer lichens are of crucial importance to reindeers and reindeer husbandry, especially in the winter when reindeers primarily feed on different lichen species (Cladina spp. and Cetraria spp.).

Att kombinera flera olika undersökningsmetoder i ett projekt är något som sker dagligen. Detta examensarbete har utförts i ett projekt som inom geotekniken kombinerar relativt sällan använda metoder. Samtidigt som i stort sätt hela undersökningsprogrammet är utfört på vatten.I examensarbetet utvärderas de geotekniska undersökningarna som Vectura Consulting genomförde för projektet City Link i Stockholm under tiden hösten 2011 till våren 2012. Undersökningarna utfördes på uppdrag av Svenska kraftnät för konstruktionen av City Link vilken är en TBM driven tunnel som skall gå under Centrala delarna av Stockholm. Examensarbetet är utfört på uppdrag av Vectura i Sundsvall där Per Nilsson har varit drivande i de frågeställningar som examensarbetet tar upp.De använda undersökningsmetoderna i projektet har varit Jb-sondering, reflektion- och refraktionseismik, MWD-styrd sänkhammarborrning och kärnprovtagning.

Trots långt driven datorisering sker fortfarande en stor del av informationsöverföringen mellan företag med hjälp av pappersdokument. I stort sett all information finns ursprungligen i ett datorsystem, men när det skall föras över till handelspartners eller myndigheter skrivs det ut på papper och skickas per fax, brev eller bud vidare till mottagaren. Denna registrerar till stor del samma uppgifter genom manuell inmatning i sitt datorsystem. Syftet med undersökningen är att identifiera viktiga faktorer som minskar gapet mellan småföretagets inställning till EDI och stora organisationers inställning till införandet och där finna framgångsfaktorer som överbryggar eller minskar gapet. Teorin påvisar att småföretag får mindre fördelar av EDI än de större företag som det har EDI koppling emot.

Independent schools are a central issue in the school world, the perception of independent schools varies and many people express opinions about them in the media. An independent school is according to the National Agency a school that has a different principal than the county or municipality. Independent schools may not charge fees but their revenue comes from municipal grants from municipalities (Berglund 2007, p. 10). An independent school can be driven by an association, foundation or company and to run an independent school requires a permit from the Education Department.The purpose of this paper is to see how four principals at independent schools with a Muslim profile are working to strengthen their students? Muslim identity in relation to the society they live in and how schools work with value issues.

Pets like dogs and cats have a considerable importance for humans and research demonstrate a variety of positive economic and social effects in society due to our pet companions. The presences of pets are increasing on a global scale with correlation to economic development in low- and middle income countries. For example dogs have doubled in India over a five year period. The feed industry for dogs and cats is also the fastest growing sector in the food industry and certain pets have a significant animal protein intake which, depending on the choice of resources may provide a high ecological footprint. Examples of environmental effects with distribution and manufacturing of pet food are increased greenhouse gas emissions, waste, use of water and energy.

Uppsatsen undersökte SSPF som är ett samverkansforum mellan socialtjänst, skola, polis ochfritid. Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka och jämföra vad SSPF innebär och hurdet praktiska arbetet ter sig utifrån mål, syfte, ansvarsfördelning, förutsättningar ochungdomars delaktighet. Syftet var också att identifiera likheter och skillnader i hur manarbetar med SSPF för att föra en diskussion kring hur det kan tänkas påverka de ungdomarsom är aktuella i SSPF, de ungdomar som befinner sig i riskzonen, samt de ungdomar somSSPF aktörerna inte möter.Metoden som användes var kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer i tre av Göteborgsstadsdelar, Angered, Centrum och Askim-Frölunda-Högsbo. I studien deltog 11 personer,bland dessa fanns representanter från socialtjänst, skola, polis och fritid samt koordinator förSSPF. Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av tidigare forskning och teorier inom begreppensamverkan, ungdomsproblematik och delaktighet.
