The aim of this essay is to see if there are any relationship between the four Megalithic graves, and the newly excavated dwelling site in Resmo socken on Öland. The Megalithic graves on Öland consist of one dolmen and three Passage graves. Is the excavated site a settlement? Since there are no signs of housing constructions, I will also explore other possible purposes of the site. What surprised the excavators was the concentration of pits that contained ceramics, flints and burned bones.

The thesis examines the nineteenth century German philosopher and philologist Friedrich Nietzsche?s early notion of how a word is generated in the process of perception. It does so by looking at the ?metaphorical transitions? Nietzsche talks about in the essay ?Über Wahrheit und Lu?ge im außermoralischen Sinne? (?On Truth and Lie in an Extra-MoralSense?). According to the relevant Passage in ?On Truth and Lie?? an image is first created as a metaphor for a stimulus and a word is then created as a metaphor for the image.

The aim in this thesis is to use carbon, nitrogen and sulfur isotope analysis on teeth and bone to track diet and mobility of the population as well as the individual level from the articulated and disarticulated individuals from the Passage grave Frälsegården, situated in Gökhem parish in the region of Falbygden, western Sweden.50 human samples were analyzed from tooth, mandibula and femur, together with 11 faunal samples from different bone elements of local wild and domestic animals.The results fall well in line with earlier stable isotope work done on Passage grave individuals from Falbygden in stable isotopes: A homogenous group with a diet which was clearly terrestrial and lived on a pretty high trophic level. It also seems that the analyzed individuals deliberately focused their food intake to the cultural and natural, megalith and limestone landscape of Falbygden, and not to its surroundings, even if the Passage grave is situated in the outermost areas of the region.A small study compares the sulfur results to with earlier work done on strontium isotopes. The results show that the different methods might provide a deeper understanding in the interpretation of the methods, and therefore suggesting that further work should be done to compare the methods..

With this thesis I have examined the views of religion among six comparative religion teacherstudents, with the perspecitve of their life stories. I have also examined what stance they want to take due to their personal beliefs in their forthcoming teaching. To achive this I have used in-depth interviews among the six soon examined teacher students, and within the interviews I have had a particularly focus on turning points of the students? life stories. Later on I have used their turning points in an analysis with the hypothesis of ?Rites des Passage? and ?Structure and Anti-Structure?.In my survey I have found a significant relationship between the students? life stories - inparticularly their backgrounds and tourning points - and their views of religion.

Ålen som vandrar till sjöar och vattendrag utsätts för vandringshinder, bland annat i form av vattenkraftverk, som hindrar ålen från att ta sig både till och från havet. Att skapa förbiPassager vid kraftverken är ett möjligt sätt att hjälpa blankålen vid dess vandring till havet. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om ålen föredrar en flyktväg vid vattenytan eller vid botten vid nedströms Passage av ett vattenkraftverk. Studien utfördes vid Alsters vattenkraftverk i Alsterälven, strax öster om Karlstad.

Begravningen beskrivs som en livskris där olika maktförhållanden uppstår. Olika sociala relationer inom gruppen lyfts fram.Ibn Fadlan beskriver hur gods och föremål strukturerades och förbrukades i och runt gravhögen. De kan liknas vid rituella objekt och kan knytas till rûs vardagliga sedvänjor och deras ekonomiska förhållanden.

Under ht08 och vt09 har vi gjort ett examensarbete där vi i gruppen utvecklat ett mekaniskt styrsystem för sjukhussängar. Det nya styrsystem ska underlätta det dagliga arbetet för personalen på sjukhusen, då det idag är svårt att kontrollera sängen när man är ensam och knuffar. Men med RaaLie fastmonterad på sängen kan man utföra arbetet själv, och det är mycket lättare att ta sig runt skarpa svängar och trånga Passage..

Projektets utgångspunkt är ett nytt konstmuseum i Uppsala, i området bakom Uppsala centralstation, som nyligen genomgått ett ansiktslyft.Museets långsmala karaktär har hämtats från det intilliggande godsmagasinet och från tomtens form. Genom byggnaden har ett diagonalt stråk öppnats, för att ge möjlighet åt fotgängare att passera genom byggnaden och för att skapa liv och rörelse på platsen.Genom fönstren i Passagen kan förbipasserande få en skymt av vad som händer inuti muséet. I Passagen ligger museets entré, den pedagogiska verksamheten och ett kafé för allmänheten.Museets fasad är inspirerad av den arabiska mashrabiyan. Byggnaden har fönster längs hela fasaden, som i sin tur är täckta av skärmar tillverkade av sträckmetall. Ljuset tillåts komma in i byggnaden samtidigt som sträckmetallen täcker fasaden och bevarar något av museets hemligheter för förbipasserande.Museets inre väggar består av massiva betongskivor, placerade i ett rutnät som fått sin riktning av Passagen genom huset.

There is a shortage of locally produced high quality protein concentrates in Europe andSweden. Local production would decrease the dependency on imported soybean and meet thedemand for organically grown feedstuff from ecological dairy farmers. Field bean (Viciafaba), peas (Pisum sativum) and sweet lupin (Lupinus angustifolius) are good alternatives tosoybean, but contain anti-nutritional substances (ANS) that could reduce their use as proteinconcentrates in dairy cow diets. The aim of this literature study was to review which ANSfield bean, peas and sweet lupin contain and whether they affect dairy cows negatively.Trypsin inhibitors and Chymotrypsin inhibitors (TI) were present in all three crops. TI couldbecome inactivated and degraded in the rumen, but due to the high Passage speed of thedigesta, most TI left the rumen in an active state.
