The Public Sector Scorecard (PSS) is a younger version of the balanced scorecard, created for public and nonprofit organizations. The latest model of PSS is divided into three main groups and seven perspectives, while the balanced scorecard consists of four perspectives. Organizations who use either PSS or the balanced scorecard are supposed to have a clear vision spread all over the unit. This study has sought differences between the two models of financial control in both theory and practice. The first part of the study is a theoretical comparison between the models? structures and terms used in them.

The purpose of this bachelor?s thesis is to examine video games, gamers and gaming from an information science perspective. The purpose of the study is partly to study video games as a type of information system and partly to study gamers information use, information seeking and also the experience of gaming. A selection of five games have been analysed using a topology for video game analysis created by Espen Aarseth. A quantitative investigation has also been made, in the form of a web survey distributed through four Swedish online forums, the result of which was analysed using Carol Collier Kuhlthaus model of the information seeking process.

Remote work has become increasingly widespread due to advances in digital technology and changing organizational structures, a shift initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to examine how leadership influences employee motivation in remote work environments. The aim is to deepen the understanding of which leadership styles are most effective in maintaining and enhancing motivation when traditional psychical interaction is absent. To investigate this, a qualitative research approach was applied, consisting of semi-structured interviews with both individuals in leadership positions and employees. The findings indicate that leadership plays a crucial role in shaping employees' motivation in remote contexts.

The aim of this paper is to examine the American movie trailer particularly its history, marketing and functions, presented as an historical overview from the serials of the early 1910s to the trailers of today. A trailer from each decade of the twentieth- and twenty-first centuries is selected which represent typical trends and shows how trailers historically functioned, including their formal, generic differences.The introduction focuses on the market in which the trailer operates, and raises the issue of the entertainment value of art or marketing, how the film industry works and to role of advertising. The second part of the introduction focuses on the development of film stars, and their importance in trailer campaigns. This brings in the question of the growth of Hollywood and new media forms/technologies. The manner in which new media also create a new type of audience is considered, which demonstrates how the trailers capture audience attention in new ways.The second part of the paper focuses on the history of the trailer and examines typical structures, of the different periods.The third part analyses how different trailers operate, and how the trailer industry stands at the beginning of a new era, the so-called Post-interactive era, which is discussed with regard to Spider-Man 2 and The Da Vinci Code..

Earth science is a dynamic system science that explores the structures and processes of the earth. Knowledge about the earth is important for citizens since the science is a vital part in the sustainable development of the society. Without good basic knowledge the citizens don?t have the possibility to anticipate in the questions and decision-making that concerns e.g. anthropogenic climate change. In the Swedish school system earth science is not an independent subject until academically studies at the University?s.

Its most prominent conclusion is that the valuation governance to some extent has an impact on the formal structures, but that it had no further effects on the employee?s way of work. The environment codes purposes (1 kap 1 § Miljöbalken) is to rule the laws. The purpose of the environment code is to promote sustainable development which will assure a healthy and sound environment for present and future generations. Definitions of a ?environmentally hazardous activities? 9 kap 1§ Miljöbalken) shall mean the discharges of wastewater, solid matter or gas from land, buildings or structures onto land or into water areas or ground water.

The purpose of this study is to examine discussions on the Swedish internet forum ?Flashback? regarding female body hair and the cultural norms that surround it. The discussion is centered around a broadcasted event in which a woman?s hairy armpit was incidentally shown, with a lot of viral hate as a result. Our purpose with this study is to get a deeper insight into viral hate towards women who challenge gender norms.

The aim of this quantitative study was to from a gender perspective understand and measure the mental health among young people as a sense of managing to handle situations and also how satisfied young people are with their personal qualities. The study also aims to see if there is a connection between these two ways of explaining mental health. This study takes its standpoint from a gender theory and gender stereotypes. The study was conducted as a survey with 100 young girls and boys, all of whom was students of a Swedish upper secondary school. The result of the study show that young people in general has a good sense of being able to handle situations.

Canine herpesvirus-1 (CHV-1) är ett virus som finns enzootiskt i Europas hundpopulation. Vid infektion hos vuxna hundar ses generellt inga eller milda symtom och viruset ligger sedan kvar latent i kroppen. Infektion av en dräktig tik kan dock resultera i abort eller dödfödsel av fostren och infektion av valpar yngre än tre veckor leder oftast till döden. Det finns ett antal faktorer som man funnit verkar predisponerande för en infektion med CHV-1, inklusive stress, kennelstorlek, kennelhosta samt bristande hygien. Det har föreslagits att en infektion skulle kunna förhindras genom isolering av tiken eller genom att höja valparnas temperatur. Det finns dock inga vetenskapliga stöd för att dessa två tillvägagångssätt skulle vara speciellt effektiva.

The implementation problem refers to the situation when political decisions are not implemented as intended by the decision makers. In this thesis I examine how one part of the new school reform GY11 has been implemented in Social Science in high school in Sweden. The part that interests me is entrepreneurial learning. Using implementation theory, and the actor properties understand, can and will, as described by Lennart Lundquist, I have interviewed five high school Social Science teachers in Malmö and Lund. The result was that they all understood the concept of entrepreneurial learning.

Bakgrund och problem: I Sverige finns ett stort latent underhållsbehov av flerbostadshus. De fastigheter som uppfördes mellan 1961-1975 berörs i synnerhet av detta på grund av den tekniska förslitningen och den höga andel av den totala bostadsvolymen som dessa utgör. Att lönsamt renovera dessa fastigheter utgör en stor utmaning för fastighetsägare framöver. Idag utvärderas renoveringsprojekten inför genomförandet med hjälp av nuvärdesmetoden men det finns betydliga brister med denna. Följderna av detta är, bland annat, att de osäkerheter och risker som är kopplade till projekten inte värderas tillbörligt samt beslutssituationen upplevs som oklar.

Vårt intresse till att göra denna undersökning grundas på det stora och växande utrymme som Landskrona har fått i medierna, särskilt efter höstens valresultat och de debatter som förts kring kriminaliteten i Landskrona. Den bild som har presenterats i medierna har således handlat om det som är problematiskt och hotfullt. Därav är vårt syfte med denna uppsats att ta reda på vad det är för slags brott som betraktas som mest problematiska och aktuella i Landskrona kommun och hur polisen, brottsförebyggande rådet och förebyggande enheten arbetar i brottsförebyggande syfte samt vad de anser är brottsförebyggande.Vi har utgått från den kvalitativa metoden och genomfört intervjuer med representanter från ovannämnda institutioner.Under intervjuernas gång har det framkommit att ungdomskriminalitet, ungdomsgäng och utomhusvåld är det som anses vara mest aktuellt och problematiskt för tillfället. Förutom brott nämnde intervjupersonerna även otrygghet bland invånarna, utanförskap, segregation och arbetslöshet som något aktuellt och problematiskt för Landskrona. Genom intervjuerna har vi dessutom kunnat ge en bild av hur de tre institutionerna arbetar brottsförebyggande samt vad de anser är brottsförebyggande arbete..

The aim of this master's thesis is to describe the management of free Internet resources in three Swedish research libraries. With the starting point in the increased quantity and importance of these resources, together with reflections on the change of the concept of collection, the thesis shows how and to what extent these freely accessible Internet resources are being integrated in the day-to-day work with collection development. It also elucidates the problems with the free Internet resources from the research libraries points of view. The study is based upon analyses of collection management literature and qualitative interviews with librarians at the chosen libraries. The thesis shows that the research libraries still have not come very far in their work of integrating the free Internet resources in their collections.

The tribo system ice-curling stone was investigated in order to understand the mechanisms behind the stones' behavior on the ice sheet. The problem with non-identical stones should also be addressed.The stone curls, that is, its sliding path deviates from a straight line to the right for a clock-wise rotation and to the left for a anti-clock-wise rotation. Several mechanisms to explain this behavior have been proposed over the years but none has been successful.By carrying out experiments at the local curling rink and studying silicon castings of ice- and stone-surfaces with scanning electron microscopy and vertical scanning interferometry, it has been decided that the curl is not due to dry friction, ice-debris or the difference in friction on the left and right side of the stone. The side force comes from the fact that the friction is higher at the back of the stone than at the front.The contact between stone and ice is never completely dry, nor in the hydrodynamic lubrication regime. It is probably a combination of hydrodynamic lubrication and a contribution from mechanical scratching of the ice.
