Svenska Spels möjligheter - När en skyddad marknad blir utsatt för konkurrens på Internet
Syfte/purpose: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur den svenska
spelmarknaden har påverkats av Internets framväxt. Uppsatsen avgränsas till att
se hur Svenska Spel bemöter de nya konkurrenterna på Internet. Det vill säga
vilka marknadsstrategier Svenska Spel använder sig av, dessutom undersöks hur
spelarna värderar de nya spelmöjligheter som framkommit.
/ The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the development of the
Internet has affected the Swedish betting market. The thesis is limited to see
how Svenska Spel is facing the new competitors on the Internet.
Konsolidering av v?vsp?nda papperstapeter: analys och metodutveckling
Printed and painted wallpaper on a weaved fabric backing was a common way to decorate homes in Sweden during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Not much is written about the craftsmanship in relation to the hanging of these wallpapers and even less about the conservation of the objects. Even so, many wall segments remain in situ and in museums and are more often than not in dire need of conservation such as deacidification and consolidation. These are composite objects, consisting of cellulose materials with different properties along with adhesives and paints. Analysis of the materials is required to ensure safe handling and choice of conservation materials, and to establish a treatment plan which will be executed in several steps.
This thesis aims to identify these steps and develop a method for conserving the wall segments with suitable materials, preferably without altering the source material to any significant degree.

The purpose of this essay is to present a thesis work that has been executed during a period of 10 weeks, as part of a bachelor degree in Graphic Design and Communication and also to present what has led to the design of a sales brochure for the freely distributed lifestyle magazine LKPG. The purpose of the thesis work was to examine the answers to the questions ?What does clients and local company owners want to achieve from their advertising in newspapers and magazines?? and ?How should a sales brochure for a freely distributed lifestyle magazine be designed to be at most advantage and out of most interest to its clients??. The work has been carried out through an competitors analysis, qualitative interviews, literature studies and a survey on the target group. The findings of the work are that the market of freely distributed magazines, both nationally and locally, is extremely wide and has many similar competitors.

The gas turbines in the Swedish secondary reserve are reaching the end of their technical lifetime, hence alternative solutions need to be considered. One of the solutions thought to have the greatest potential is the use of so called consumptionreduction. By entering contracts with large consumers, agreements are made to reduce consumption in the event of major disturbances in the power system and thus being used as a secondary reserve. This thesis investigates the feasibility of consumption reduction as part of the secondary reserve. This has been achieved by developing a requirement specification for the disturbance reserve and by studying the technical and economic potential for consumption reduction among a range of consumers.The technical potential for consumption reduction that fulfils the requirements for participating in the secondary reserve are on average 750 MW in SE 3 and 98 MW in SE 4.
Globalization vs Localization : En fallsstudie om Scanias marknadsföringsstrategier i Sydamerika och Asien
Problem formulation? Are there any factors affecting the choice of marketing strategy?? What is it that determines the degree for the company to use a standardized or a adapt marketing strategy?? How profitable is Scania's marketing strategy in each country?Objective: The overall aim of this study is based on local adaptation and global standardization to compare the degree to which the company Scania chooses to adapt or standardize its marketing to the South American and Asian markets.We also aim to compare and describe any factors that affect the countries' differences in marketing strategies and to evaluate and measure the profitability of marketing strategies in each market.Methodology: The study is limited to Scania's marketing in the truck market in Argentina, Brazil, Malaysia and Singapore from 2006 to 2010. In order to answer the study's problem formulation and purpose we have chosen to combine a qualitative and quantitative approach. Four interviews were conducted with marketing executives from Argentina, Brazil, Malaysia / Singapore and Sweden. We have also chosen to examine Scania's annual report and include figures on the market shares of Scania in the respective countries and the number of sold Scania truck which is then compared against the number of registered vehicles by country.

When communications traffic increasingly turned into data, IP telephony became a disruptive technology for the telecommunication business. IP telephony was a hot topic when voice over IP services started to become available to consumers in the 1990s. The new technology changed the rules of the game and many new actors entered the market.The purpose of this study is to describe, study, and analyze how the business models of the Swedish telecom sector developed in the middle of the 2000s. The study is delimited to the Swedish consumer market for telephony.The study is built mainly upon deep interviews with 24 prominent persons in the telecom sector in 2006. To aid understanding, two telecom companies that have been chosen to represent different kinds of actors are described and analyzed more closely.

Relationship Marketing - will banks be able to handle higher consumer mobility in the private market?The purpose of this paper is to gain an understanding of the factors that affect customer loyalty to the bank. Consumer mobility will probably increase as a result of political changes and pressures on the private banking market to become more competitive. This study was carried out using semi-structured interviews and were transcribed and analyzed with the help of models and theories centered on relationship marketing. The theories describe loyalty, the customer lifecycle and relationships between customers and organizations.
En analys av faktorer som påverkar den grundläggande förmågan rörlighet vid luftburna förband
Denna uppsats har skrivits som en del i de studier i krigsvetenskap jag erhållit under yrkesofficersprogrammet. Syftet med detta arbete är att ta fram faktorer som påverkar luftburna förband, vad gäller deras förmåga till rörlighet på marken. Detta för att ge en ökad förståelse samt bidra till utveckling av reglemente för luftburen bataljon.Den metod som används i uppsatsen är komparation med litteraturstudier som presenteras i deskriptiv form. Den teknik som används för insamling är litteratursökning. Två frågeställningar har behandlats; Vilka faktorer påverkar den grundläggande förmågan rörlighet hos luftburna förband? samt vad säger styrdokumenten om förmågan rörlighet vid luftburen bataljon i Försvarsmakten idag?Utifrån mina gjorda litteraturstudier av Operation Market Garden samt styrdokumenten för luftburen bataljon har jag fått fram att följande faktorer påverkar rörligheten vid luftburna förband: ledning (formering av förband, samordning), verkan (direkt, indirekt, pansarvärnsvapen) underrättelser, skydd, materiel/utrustning samt underhåll..

The essay is a discourse analysis covering the part of baby culture which is concerned with infants and books. The essay studies texts from libraries and children?s bookclubs in order to understand what it is they communicate, to whom and the conceivable consequences of the communicated message. One of the main purposes of the study is to determine what view of infants as social and cultural beings it is that arises from the texts.

It is a product well-known and highly exposed to the competition in the mar- ket.

This is a dissertation for a Bachelor Degree Project at the University of Skövde. The project is carried out in cooperation with the company Kinnarps AB.The objective of this project was to develop a new chair for café and lunch rooms, which should satisfy the markets expectations and demands and match Kinnarps AB?s assortment today. The project has contained everything from identification of user and customer needs and requirements to evaluation and building of a prototype.The result is a chair with a frame of tubular steel and there is nothing like it in Kinnarps AB?s assortment today.

De tre civilisationernas kontinent - En studie om Sydamerikas civilisationer i en globaliserad värld
In this thesis I analyse civilizations in South America. I construct civilizationalnarratives through the method of emplotment, to build a historic continuity, whichI subsequently connect to the theoretical framework. The theory emphasise that,when confronted with globalization and free market capitalism, civilizationsembark on different strategies to challenge the power of transnational marketforces. I find that South America is a polarised continent, and is divergingconcerning the relationship towards the USA and free trade agreements. On thesame time the issues that concern the social movements are not being reproducedin a significant matter at state level.
Ett nytt växtsortiment - för inglasade miljöer :
A new project has developed at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Alnarp during the spring of 2006. The garden design students has, during the course Interior Garden Design designed and built an construction with a new range of plants for Swedish conservatories. The plants are mainly from the cool temperate areas, instead of the tropical which often are the most common in public spaces. This means, among other things, that the cost for warming is very low.
The working process and the construction carried on as workshops in the conservatory at Trädgårdslaboratoriet in Alnarp. During a few weeks the hole construction is completed.
