With the growing amount of citizens with another mother tongue than Swedish, the need for assessment instruments in other languages than Swedish within the Swedish health care increases. To enable this, the knowledge of multilingualism and adequate assessments are required. The aim is to develop a modern Arabic version of a screening material that is comparable to what is used in the Swedish clinic in the assessment of people diagnosed with aphasia. In the present study, Short Aphasia Examination (Kortfattad Afasiprövning), which is one of the few screening material is available in Swedish and among the ten most frequently used assessment materials (Blom Johansson, Carlsson & Sonnander, 2011). Translation and adaptation was made to the Standard Arabic (KAPARABISKA) and Arabic dialect of Hadari (KAPHADARI).

This essay aims to examine and compare the attitudes of decision makers in the local government and representatives of pensioners in two different geographic areas. The main questions were:- their attitudes towards the "stay home principle" (kvarboendeprincipen, a principle that aims to make it possible for people with a handicap, disease or age to stay in their homes instead of moving to nursing homes).- their attitudes towards nursing homes for old people- their attitudes towards the possibility of staying at home when you are old and handicapped and in need of care.The essay is built on qualitative research methods, based on interviews and on a review of research in the field.The author found a complex picture of attitudes. Everybody thinks that the best is to live in your own home as long as possible, except from those who live with Alzheimer´s disease. They showed different opinions on the issue of the need for moving to nursing homes. This might result in forcing people to stay at home.

The purpose of this study was to describe perceived psychosocial work environment and musculoskeletal complaints among baggage handlers, and to evaluate whether there is any linear relationship between them. The study is a questionnaire based cross-sectional study, and part of an ongoing larger project. Therefore, the number of forms has been limited to those that were collected in the project by 2010-11-25 (N=117). The questions analyzed in the study come from the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire and ?Nordiska Ministerrådets formulär om besvär i rörelseorganen?, respectively.

Patienten med demens behöver vårdas av personal med erforderlig utbildning. Omvårdnaden av dess patienter är i högsta grad lika viktig som den medicinska vården. I syfte att belysa omvårdnad som förebygger och åtgärdar oro och agitation hos patienter med demenssjukdom användes en systematisk litteraturstudie. Intresseområdet definierades och en fråga ställdes till litteraturen relaterad till syftet, kriterier för avgränsning av artiklar, fastställdes, sökningar genomfördes i databaser och genom manuell sökning i tidskrifter. Relevanta artiklar granskades utifrån kvalitet och bevisvärde.

Inledning: Forskning visar att smärta vid stora trauman är underbehandlat, vilket kan ge ett förlängt sjukdomsförlopp och leda till komplikationer för patienten. Smärtbedömning är en viktig del i smärtbehandlingen och kan göras med hjälp av observationer av fysisk status och smärtskattningsinstrument. Eftersom ett stort trauma även innebär en psykologisk påfrestning för patienten är det viktigt att lindra både smärtan och det psykiska lidandet.Syfte: Att beskriva ambulanssjuksköterskors uppfattningar om traumapatienters upplevelser av smärta samt beskriva ambulanssjuksköterskors erfarenheter av smärtbehandling och omvårdnadsåtgärder som lindrar lidande hos dessa patienter.Metod: En intervjustudie med elva ambulanssjuksköterskor. Intervjuerna analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Ambulanssjuksköterskans arbete vid smärtlindring vid stort trauma präglades av avvägningar och prioriteringar. Dessa gjordes utifrån ambulanssjuksköterskans egna bedömningar samt de riktlinjer som fanns inom ambulanssjukvården.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka tillgänglig litteratur beträffande taktil beröring som alternativ smärtbehandlingsmetod samt vilka effekter taktil beröring har på patientens smärtupplevelse och för vårdgivande personal. Metoden som användes var Goodmans modell för evidensbaserad litteraturgranskning. Tio artiklar granskades enligt kriterier av Polit och Beck (2006) samt Willman et al (2006). Resultat visar vikten av beröring som metod för minskning av smärta, samt andra effekter som förbättrad sinnestämning och ökad livskvalitet hos patienter. Positiva och negativa effekter av beröringsbehandling för vård-personalen har tagits upp i några inkluderade studier..
