This is a qualitative study aiming to illuminate and gain better understanding of deliberate self-harm. The study has a narrative perspective and is based on three women?s life stories, focusing on a period when they had an active self-harming behaviour. The study examines what the participants experienced as important to the initiation and the cessation of the deliberate self-harm. It is also examining identity performances and turning points which can be discerned in the life stories.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera hur diskursen om gentrifiering framställs i tidningsmedier, där Södermalm i Stockholm figurerar som ett idealtypiskt exempel på en plats som anses ha gentrifierats. Studien har utförts genom tillämpandet av kritisk diskursanalys via Faircloughs riktlinjer, samt ett teoretiskt ramverk bestående av sociologiska teorier angående urbanitet och social stigmatisering. Här tillämpas Georg Simmels och Pierre Bourdieus teorier som stadsliv, habitus och kulturellt kapital, Norbert Elias syn på etablerade och Outsiders samt David Harveys formulering om rätten till staden. Analysen består av tio tidningsartiklar publicerade i tidningarna Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens nyheter, Metro, Mitt i Södermalm och Svenska Dagbladet. Resultatet indikerar att gentrifiering först och främst anses som en form av klassrelaterad urbaniseringsprocess, som tar form i utförsäljning av hyresbostäder, skapandet av en ny medelklass, och populärkulturella trender.

The purpose of this study was to examine how young people who have chosen not to drink alcohol experience themselves and their surroundings. The aim was to find out what role temperance plays in their perceived identity. I also wanted to find out how they experienced the views of them, temperance and the temperance movement in their surroundings. Finally, I was interested in the question about alcohol, witch significance they believed it had for them and their surroundings. As theoretical ground, I used Howars S.

This study intends to investigate the experiences of labeling on people with a ADHD diagnos and how individuals with an ADHD diagnosis handles labeling. In today's society normality is is something that is pursued and the individuals that do not meet the normality are perceived as deviant. The study is conducted with a qualitative method and is based on three autobiographies where individuals with an ADHD diagnosis writes about their life. The study deals with postmodern constructivism which is explaining that the normalization and deviances are constantly changing, both depending on time and context. The results and analysis of this study are presented under three main headings that are related to the study's research questions.

Vi har utöver dem använt statistik från kriminalvården för att belysa områdets omfattning. Rapporterna beskriver de problem interner möter vid frigivning, såsom bostad och sysselsättning.

The purpose of this study is to examine how pupils in high school see on the subject violence, and see how their experience of the subject is. The purpose of this study is also to see how common violence is belong juveniles and to examine their attitudes among the subject. We will in our examine and research among violence in the Swedish schools get an insight of how the violence in the school looks like and how wide spread violence really is. We want threw our objective sight and by using quantitative and qualitative interview methods give you readers an insight to the daily school world, we want to find out how the pupils themselves experience the school environment and what cautions teachers and other staff take to reduce this problem. Our main question is: ? What kind of vision do the pupils have on violence in school, and what can be a factor to the increasing violence in the schools of Sweden.

Denna studie syftar till att förstå de före detta kriminellas problematik relaterat till stigmatiseringsprocessen. Studien vill bidra med en förståelse till hur före detta kriminella upplever den stigmatisering som finns i samhället. Frågeställningarna bygger kring stigmatiseringsprocessen och behandlar områden på organisatorisk, social och teknisk nivå av denna process. Den organisatoriska nivån hanterar de samhälleliga organisationer som bidrar till utanförskapet. Den sociala nivån beskriver de sociala relationerna som är av betydelse för integreringen.

Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) is a quality control system created by the European Union (EU) to protect integrity of certain food and drinks that are produced in a specific area in a unique way. By protecting these products, the EU can certify that the traditional region-specific methods of food and drink production are preserved. The EU countries that follow such a system are mostly from Southern Europe. For instance in France, the PDO system has helped improve the income for farmers, boosted the rural development and assured protection for farmers against the abuse of their brand and the selling of their products by Outsiders. In Sweden, there are no PDO products yet, instead there is Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) and Traditional Speciality Guarantee (TSG) that are not as protective as PDO.

We have studied the process of recruiting young people to the white power movement. With the help of theoretical concepts as Outsiders and Stigma, we have elaborated the purpose of the study. The focus of the study lays in finding out which elements contributes to adolescence seeking membership in white power, and furthermore what white power organizations offers young people, to attract them to recruitment. We also want to find out if it possibly lays a desire for communion, behind adolescences decision to join these movements, and also how the communion manitains within the group? To expand our knowledge in the field of White Power, we have taken note of a body of literature that deals with the current topic, and previous research that treats questions about subculture, community and recruitment.

Abstract Chronic heart failure is a common disease in elderly, and is the most common reason for hospitalization in patients over 65 years of age. Research on the elderly and heart failure often focus on treatment strategies, less research is available on patients' own experiences of living with chronic heart failure. The purpose of this interview study, was to gain more knowledge about patients´ own experiences of living with chronic heart failure. Nine patients were interviewed and the text was transcribed verbatim and it was then analyzed with a phenomenological hermeneutical method. From the analysis, three main themes emerged.

Uppsatsen kommer att behandla socialt samspel i ett damfotbollslag med titeln ?Vinna som ett lag, förlora som ett lag?? Damfotbollen har genomgått en förändring från 1800-talets början fram till idag. Fotbollen har under många år ansetts som en manlig sport, och även om det finns många kvinnliga fotbollsspelare, är det fortfarande en manligt betraktad idrott. Vi är båda två fotbollsspelare som har erfarenhet från flick- och damfotboll. Vi har spelat för att vi har tyckt att det varit kul, men även för att vi som lagidrottare har en vilja av att vinna.

Every day a large numbers of transactions occur by people with different backgrounds. Insiders? are a part of them and are considered to have an insight in companies that is not accessible to Outsiders. This affects the market conditions for the participants when trading stocks, where individual participants regularly have the possibility to earn abnormal returns at the expense of others. Although Sweden, Germany and the United States continually keep developing the insider trading regulation, research shows that insiders? still have the ability to earn abnormal returns.

Eco-design is all about improving products environmental performances throughout the products lifecycle by including the environmental aspect into the product development process. There are a large number of different tools that can be used for this, but there are several factors that can affect which one will be the best to use. Some tools for eco-design takes comprehensive studies and can only be performed by experts, while some tools can be used more time- and cost efficient and with basic knowledge. The choice of tool should be based on the company?s situation.This report describes the research of how the design and furniture company Blå Station could include a tool for eco-design in their product development process.

Den här uppsatsen handlar om individer som är uppväxta i två närliggande statsdelar i Uppsala under 1990- 2000-talet.  Den ena stadsdelen är ett högstatusområde och det andra området är ett lågstatusområde. Mellan områdena finns betydande skillnader gällande etnisk sammansättning, arbetslöshet, boendeform och inkomst. I högstadiet blandas ungdomarna från respektive bostadsområde. Syftet med uppsatsen är att genom intervjuer undersöka och analysera relationen mellan individerna från de olika stadsdelarna, om det fanns en känsla av ?vi och dom? och hur den tog sig i uttryck samt hur det påverkade ungdomars identitetsskapande.
