The residential yard at Kvarteret Landsfiskalen 1, in the area Herrgården in Rosengård, Malmö was built in 1971 and has since then been reconstructed twice, in 1984 and 2008. The yard is found in an area which was built during the years 1965 ? 1974, a period in which the swedish goverment approved a decision to build one million homes, and much of the events in this particular yard is also typical for the process in many other areas built during the same period.At the original construction the design of the yard was entirely incused by the pressure in time and finance, one was under at that time, in order to over- come the housing shortage. The design it has nevertheless been given, reflects the esthetic ideals of that time well.The building of the area was barely finished when the swedish authori- ties started handing out grants in order to support the rearmament of the outdoor environment in the areas built during the so called ?million program?.

This diploma-work assess the public outdoor space. It has its starting point in, Ålidhem, a town district of Umeå. I have been studying public spaces in the outdoor environment. In this essay this refers to the spaces between the houses. What they are, what they contain, how they function and how they can improved.

Barns utveckling och lärande i utemiljön : Pedagogers uppfattningar av fenomenet utemiljö i förskolan

Utemiljön har stor betydelse för barns utveckling och lärande då den engagerar flersinnen samtidigt. Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka vad pedagoger i förskolan harför uppfattningar om utemiljöns betydelse för barns utveckling och lärande samt hur deuppfattar sin egen roll i relation till barns utveckling och lärande i utemiljön. I studienanvände vi oss av en kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer utifrån en fenomenografiskansats. I resultatet framkom det att pedagogerna anser att utemiljön har stor betydelseför barns utveckling och lärande då barnen ges möjlighet att träna sin motorik, fantasioch kreativitet, olika lärande innehåll samt att den främjar barns hälsa. Pedagogernauppfattar sin egen roll som medupptäckare och observatör.

Etableringsproblem på den ryska marknaden : Svenska företag i Moskva och Sankt Petersburg

In this essay we map and evaluate obstacles and problems that can occur during the establishment of international companies in Russia. This is done by investigating Swedish companies, which are established in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. We used secondary and primary data from books, previous surveys, reports, articles and the Internet. We also interviewed the following companies: Alfa Laval, Kockum Sonics AB, Höganäs Keramik, Skanska, Assa Abloy, Advakom, AnoxKaldnes, Lindab, Delovoj Peterburg, HL-Display and also a journalist from the Swedish Radio.Most of the problems named by the interviewees were similar, but some differences were also found. The differences were primarily found in the ranking of importance between the different problems.

In this thesis I have decided to take a closer look into my own ?backyard?. A river that runs through my hometown, Akureyri, has been a thorn in some people?s side. Glerá river has taken lives but it has also given the town possibilities to develop.

The aim of the study was to look into five school leaders? ideas of recreational activities. Alkohol inom äldreomsorgen : Hur hanteras problematiken?

The purpose of our qualitative study is to investigate how the caretakers, in the elderly care,interpret and manage the issue of alcohol problems in elderly people. We have beenperforming semi-structured interviews on 9 people, on different levels in the elderly care.There were 3 elderly care managers, 1 nurse, 1 assistance administrator and 4 auxiliarynurses, who all, at some level, work with alcohol problems in elderly people. Thoseinterviews were performed singularly, with one exception: we interviewed an elderly caremanager and her 2 auxiliary nurses at the same time. To analyse our empirics, we have usedthe theories of Power and Ageism. Our study shows that the auxiliary nurses, who are theones who must deal with these problems, have great difficulties to perform their work becausethey have no qualified knowledge about alcohol problems.

Fritidspedagogernas intentioner med barns utomhusvistelse

Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka och komma fram till fritidspedagogernas intentioner med barns utomhusvistelse. Mina frågeställningar var hur fritidspedagogerna ser på utomhusvistelsen? Hur verksamhetens utomhusvistelse formas med deras uppfattning som grund? Hur pedagogerna ser på sin roll i utomhusvistelsen? Samt vilken/vilka kunskaper och vilket lärande pedagogerna anser att barn tillägnar sig genom utomhusvistelsen?Min studie grundar sig på kvalitativa intervjuer med fem stycken fritidspedagoger. I studien framkom att pedagogerna har olika pedagogiska intentioner med barnens utomhusvistelse samt att de ser denna miljö som en miljö av stort värde både för barns utveckling och för deras lärande. Därför är fritidspedagogerna väldigt positiva till utomhusmiljön och ser stora möjligheter i denna miljö.

Att möta döden En litteraturstudie som belyser sjuksköterskors upplevda problem, dess följder samt underlättande faktorer i omvårdnaden av döende patienter

Death can be seen as a sensitive subject and can by that be difficult for many people to talk about. Working as a nurse can imply caring for severe ill and dying patients, which can be regarded as a task that makes great demands. The aim of the present literature review is to illustrate nurses' experiences of problems in association with the care of dying patients to be aware of these. Nine scientific articles were analysed and the result showed that the problems the nurses experienced could be related to four different categories: problems related to organisa-tion/resources, to the nurse herself, to the patient and to family members. The literature review also illustrates consequences of these problems for nurses, and which components that could simplify the nursing care of dying patients..

Miljöarbete i förskoleklass : Jämförande studie om hur pedagoger integrerar miljöarbete i verksamheten och barnens kännedom om återvinning

The purpose of this study is to investigate what knowledge children in preschool have about recycling, and to examine how teachers work with environmental efforts to increase children's understanding of environment and sustainable development. And if there is differs between the two preschool classes, one of which has a environmental profile. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interview methods of teachers and children, and observation of the children during a sorting exercise with a number of garbage objects. The result shows that teachers in the environment profiled preschool spend more time per week on work related to environmental and natural issues and worked more thematic. Similarity between this preschool classes is that the use of outdoor education to get into environmental awareness.

Utveckling av mobilapplikation för lutfrenare i möbel

During the year 2014, Artex AB has worked to launch a new product whose function is to locally purify the air. The product is a headboard and its purpose is to give the user clean air while sleeping. The air purifier has different speeds and it`s up to the user to choose which effect that will be on. To get the best experience of the product as possible, the air purifier shall be controlled by a mobile application. In that way the user can increase and decrease the fan speed, even when the user not is home.

Matematik i förskolan : Hur arbetar pedagoger med matematik utomhus på förskolor med olika pedagogiska inriktningar (traditionell, i ur och skur och Reggio Emilia)?

In this essay, I have interviewed four pedagogues from three preschools whit different pedagogical purposes. The purpose was to find out how they work with mathematics outdoor. In addition to interviews, I have conducted observations at each preschool. The different preschools are one traditional, one Reggio Emilia and one ?all weather? (Friluftsfrämjandet) preschool.

Efficient treatment of adolescents with behavioural problems

The purpose of this essay is to investigate which components previous scientific studies suggest that an efficient treatment for adolescents with behavioural problems should contain. For this purpose, an extensive review of scientific research conducted in Scandinavia has been read and will be presented in this essay. This essay also present an introduction to residential care in Sweden as well as to an alternative form of treatment for adolescents with behavioural problems called Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC). The result of this essay suggest that treatment of adolescents with behavioural problems should be based on the emphasis of risk/resilience factors of the youth and that the treatment should be adapted to the youth?s individual personality and way of learning.

Utomhusmiljön som en lärandemiljö : Sex förskolepedagogers syn på utomhuspedagogik och utomhusmatematik

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka möjligheter samt hinder pedagoger verksamma inom tre olikt profilerade förskolor ser med utomhuspedagogik och utomhusmatematik i förskolans verksamhet samt att lyfta fram likheter och skillnader i pedagogernas synsätt relaterat till förskoleprofilen.En kvalitativ forskningsansats har använts med intervju som metod. Sex pedagoger har intervjuats - två pedagoger på en Reggio Emilia - inspirerad förskola, två på en I ur och skur förskola samt två på två olika oprofilerade förskolor.Resultatet av studien bygger på vår tolkning av pedagogernas utsagor och visar att pedagogerna, oavsett profilering, ser övervägande fler möjligheter än hinder med utomhuspedagogiken och utomhusmatematiken. De möjligheter som framkommit i resultatet beskrivs med hjälp följande rubriker; konkret och sinnligt lärande, hälsa, socialt samspel, motorisk utveckling, eget ansvar, fysiska miljön, naturmaterial och pedagogens inställning. De hinder som resultatet pekar på är relaterade till faktorer som tid, personalbrist, material, väder och pedagogens inställning. Samtliga pedagoger ser möjligheter med den sinnliga inlärningen och den grovmotoriska träningen utomhus.
