SUMMARYThere was no previous study in what high level dressage riders had for ideas of how to best prepare for their training sessions with an instructor. Neither any study of how high level dressage riders seemed to be more or less susceptible to the instructions from their instructor during their training sessions. If the sport had more knowledge about this, it might result in more riders on a higher level. The purpose of this study was to find out how high level dressage riders are preparing themselves for the best result for an instructor led training session and how they could bring as much as possible instructions from the coach. The two questions of the study were: How are high level dressage riders preparing themselves for a training session with an instructor, practically and mentally, and how can they affect their susceptibility to instructions?The study was carried out both by reviewing existing literature and studies in general education and pedagogy in the riding education, and by a qualitative interview study of six dressage riders who rode on a difficult level at the competitions, during the year of 2009.

Use of lighting is crucial to make public urban places available during dark hours. Landscape architects participate in planning of lighting, but during our education there is very little taught on the subject. Through this study we approach the subject of lighting by looking into lighting methods for urban plant materials during winter. In this thesis we look into ways to emphasize the visible characters and experiences of urban plants during winter season using light. Target audience are landscape architect students and landscape architects without knowledge of lighting. The part of the thesis that describe basic conditions for, and visual characters of plants can be useful to lighting designers without knowledge in this subject. Working methods used were the following: ? Pre-study about light and lighting techniques through literature and dialogues. ? Compiling important visual winter plant characters through photography and literature. ? Outdoor light experiments with plants.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att försöka förstå varför mentala problem vid ett framträdande i sång uppkommer samt att hitta lösningar till dessa. Bakgrunden till att jag vill skriva om detta är att jag under praktiker och arbeten med sångelever märkt att just mentala problem ofta hindrar människor från att bland annat framträda inför en publik. Dessutom känner jag mig själv hindrad av denna typ av problem vid framföranden. Mina frågeställningar har bland andra varit hur sångaren påverkas av sin nervositet och vad kritik spelar för roll. Självförtroende och självkänsla är förutom nervositet och kritik termer som dykt upp vid flertalet tillfällen under arbetets gång.

De senaste årens tekniska utveckling på datorområdet har även gett återverkningar inom distansutbildningen. Den nya Informationstekniken (IT) har används mest för att utveckla kommunikationen mellan lärare och studenter på distansutbildningarna. I utgångsläget har tekniken alltså används för att underlätta arbetet inom kurserna, inte för att utveckla metoder för hur undervisning ska bedrivas. Elektroniskt lärande (e-learning) kan förklaras som ?Teknikbaserat lärande? (technology-based learning) och innefattar all form av undervisning som sker med hjälp av elektroniska media.

Title: Language Through Music. Music as a Motivator for Language Acquisition.The purpose of this essay is to examine what there is to gain by integrating music and language to promote language learning. Theory: Different theories will be presented to orientate music in history. Theories on the connection between music and language will follow and among others suggestopedi will be explained. Theories that will be presented point to positive connections between music and language concerning language acquisition.

Olika reformer har avlöst varandra i skolans värld och varje reform har medfört förändrade krav på skolans verksamhet. Varje läroplan bygger på föreställningar om vad kunskap och lärande är. När Lpf 94, läroplan för de frivilliga skolformerna, kom fanns där en förändrad syn på kunskap och lärande. Kunskapsbegreppet utvidgades i fyra olika kunskapsformer de så kallade fyra f:en. Förståelse av fenomen har fått en central plats och eleven förväntas att inta ett vetenskapligt förhållningssätt till sina studier genom ett djupinriktat lärande.

I mitt arbete undersöker jag tre personers upplevelse av vad rytmik och musikterapi är. Jag bad dem också jämföra rytmik och musikterapi för att hitta likheter och skillnader. Jag har läst om Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, som anses vara rytmikens grundare. Jag drar också paralleller till Howard Gardner och John Dewey. För att få en djupare förståelse av vad musikterapi är har jag läst bland annat Even Ruuds ?Varma ögonblick?, och Anita Granbergs ?Tre svenska utbildningar i musikterapi?.

Title: The key to the positive spiral - A study of musicians views of their practicing. The purpose with this paper is to make clear how continuous practicing on one element affects not just the specific part but also other things. Is it possible to find a positive spiral where everything can be better if you focus your practicing on one thing? Can this element if it is done daily in a qualitative way transform to a key which will help you to unlock the door to the positive spiral? Are there more keys to find? I am going to reflect my ideas in this paper through a philosophical, psychological and the brain sciences perspective. Quality in action is going to be compared with the quality that you need to set a successful goal, and to reach the state of mind called flow you will need both these qualities.

Syftet med denna studie är att försöka uppmärksamma några lärares arbete med elever med AD/HD-problematik i en grundskola i Stockholms förort. Ungefär en av åtta elever som börjar skolan i Sverige har dessa symptom (Gillberg, 1996). Vi har valt att undersöka vilka pedagogiska strategier lärarna på skolan använder sig av med barn med dessa svårigheter i sin undervisning och i sitt bemötande. Vi har även valt att undersöka hur dessa lärare utformat klassrumsmiljön för att eleven på bästa sätt ska anpassas till den pedagogiska verksamheten samt tagit reda på vilken hjälp lärarna får från skolan i form av extra resurser. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie där vi intervjuat klasslärare, rektor och specialpedagog och sedan jämfört informationen från våra informanter med tidigare forskning och litteratur.

Detta examensarbete har haft som målsättning att med hjälp av akustisk design finna nya angreppssätt för landskapsarkitekten att ta sig an komplexa utemiljöer. Utifrån ett övergripande syfte att öka kunskapen om skapandet av den goda utemiljön både hos författaren själv och inom fältet rumslig design har två huvudfrågeställningar formulerats: Hur kan jag som landskapsarkitekt ta hjälp av akustisk design för att gestalta med fokus på det som hörs snarare än det som syns? Hur påverkas landskapsarkitektens designprocess av detta nya perspektiv i arbetet med att förbättra ett existerande, komplext landskap i staden? För att besvara dessa frågor har en litteraturstudie samt en fallstudie genomförts, för att först inhämta befintlig kunskap inom ämnet och sedan testa denna i praktiken. Litteraturstudien presenteras som en teoribakgrund, där teorier dels om landskapsarkitektens uppdrag och designprocess och dels om ljudlandskapet och akustisk design introduceras. Även begreppen rekreativt vardagslandskap respektive urbant trafikstråk utreds, då dessa utgör kontexten för fallstudien.

The singing-voice ? Differences and similarities between male and female singing-voices in a pedagogical perspectiveThe primary purpose of the present study is to create a basis for a deeper understanding of the male singing-voice. Within the above purpose the present study also aims at comparing differences and similarities between the male and the female singing-voice, and examining possible pedagogical differences in teaching male and female singing students.The study is partly a literature study where existing studies in the field of the singing-voice are examined, in which the male singing-voice is described in relation to the female one. The study also comprises an interview study where four professional singing-teachers, two male and two female, are being interviewed according to an interview guide (see appendix A) focusing on pedagogical aspects of the male and the female singing-voice.The results of the study show that the anatomical functions of the singing-voice are the same whether you are male or female. This also holds true for the basic singing-technique which is the same for both sexes.

The Swedish cooperative Lantmännen Ekonomiska Förening has initiated a project labelled "Operation Blåljus" that includes an extensive program for closing down elevators. The number of elevators will be reduced from 92 to approximately 15 after harvest of 2007. The objective of Blåljus is to increase the price of grain with 10 öre/kg. A project has been initiated at the Lantmännen Grain division where the purpose is to provide the farmers with support in their decisions and practical advice how they can load a 35 ton grain truck on 30 minutes. The result from the project will serve as a support system to the farmer in his ambition to achieve cost efficient systems to load a truck with grain on the farm.

Många invandrare i Sverige tycks uppleva sin bakgrund som ett hinder i arbetsrekryteringen. Emellertid är det relativt okänt huruvida den andra parten dvs. de som beslutar i anställningsärenden också anser att den arbetssökandes etniska bakgrund utgör ett hinder för anställning. Därför är tanken med denna uppsats att undersöka hur personer med ansvar för rekrytering inom akademin tenderar att resonera kring olika aspekter på etnicitet vid rekrytering. Min empiri grundar sig på ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt med halvstrukturerade intervjuer och med spår av kvantitativt beskådande i form av statistiska mätningar.

Gross motor skills among Swedish pupils. An overview of functional motor abilities among Swedish children and adolescents.IntroductionPhysical Education (PE) teachers in Sweden have noticed that pupils are getting worse in their ability to manage gross motor skills and in their aerobic practice. The gross motor skills and coordinative skills are the solid ground for sports and other health activities. If not developing their gross motor skill children tends to avoid taking part in games and sports. The benefits of sports and outdoor activities such as social and health benefits can therefore be missed.

This study examines the experiences and perspectives of after-school program teachers through a qualitative research approach. The purpose is to deepen the understanding of their experiences within the after-school setting and how these insights might contribute to the development of this environment. Semi-structured and narrative interviews were used for data collection, allowing a flexible and open conversational format where participants could express both concrete opinions and implicit thoughts. Following Ahrne and Svensson's (2022) argument, which emphasizes the importance of qualitative interviews in capturing experiences of individuals active within specific social settings, this method is considered well-suited for the study?s purpose. The narrative interviews provided the interviewees with the freedom to describe their own experiences in detail, while the semi-structured interviews ensured a foundational structure and opportunities for follow-up questions.
