Title: Wes Montgomery and his approach to the guitar's fingerboardThe purpose of this study is toinvestigate Wes Montgomery's approach to the fingerboard. It is based not only on audio but also on the visual performance. The tablature matches exactly with Montgomery's playing. The study analyzes the way he moved on the fingerboard and presents a theory why he moved in that particular way. The study leads to a discussion of various possible explanations for Montgomery's special way of playing.Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka Wes Montgomerys förhållande till gitarrens greppbräda.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate what the work situation of children's librarians looks like in the year 2000, after the changes in society which took place since the 1980's. Did the tasks of children's librarians change during the nineties, and if so, in what way and why have they changed? Which new knowledge needs emerged for children's librarians during the nineties, and what was the cause of these new needs? Finally I want to know which needs for professional development arose, and how these needs are fulfilled. The thesis is based on qualitative interviews with children's librarians, library managers, library consultants, one representative of the Swedish school of Library and Information Studies and one member of SAB's children and youth committee. The study reveals that the identity of children's librarianship is strongly associated with the stimulation of language and reading.

Utifra?n en etnografisk arbetsmetod observerades en svenskla?rare pa? en gymnasieskola under fyra lektionstimmar fo?r att underso?ka hur la?raren kommunicerade med sina elever ickeverbalt. Parallellt med observationerna intervjuades ba?de la?raren och eleverna som deltog i underso?kningen.

According to the Läroplan för förskolan, Lpfö 98, are pre-schools suppose to introduce the written language and embrace childrens curiosity about the ability to communicate with the written language. The purpose with this research is therefor to study the attitudes of pre-school teachers towards three- to five years olds writing and also to shred some light over which role teachers and other adults have when children learn to write. The earlier research contains different theories about how children in pre-schools conquer the written language and the teachers role in this process. Teachers attitudes towards and thoughts about childrens early writing could be made visible through interviews with teachers who all currently work at pre-schools. The results indicate that pre-school teachers have different attitudes towards childrens early attempts to write.

Diagnosis of adhd, the cause and consequence. A study about the teachers thought about it.The purpose of this study was to examine teachers experience and views about children diagnosed with adhd, and what implication and effects it gives to the pedagogy strategies in the classroom.This is a qualitative study based on the experience of six teachers from primary school. My results have been compiled and compared to special educational research about adhd, from three different perspectives.The results showed that the teachers who have been working as teachers for a longer period, think that the problems of adhd occur primarily due to environmental causes, but then also say that they think the individual causes matters. It is also these teachers that talks very well about medication as a treatment to cure adhd symptoms. The teachers who have worked the shortest time, most of them have some special education from the teacher education.

Syftet med denna studie var att få en ökad förståelse för hur och varför personalen på en institution som drivs av Statens institutionsstyrelse, bemöter ungdomar olika utifrån kön och vilka faktorer som spelar in i dessa skillnader. Vidare så ville jag även fördjupa mig i hur reflektion som verktyg kan användas till ett ökat lärande och utveckling hos personalen. Kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med åtta anställda har genomförts samt ett observationstillfälle på vardera avdelningen. För att tolka resultaten har en hermeneutisk ansats använts. Resultatet visar på att personalen bemöter ungdomarna olika beroende på kön och vilken avdelning personalen arbetar på.

This study investigates whether teachers working with children ages 6 ? 9 are including an LGBTQ perspective in their teaching methods. The purpose is to critically examine sexuality and gender as part of the teaching methods in Swedish schools; whether teachers are working with LGBTQ questions in their classes, and if so, how. The following research questions are answered: Are the teachers incorporating an LGBTQ perspective in their classes, and if so, in what sense?Are LGBTQ questions relevant and of interest in the education?Do teachers feel like they have gained the right tools in their pedagogical education and/or in their workplace to work with LGBTQ questions in their class room? And if so, in what way? The method used is qualitative research in the form of interviews and observations.

Denna uppsats berör barnets lärande i skilda museala miljöer, sett ur museipedagogens perspektiv. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad museiansvariga och museipedagoger anser deras verksamhet kan erbjuda i form av lärande och lek. Samt analysera kontextens och lekens betydelse för lärande i de olika museala miljöerna.Tidsresan/rollspelet, som får stort utrymme i min uppsats, är uppbyggd och består av lek och upplevelse. Uppsatsens problemformulering är tematiskt utformad eftersom de är skilda företeelser och tendenser jag önskar vaska fram ur empirin, inte specifika frågor. I min strävan att uppfylla syftet har jag utgått ifrån en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi.För genererande av empirisk data har jag genomfört intervjuer med företrädare för skilda museala verksamheter samt gjort observationer av skolklasser på Vikingatiders upplevelseanläggning.Studiens resultat visar att leken har stor betydelse i de olika museala verksamheterna men den är inte uttalad.

This bachelor thesis consists of an analysis of museum environment. In the research, case studies have been done at the, Stockholm based museums, Swedish museum of Natural history?s exhibition Natur i Sverige (Nature in Sweden) and the Nordiska museet?s (Nordic history) exhibition Modemakt (Power of fashion) and learning environment Lekstugan (playhouse). The purpose of the research was to study how cultural heritage is used and developed within the museum pedagogy aimed at children. The research is based on a multimodal approach with focus on learning resources.The research examines the museums focus on children and youngsters, what the goals for this focus looks like on respective museum and how the focus is visible in the actual museums.

This research paper has examined how three teachers in a Swedish state secondary school adapt their teaching to immigrant pupils aged 13 to16 who have recently arrived in the country. The study is based on observation in the classroom and interviews with the teachers. The study showed that all the teachers adapted their teaching methods in the different subjects by actively working with language development during their lessons. The methods employed included explaining words and definitions, using visual methods of teaching and setting frequent written exercises. In this way the pupils developed their language skills whilst covering the subject coursework.

I takt med att nya och bättre material framkommit har den svenska byggnormen förändrats. Kraven gällande framförallt energianvändning har stärkts och därmed har det skapats ett behov av att förbättra och anpassa äldre byggnader efter dagens gällande krav. Ett sätt att energieffektivisera befintliga byggnader är att montera fasadelement på den befintliga fasaden. Fasadelementen måste vara lufttäta och isoleras väl för att åstadkomma en fuktsäker lösning med god energiprestanda. Det finns flera anledningar till att bygga lufttätt där de främsta är minskad energianvändning och minskad risk för fuktskador till följd av fuktkonvektion.

In this study the reliability of dominance profiles as a method of establishing a person's learning style was tested. Eight students at Malmö Academy of Music tried three different ways to learn a short melody at the piano. In this way, their preferred way of learning things (either visual, auditive or kinestetic) was established. Five of the students did best when they used a visual cue to learn a melody, and the remaining three did best when auditive cues were used. All but one of the students had the worst result in the kinestetic trial.

I denna uppsats undersöker jag hur musikproducenter ser på sitt samarbete med musiker/artister under en musikproduktion. Metoden för undersökningen är en kvalitativ intervjustudie där tre etablerade svenska musikproducenter intervjuas. Resultaten visar att musikproducenterna lägger stor vikt vid sitt samarbete med artister. Några utav slutsatserna är att musikproducentyrket idag i Sverige handlar mycket om att kunna fatta beslut och agera som en musikalisk vägledare.A recording session - A study about music producers' way to look at their cooperation with artists during recording sessions. In this paper I will investigate how music producers look at their work with musicians/artists during a recording session.

Music not only fun but also necessary. This paper investigates how young people describe their relationship to music. The young people - students - in this study are coming from two different districts of Malmö: One with a population with mainly ethnical Swedish background and the other with a multicultural population. The research question is how we can describe young people's relationship to music on the one hand from the social theories which are presented and on the other hand from own experience as a music teacher. Group interviews are used to get the young people's own descriptions.

Ledare påverkar många människor och om ledare är medvetna om sitt eget lärande kan det finnas större chans att de även är medvetna och öppna för andras lärande vilket i sin tur kan gynna hela organisationens framtid.Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva och analysera ledares uppfattning av sin utveckling i det dagliga arbetet, samt att diskutera möjligheter till förbättringar i förutsättningarna för ledares utveckling i vardagen. För att uppnå syftet genomfördes en kvalitativ undersökning med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra ledare.Resultatet pekar på att ledarna har ett i huvudsak anpassningsinriktat lärande med vissa drag åt det utvecklingsinriktade hållet. Ett uttalat utbildningsbehov finns hos ledarna och ett mindre handlingsutrymme än vad som är önskvärt för ledarnas lärande och utveckling märks.I slutet av uppsatsen diskuteras förbättringar och förutsättningar för dessa ledares möjligheter till utveckling. Det finns förhoppningar om att ledarna kan utvidga sitt lärande genom att bland annat systematisera sina reflektioner i vardagen och planera sina erfarenhetsutbyten och i samband med det få mer utväxling av lärprocessen..
