This Bachelor Thesis in the area of Computer Science and Work Science describes the process of design and development of an IT-tool between the municipality of Ron-neby and TietoEnator a development and consultancy firm, the Gothenburg office. The thesis focuses mainly on the cooperation between the consultant designer and the local municipal. Through cooperation, the organisation is incorporated into the tool and the tool is incorporated into the organisation. Concepts that are central in this thesis are design, cooperation and tailoring. A question raised is, if distance work and extensive cooperation might be a good way of working in the process of design and development, when the organisation is being incorporated into the tool.

With 25 countries being members of the European Union, travelling and working in other countries has become significantly easier. But what happens when one culture meets another one in a work situation? More specifically, what happens when French and Swedish cultures meet? Would a Swedish manager lead his team in the same way as a French one would?My question is: What is management philosophy like in Sweden and France? Do the two philosophies resemble? And if not, in what ways do they differ?The purpose of this essay is to find out, by looking at the material used at management courses, what the Swedish management philosophy really is. And then look at whether there are any similarities between this philosophy and the French one. The idea is to examine how management is being taught in both countries, by looking at what management litterature is used at some of the highest ranked management schools in Sweden and France.There have been numerous ethnological studies concerning nationality and cultural behaviour, one of the most important ones is the study done by Hofstede.

Kommunal äldreomsorg har under de två senast decennierna genomgått stora organisations-förändringar. Syftet med studien var att få insyn i hur enhetschefer i kommunal äldreomsorg upplever sin yrkesroll och hur den har förändrats i takt med olika organisationsförändringar. Ledarskap och organisationsforskning har bedrivits under lång tid, och mycket litteratur finns på området. Dock finns det få empiriska studier om den renodlade yrkesrollen enhetschef som uppkom i anslutning till att beställar- och utförarmodellens infördes i svenska kommuner un-der 1990-talet. Studien byggde på kvalitativa intervjuer med sex enhetschefer i två kommu-ner.

The aim of this paper is two-fold. Firstly, it is the production of a historical and chronological narrative describing the development of the Swedish Red Cross Hospital in Pusan during the years 1950-58. Secondly, it is the investigation of the objectives and aspirations of the organisations and institutions involved and how they affected how the hospital developed during the wartime years and up until the inauguration of the Scandinavian educational hospital, the National Medical Centre, in Seoul. Shortly after the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950 Sweden, a neutral nation, offered to send a contingent for the establishment of a 200 bed mobile field hospital which was to be subjected to the command of the Eighth US Army in Korea. In the end a larger semimobile evacuation hospital was set up in Pusan where both UN soldiers and PoWs were treated, and it came to be known as the Swedish Red Cross Hospital. The decrease in and finally the cessation of hostilities in 1953 opened up for treatment of Korean civilian patients and such work was conducted not only at the Swedish hospital but all over Pusan, though initially it was not formally sanctioned by American and UN authorities.

Vi har valt att genomfo?ra kvalitativa djupintervjuer med fyra chefer inom banksektorn i Mellansverige. Intervjuresultaten har kopplats och analyserats utifra?n relevanta teorier inom omra?det.

Ekobrottsforskningen i Sverige har länge varit ett försummat forskningsområde och idag ligger utmaningen i att skaffa kunskap kring förebyggande frågor. Tanken är att ytterligare kunskap om ekonomisk brottslighet ska leda till ett mer proaktivt agerande istället för endast ett reaktivt. Det vill säga ha tillräcklig kunskap för att kunna agera innan ett brott begås. En av de branscher som statistiskt sett ses som mest drabbad av någon form av ekonomisk brottslighet är försäkringsbranschen. Syftet med undersökningen är därför att bidra med ytterligare kunskap kring det förebyggande arbetet mot bedrägeri i försäkringsbranschen.  Detta genom att utreda hur den interna kontrollen ser ut vid skaderegleringen i svenska privata försäkringsbolag samt analysera om det finns områden inom den interna kontrollen som skulle kunna förbättras. Med utgångspunkt i COSOs vedertagna modeller för intern kontroll och risk management har semistrukturerade intervjuer utförts med representanter från tre svenska, ömsesidiga försäkringsbolag på marknaden.

The survey describes a number of risks that Swedish farming companies are exposed to. The risk areas covered by the survey are currency risks, price risks and financial risks. The survey further describes why these risks have a great impact on the future development of the farming companies. The survey highlights the interrelation between the risks and the measures which can be used to minimize the risks, so-called financial instruments. The aim of the survey is to put focus on above mentioned risks and describe how these risks can be reduced to prevent the Swedish farming industry from stagnating in the future. The survey is a secondary survey whereby existing knowledge about risks and risk management is applied to farming companies. The written information on price risks and hedging is primarily derived from foreign sources.

Kommunikation är en viktig del av en organisations miljöarbete, för att information ska kunna spridas på bästa möjliga sätt är det viktigt att kommunikationen fungerar. Kommunikation är en viktig beståndsdel i arbetet med att utbilda ungdomar och studenter i miljöfrågor. För att kunna förmedla information är det av yttersta vikt att man använder sig av effektiva kommunikationskanaler. Det är viktigt för organisationer att de vet vilken information som skall kommuniceras samt med hjälp av vilka kommunikationskanaler.Den här uppsatsen är en studie på Linköpings Universitet där det övergripande syftet var att undersöka vilka kommunikationskanaler som kan användas för att nå ut till studenter. Syftet var även att undersöka hur studenterna ser på Linköpings Universitets miljöarbete.

Aim: The aim of this study is to examine how managers apprehend today's leadership and how they believe that future leadership will be influenced and developed when the people bourn during the nineteen forties pass on their management positions to a younger generation.Method: I share the hermeneutic view on science. I believe that knowledge is born with in the person who seeks to obtain it. I have chosen to conduct my study using a qualitative and inductive approach. I use an inductive approach as I answer my questions by using interviews in order to respond to my question at issues, and assumes from the empiric in my study.Result & Conclusions: The leadership role has changed from being? the one who decides?,? the director?, to becoming less peculiar and prestige.

AbstractThe intention of our study is to examine how the view of homeless people and their life situation looks according to a selection of persons, which in their work get into contact with homeless people. The study is based on a qualitative method that includes interviews.The result of the study is based on interviews with eight persons working in the social services, volunteer organisations, the police and a security organisation. The majority of the persons that have been interviewed are normalising homeless people; they do not look upon them as different. At the same time they have the opinion that homeless people live a tougher life and that they have to fight more for their living than other people. The persons that we have interviewed share the view that homeless people live under a constant pressure of finding a place to sleep.

The question about how the unemployment insurance should be designed is today a veryinteresting topic. In 2007 the Swedish government introduced an increased financial fee formembers in the unemployment benefit societies. Since this the number of members in thesesocieties has decreased dramatically. At the same time Sören Öman was appointed head of acommission whose obligation was to investigate the initiation of compulsory unemploymentinsurance. In May 2008 Öman delivered a separate report describing how the initiation of theinsurance should be dealt with.

For most pupils homework is a natural part of school and their education and there are several providers of homework assistance: the pupil's parents, sibblings, friends, Internet forums, hired private tutoring, non-profit organisations and at times even the pupil's school. This study has investigated the use of the school-based homework assistance programme at the Upper Secondary School of Psychology in Stockholm and why the programme is not more frequently used by its pupils. The school offers homework assistance two hours each Thursday afternoon, with at least two teachers being present to tender for the school's 127 pupils. The cost of the programme has been estimated to approximately 12 500 Swedish kronor per week. Through the main use of a questionnaire given to both the school's students and teachers, as well as an interview with the school's headmaster, this study will show that despite receiving the opportunity few pupils take part of the programme on a regular basis.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda hur en organisation kan främja och tillvarata sin kreativa potential. För att finna svar på frågeställningen tog vi till en början till oss litteratur inom kreativitets-, organisations- och förändringsområdena och identifierade därigenom åtta viktiga, återkommande faktorer för att främja och tillvarata kreativitet. Dessa är vision, kontinuitet, delaktighet, mångfald, öppenhet, resurser, kunskapsförvaltning och motivation. Litteraturstudierna gav oss underlag för en kompletterande empirisk studie. I ett andra led gjorde vi alltså en kvalitativ studie för att visa på en praktisk lösning av problemet.
