Elevers koncentrationsförmåga under matematiklektioner på förmiddagar och eftermiddagar
This project has aim to examine how students experience their concentration ability during mathematics lessons in the mornings and afternoons, and how students? learning can be in-fluenced by the concentration ability during mathematics lesson in the morning and after-noons respectively? Which role do the methods of learning play in mathematic depending on which time it is carried out during mornings or afternoons with regard to student concentra-tion ability? In order to find out those issues, I used two methods; (interview and observa-tion).Interview with 4 students and 3 teachers and observations of 4 mathematics lessons based on a qualitative method. In order to measure students' concentration ability during ma-thematics education on various times, I distributed questions to 23 students and repeated it during each lesson that I have observed from a quantitative approach in two classes in a sec-ondary school. In the literature I discuss the definition of concentration, and factors affecting the concentration negatively and positively. What is the relationship between concentration, learning and type of activity and how individuals can improve their learning and attention? In addition I studied two earlier studies on the concentration.

The aim of this study is to investigate into the use of discussions in the classroom to help the pupils develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and operations. The empirical data contain interviews with two teachers and observations from their lessons. The purpose of the interviews was to find out what importance the teachers ascribed to the ability of their pupils to talk about mathematics, and how they organised their classes to encourage mathematical discussions. With the observations, I was able to see the interaction in the classroom and hear discussions between the teacher and the pupils, as well as between the pupils themselves.The interviewed teachers proved to share my own belief in the results of researchers like Malmer (1999) and Löwing (2006) about the importance of verbal discussion, argumentation and reflection during mathematics classes. But convictions derived from the research of others are one thing, the practical application of the wisdom in the classroom another.

Seventy-two working horses (they had been ridden with bit and bridle within the last two weeks) were examined in the oral cavity. Findings and status were noted. The horses were randomly chosen among individuals without clinical symptoms from the mouth and gastrointestinal system.
The result showed that 93% of the horses had changes in the mucus membranes, 86% in the form of ulcerations. The P2 region was most commonly affected followed by wounds more caudally in the mouth (P3-M3 region).

Digitala redskap i skolan : Teknik och pedagogik
I en skola som i hög grad är utrustad med digital teknik utnyttjas ändå inte tekniken till alla de möjligheter som IT erbjuder. Pedagogikens utveckling i förhållande till tekniken diskuteras i det här arbetet utifrån ett lärarperspektiv. Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka hur lärare på gymnasiet använder och integrerar digitala redskap i undervisningen, samt hur de beskriver möjligheter och förutsättningar att utveckla undervisningen med hjälp av digitala redskap. För att få svar på våra frågor har vi gjort en enkätundersökning på fyra kommunala skolor. Våra resultat visar att lärarna använder och integrerar digitala redskap i ganska stor utsträckning, men det finns fortfarande många som inte utnyttjar redskapen fullt ut.
Individualiserad matematikundervisning : en kvalitativ studie om lärares arbete med individualisering i förhållande till högpresterande elever
The purspose of this study is to investigate how teachers are working to individualize mathemathics education relative to high-performing students and how they define the therm individualization. According to the Swedish curriculum the teaching process should be based on the students prevoius knowledge and experiences. The teachers should in their preperation take every student in to consideration. To be able to investigate these subjets I prepared following questions:What does the concept of individualization in mathematics mean for the teachers?What does it mean to work with an individualized mathematics teaching?How does teachers individualizes teaching mathematics relative to high performing students?This study is based on a qualitative method with both interviews and observations.
Attityder inom extrem kampsport : En undersökning om Mixed Martial Arts inverkan på utövaren
There have been debates on the big differences in mathematics knowledge concerning pupils in Sweden and Finland. Especially, one common issue in the discussions of education is the Pisa test results, which take up in the media. In the Pisa research the Finnish pupils get through well year after year. Because of the discussions about the distinct school systems in Sweden and Finland, I found it interesting to investigate the divergence of the curriculums in these two countries. The main research questions asked were, what are the main differences and similarities in the Swedish and Finnish curriculums in primary school? Such as, is the assignment of primary school similar in Sweden and Finland?In my study I analyzed and compared by means of the curriculum especially mathe-matics teaching in primary schools in grade three in Sweden and in grade two Fin-land.
Elevprestationer och lärstilar : En intervju- och observationsstudie i matematik med lärare i år 4-6
This study investigates the teaching strategies of four teachers, and determines which teaching strategies give better results in mathematics at the middle school level? Result here means the knowledge level of the students. The result has been measured through leave out a mathematical test, which I leave out designed. Teaching strategies have been assessed through interviews with teachers and observations of their lessons.My study shows that to go through the lessons thoroughly in the traditional way, and open discussions with the whole class are best for students achievements.The information available, however, is too limited to draw some general conclusions, but my study can be seen more like a counter-example to the general praxis that is short lectures and individual assessment with one to one communication when teaching mathematics..
Oral status hos patienter inom palliativ vård. En litteraturstudie om livskvalitet och sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsårgärder.
Syftet med studien var att sammanställa vetenskaplig litteratur angående patienternas livskvalitet samt sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder med avseende på orala komplikationer som är ett vanligt förekommande problem hos patienter inom palliativ vård. Våra frågeställningar var: Hur påverkar orala komplikationer livskvalitet hos patienter inom palliativ vård? Vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder kan sjuksköterskan utföra dels för att patienter ska bibehålla god oral status och dels för att patienternas resurser stärks och balansen mellan dagliga livets krav och inre respektive yttre resurser upprätthålls? Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på elva vetenskapliga artiklar. Som teoretisk referensram valdes Carnevalis balansmodell, Dagligt liv - Funktionellt hälsotillstånd. Resultatet visar att fysiska besvär och psykosocialt lidande till följd av orala komplikationer påverkade patienternas livskvalitet i stor utsträckning.

This report is the result of a thesis carried out at the Department of Innovation, Design and Technology (IDT), at Mälardalen University on behalf of ABB AB Machines.The year was 1988 when ASEA and Brown Boveri formed a joint venture under the name ABB (Asea Brown Boveri).We perform our thesis at the division Discrete Automation and Motion where they primarily develops, manufactures and sells synchronous and asynchronous AC motors and generators.The main purpose of this thesis was initially to write a general packaging instruction, but the priority changed to develop more specific packaging instructions for Rotors, Stator gables, Bearing support and Outer Cover (plates) instead.The work started off to deal with a problem about that the staff had to start its work to grind away rust on the stator gables due to those stored outdoors. The result was mainly an investment in a new gable rack so that the material can be stored inside, as well as a packing instruction as it was originally intended.The problem on the bearing supports were that the staff thought it was demanding and difficult to clean them from the rustproofing they were greased in. If it is not possible to remove all rust protection it can cause the paint to not attach properly. After having compared with similar articles a test were done to order a pair of bearing supports without corrosion inhibitor, which gave good results. This initiative also set in motion a process to do the same for more different items.For special pallet, a survey were made of the process with two different VSM and a calculation of how much ABB would earn at ordering more special pallets than getting the material delivered on the A-pallets.
Elevers uppfattningar om laborativt material i matematikundervisningen
Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på elevers uppfattningar om laborativt material i matematikundervisningen. Även hur liknande form av undersökning kunde gynna läraren till att få reda på vilken typ av undervisning som eleverna föredrar. Motivationen som låg till grund för studien var erfarenheter utifrån VFU (verksamhetsförlagd utbildning) samt erfarenheter av forskningslitteratur. En stor del av forskningen har påvisat att elever som arbetar med laborativt material i matematik presterar bättre än elever som inte arbetar med laborativt material. Därför förespråkar forskningslitteraturen inom detta område att lärare borde arbeta med laborativt material under alla åren i skolan.
Oral hälsorelaterad livskvalitet hos patienter med dentala implantat : en enkätstudie
Syfte: Syftet med denna enkätstudie var att kartlägga hur dental implantatbehandling påverkar livskvaliteten avseende upplevd tuggförmåga, smak, talet, utseendet och munhygienvanor samt själförtroendet.Material och metod: En empirisk enkätstudie med kvantitativ ansats utfördes på tre olika tandkliniker i Stockholm under perioden feb - april 2012. Enkät med följebrev och frankerat svarskuvert sändes ut genom konsekutivt urval till 83 patienter. Fyrtio patienter varav 15 män och 25 kvinnor, med medelåldrar 66,5 år (34 ? 89 år), valde att delta i studien. Analys av svaren utfördes i statistikprogrammet IBM® SPSS® 19.Resultat: Andelen deltagare som upplevde en förbättring i upplevd tuggförmåga uppgick till 42,5 %, talet och smaken upplevdes inte ha förändrats av 85,0 % efter implantatbehandling.

Grundskolans nya kursplan för matematik : en jämförande analys av den nu rådande och den kommande kursplanen för matematik
The purpose of this study has been to compare the present with the future syllabus of mathematics. With a text analytical approach has questions about how the structure is different, how the look at knowledge has changed and which learning theory that characterizes the two syllabus been answered. As a theoretical framework I adopt three different learning theories, behaviourism, cognitivism and the socio-cultural perspective. The pervious research I have looked at is the concept of knowledge an the underlying theories to previous curriculum. During the increase results in the greatest difference seen in the structure.
Vårdpersonals kunskaper om och attityder till äldres munvård
Den äldre populationen tenderar att öka och åldrandet gör att de äldre kan ha särskilda behov när det gäller den orala omvårdnaden. Syftet med studien var att genom en systematisk litteraturstudie dels beskriva vårdpersonals kunskaper och attityder till äldres munvård och dels att beskriva hur dessa kunskaper och attityder påverkas av munvårdsutbildning. Frågeställningar som användes i studien var: Vilka kunskaper och attityder har vårdpersonal avseende munvård av äldre personer som är i behov av omsorg? Hur påverkas vårdpersonal av munvårdsutbildning gällande kunskaper och attityder till munvård hos äldre personer som är i behov av omsorg? Resultaten tyder på att kunskaper gällande oral hälsa är bristfällig hos vårdpersonal men samtidigt visar studien att flertalet vårdpersonal ansåg att det finns ett samband mellan oral hälsa och allmänhälsa. Resultaten visar även att munvård ofta ges låg prioritet när det kommer till omhändertagande av äldre och tidsbrist ansågs vara en bidragande faktor till detta.
